1ମନ୍ଦ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଇର୍ଷା କର ନାହିଁ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମଧ୍ଯ ସାଙ୍ଗ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ।
1Don't be envious of evil men; Neither desire to be with them:
2ସମାନେେ ମନ ରେ ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ଯ କଳ୍ପନା କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଅନିଷ୍ଟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କହନ୍ତି।
2For their hearts plot violence, And their lips talk about mischief.
3ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଓ ଜ୍ଞାନଦ୍ବାରା ଉତ୍ତମ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମିତ ହୁଏ।
3Through wisdom a house is built; By understanding it is established;
4ଜ୍ଞାନ ରେ ତାହାର କଠାେରୀ ସବୁ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଓ ମନୋରମ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଏ।
4By knowledge the rooms are filled With all rare and beautiful treasure.
5ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ ଲୋକମାନେ ବଳବାନ୍ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଏବଂ ବିଦ୍ବାନ୍ ଲୋକମାନେ ବଳ ବଢ଼ାନ୍ତି।
5A wise man has great power; And a knowledgeable man increases strength;
6ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଯତ୍ନ ରେ ଯୋଜନା କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଜଯ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଉତ୍ତମ ଉପଦେଷ୍ଟା ରହିବା ଉଚିତ।
6For by wise guidance you wage your war; And victory is in many advisors.
7ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ଲୋକମାନେ ଜ୍ଞାନକୁ ବୁଝିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ଯେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରନ୍ତି ବୋକାମାନେ ନୀରବ ରୁହନ୍ତି।
7Wisdom is too high for a fool: He doesn't open his mouth in the gate.
8ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ମନ୍ଦକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଯୋଜନା କରନ୍ତି, ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କୁସନ୍ଧାନୀ ବୋଲି କହିବେ। ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କଥା ଶୁଣିବେ ନାହିଁ।
8One who plots to do evil Will be called a schemer.
9ନିର୍ବୋଧ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯାହାସବୁ ଯୋଜନା କରନ୍ତି, ତାହା ପାପ। ଲୋକମାନେ ସହେି ଲୋକକୁ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି ୟିଏ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ନିଜକୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ବୋଲି ବିବଚେନା କରେ।
9The schemes of folly are sin. The mocker is detested by men.
10ବିପଦ ଦିନ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଭୀରୁ ଦଖାଇବେ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶକ୍ତି କ୍ଷୀଣ ହବେ।
10If you falter in the time of trouble, Your strength is small.
11ଯଦି ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୋଜନା କରନ୍ତି ଏକ ଲୋକକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର।
11Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!
12ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏପରି କୁହ ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ମାରେ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ଯ ନୁହେଁ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷଯ ଜାଣନ୍ତି। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ କର୍ମକୁ ଦେଖୁଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣସବୁ କରୁଅଛ। ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉତ୍ତମ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପୁରସ୍କୃତ କରିବେ।
12If you say, "Behold, we didn't know this;" Doesn't he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn't he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?
13ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମହୁ ଖାଅ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ତାହା ଭଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧୁ ଚାଖି ଖାଅ, ଯେ ହତେୁ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସୁସ୍ବାଦୁ ଲାଗିବ।
13My son, eat honey, for it is good; The droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste:
14ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି ଭାବରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣ ପାଇଁ ମହୁପରି ଅଟେ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆହରଣ କର, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ରହିବ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଶା କବେେ ଶଷେ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
14So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul; If you have found it, then there will be a reward, Your hope will not be cut off.
15ହେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଧାର୍ମିକର ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଓଗାଳି ବସ ନାହିଁ। ତାହାର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ସ୍ଥାନ ଲୁଟ କର ନାହିଁ।
15Don't lay in wait, wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous. Don't destroy his resting-place:
16ଧାର୍ମିକମାନେ ସାତଥର ପଡ଼ିଲେ ହେଁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉଠନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ବିପଦ ରେ ପରାସ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
16For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again; But the wicked are overthrown by calamity.
17ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁ ସମସ୍ଯା ରେ ଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହସ ନାହିଁ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ପଡ଼ିୟାଏ, ସହେି ସମୟରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଖୁସି ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ।
17Don't rejoice when your enemy falls. Don't let your heart be glad when he is overthrown;
18ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏପରି କର, ତାହା ମଧ୍ଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦେଖିବେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏପରି କର୍ମ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଖୁସି ହବେେ ନାହିଁ। ଏହାପ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିପାରନ୍ତି।
18Lest Yahweh see it, and it displease him, And he turn away his wrath from him.
19ମନ୍ଦକର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସକାେଶ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ଏବଂ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଇର୍ଷା କର ନାହିଁ।
19Don't fret yourself because of evildoers; Neither be envious of the wicked:
20ମନ୍ଦ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ନାହିଁ। ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଦୀପ ନିଭାୟିବ।
20For there will be no reward to the evil man; And the lamp of the wicked shall be snuffed out.
21ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କର। ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଜଡିତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
21My son, fear Yahweh and the king. Don't join those who are rebellious:
22କାରଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ହଠାତ୍ ବିପଦ ଘଟିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏବଂ ରାଜା ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କି ବିପଦ ଆଣନ୍ତି।
22For their calamity will rise suddenly; The destruction from them both�who knows?
23ଏହିସବୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନଙ୍କର କଥା ଅଟେ ;
23These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good.
24ସହେି ଧାର୍ମିକ ୟିଏ ଏକ ଦୋଷୀ ମନୁଷ୍ଯକୁ କ ହେ, 'ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିରୀହ ଅଟ,' ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦବେେ। ଏପରିକି ଅନ୍ୟ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଯମାନେ ନିନ୍ଦା କରିବେ।
24He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous;" Peoples shall curse him, and nations shall abhor him�
25ଯେଉଁମାନେ ନିଜର ଦୋଷକୁ ସାବ୍ଯସ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ଧନବାନ୍ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଭଲ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଲାଭ କରନ୍ତି।
25But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, And a rich blessing will come on them.
26ୟିଏ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଏ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆନନ୍ଦ ଦିଏ। ଏହା ଓଠ ରେ ଚୁମ୍ବନ ତୁଲ୍ଯ।
26An honest answer Is like a kiss on the lips.
27ବାହା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯର ଆଯୋଜନ କର। ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସହେି କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର। ଏହାପ ରେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କର।
27Prepare your work outside, And get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house.
28ଏକ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କାରଣ ବିନା ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀର ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ। ମିଥ୍ଯା କୁହ ନାହିଁ।
28Don't be a witness against your neighbor without cause. Don't deceive with your lips.
29 ସେ ମାେପ୍ରତି ଯେପରି କରିଅଛି, ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ମୁଁ ସପରେି କରିବି ଓ ତାହାର କର୍ମାନୁସା ରେ ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦବେି, ଏପରି କୁହ ନାହିଁ।
29Don't say, "I will do to him as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work."
30ମୁଁ ଅଳସୁଆର କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଓ ନିର୍ ବୋଧ ଲୋକର ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଦଇେ ଗଲି।
30I went by the field of the sluggard, By the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
31ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି ତହିଁର ସବୁଆଡ଼େ କଣ୍ଟା ବଢ଼ିଅଛି। ବିଛୁଆତି ତହିଁ ଉପ ରେ ବଢ଼ିଅଛି। ତହିଁର ପଥର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ସବୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଅଛି।
31Behold, it was all grown over with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles, And its stone wall was broken down.
32ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଅନାଇଲି, ପୁଣି ମନୋୟୋଗ କଲି, ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି ଓ ଉପଦେଶ ପାଇଲି।
32Then I saw, and considered well. I saw, and received instruction:
33ଦିନ ବେଳେ ଗଡିପଡ଼ି ତୁମ୍ଭର ହାତକୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦଇେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଶାଇେ ରୁହ,
33A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep;
34ତବେେ ଦରିଦ୍ରତା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରକୁ ଖଳବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଭାବ ସସଜ୍ଜ ଲୋକ ପରି ଆସିବ। ଯେଉଁଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଅସମର୍ଥ ହବେ।
34So shall your poverty come as a robber, And your want as an armed man.
