Bible Study with Steffi ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to run the app:

• Account info: If you create an account, we store your display name and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication.
• Local app data: Memorization progress, quiz scores, bookmarks, collections, and settings are stored on your device via AsyncStorage.
• Leaderboard: If you score 5 or above in a quiz, your display name and score are stored in Firebase Firestore and visible to other users.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to operate the app — scheduling verse reviews, tracking progress, and displaying leaderboard rankings. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.

3. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Authentication and leaderboard storage. Google's privacy policy applies.
• AI Services: Commentary translations may use AI. No personal data is sent — only Bible text.
• Website contact form: Messages are delivered through Formspree. Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs in the background to reduce spam; see Google's policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Most data lives locally on your device. Cloud data (leaderboard, account) is stored in Firebase with standard encryption.

5. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. App content is suitable for all ages. If you believe a child has provided personal data, use our contact form.

6. Your Rights

Delete local data any time by clearing app storage or uninstalling. To remove cloud data (leaderboard scores), use our contact form and include the display name you used in the app.

7. Advertising

There are no ads in this app. We don't share data with ad networks.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will appear here with an updated date.
