Delete Your Account

You can delete your Bible Study with Steffi account and the data stored with it at any time. You don't need an account to use most of the app; this only applies if you signed in (Google or email).

Option 1: In the app (immediate)

1. Open the Bible Study app (by Bible Study with Steffi) and sign in, if you aren't signed in already.
2. Go to Settings → Advanced → Delete account.
3. Confirm twice. Your account and cloud data are deleted right away.

Option 2: Without the app (by request)

Send a request through our contact form with the subject "Delete my account" and the email address (or, for older accounts, phone number) you signed in with. We may reply to confirm it is your account, then delete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in account (Firebase Authentication)
• Cloud Sync backup (progress, bookmarks, highlights, collections, plans, settings)
• Quiz and duel history, leaderboard scores and points, daily duel records
• Push notification token
• Rooms memberships; your chat messages are removed and shown as "Deleted user"
• Your friend card and friend requests

What is kept, and for how long

• Reports about you that other people filed, with the reported message, are kept for safety until resolved and then for 180 days.
• Finished duels and room quiz results in other players' history keep the opponent name they saw.
• Anonymous usage and crash reports contain no name or account details and expire under Google's standard retention.
• Data on your phone (progress, journal, settings) stays on the device until you use Settings → Advanced → Reset Progress or uninstall the app.
