ଅନନ୍ତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2
ଏକ ମନୁଷ୍ଯକୁ, ଯାହାକୁ ହାନିକାରକ ଚର୍ମରୋଗ ପ୍ରମହେ ଓ ୟିଏ ମୃତଶବକୁ ଛୁଇଁଥାଏ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ଛାଉଣୀରୁ ବାହାରକୁ ୟିବ, ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ।

"Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has an issue, and whoever is unclean by the dead.
3
ପୁରୁଷ ବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ୟିଏ ହେଉନା କାହିଁକି ଛାଉଣୀର ବାହା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ରଖିବ। ୟଦ୍ବାରା ଯେଉଁ ଛାଉଣୀ ମଧିଅରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାସ କରୁ, ତାହା ସମାନେେ ଅଶୁଚି କରିବେ ନାହିଁ।

Both male and female shall you put out, outside of the camp shall you put them; that they not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell."

ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଛାଉଣୀର ବାହା ରେ ରଖିଲେ।

The children of Israel did so, and put them out outside of the camp; as Yahweh spoke to Moses, so did the children of Israel.

ଅନନ୍ତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ କିମ୍ବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯଦି କୌଣସି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଅପରାଧ କରେ, ତବେେ ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅପରାଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଦୋଷୀ।

"Speak to the children of Israel: When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit, so as to trespass against Yahweh, and that soul is guilty;
7
ତେଣୁ ସେ ଲୋକ ଆପଣାକୃତ ପାପ ସ୍ବୀକାର କରିବ ଓ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣରୂପେ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ କ୍ଷତିପୂରଣ ଦବେ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ପାଞ୍ଚମାଂଶ ଅଧିକ ମିଶାଇ ଯାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଦୋଷ କରିଛି ତାକୁ ପରିଶାଧେ କରିବ।

then he shall confess his sin which he has done, and he shall make restitution for his guilt in full, and add to it the fifth part of it, and give it to him in respect of whom he has been guilty.

ଦୋଷକର୍ତ୍ତା ଦୋଷ ପାଇଁ ଯାହାକୁ କ୍ଷତିପୂରଣ ଦବୋ କଥା ସେ ଯଦି ମୃତ ହାଇେଥାଏ ଓ ତାହାର ଜ୍ଞାତି ରେ କହେି ନଥାନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପରିଶାଧେ କରିବ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଷତିପୂରଣ ଦବେ, ତାହା ଯାଜକର ହବେ ଓ ତାହା ସହିତ ସହେି ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ତା'ର ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ମଷେ ବଳି ଉସର୍ଗ କରିବ।

But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution for guilt which is made to Yahweh shall be the priest's; besides the ram of the atonement, by which atonement shall be made for him.
9
ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ନିଜନିଜ ପବିତ୍ର-ବସ୍ତୁ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଉପହାର ଯାଜକ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣନ୍ତି, ତାହାସବୁ ତାହାର ହବେ।
9
Every heave offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present to the priest, shall be his.
10
ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ମନୁଷ୍ଯର ଅଧିକାର ରେ ଥିବା ସବୁ କିଛି ତା'ର ନିଜର ହାଇେ ରହିଥାଏ, ଯେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସେ ତାହା ଅର୍ପଣ କରିନାହିଁ। ଯାହା ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଯାଜକଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ତାହା ଯାଜକର ହବେ।

Every man's holy things shall be his: whatever any man gives the priest, it shall be his."
11
ଅନନ୍ତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, କୌଣସୀ ମନୁଷ୍ଯର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯବେେ ବିପଥଗାମିନୀ ହାଇେ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ସତ୍ଯ ଲଘଂନ କରେ,

"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them: If any man's wife goes astray, and is unfaithful to him,
13
ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଯଦି ସେ କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ତା'ର ସ୍ବାମୀର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଅଗୋଚର ରେ ଦୈହିକ ସଂପର୍କ ରେଖ। ସେ ଯଦି ସେ କଳୁଷିତ ହାଇେଥାଏ, ତା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କହେି ସାକ୍ଷୀ ନଥାଏ କିମ୍ବା ସେ କର୍ମ ବେଳେ ଧରା ପଡିନଥାଏ,

and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and is kept close, and she is defiled, and there is no witness against her, and she isn't taken in the act;
14
ଆଉ ଯବେେ ତା'ର ସ୍ବାମୀ ସନ୍ଦହେ କରେ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ନିଜକୁ କଳୁଷିତ କରିଥାଏ, ସେ ତାକୁ ସନ୍ଦହେ କରେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ କଳୁଷିତ କର୍ମ କରିନଥାଏ।

and the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she isn't defiled:
15
ତବେେ ସହେି ପୁରୁଷ ନିଜ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଯାଜକ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବ, ତା'ର ଉପହାର ଐଫାର ଦଶମାଂଶ ବାର୍ଲି ମଇଦା ଆଣିବ, ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ସେ ତୈଳ ଢାଳିବ ନାହିଁ, ଅବା ଧୂପ ସେଥି ରେ ସଂୟୋଗ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହା ଇର୍ଷାର ଶସ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ, ତାହାର ଦୋଷକୁ ଅନାବୃତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏହି ଶସ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରାଗଲା।

then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring her offering for her: the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal. He shall pour no oil on it, nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to memory.
16
ତା'ପରେ ଯାଜକ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକକୁ ନଇେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଛିଡା କରାଇବ।

The priest shall bring her near, and set her before Yahweh;
17
ଯାଜକ ଗୋଟିଏ ମାଟି ପାତ୍ର ରେ ପବିତ୍ର ଜଳ ନବେ ଓ କିଛି ଧୂଳି ପବିତ୍ର ତମ୍ବୁର ଚଟାଣରୁ ନଇେ ପାଣି ରେ ପକାଇବ।
17
and the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water.
18
ତହୁଁ ଯାଜକ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରିବ ଓ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ମସ୍ତକର କେଶ ମୁକୁଳା କରି ସହେି ଭକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଈର୍ଷାର ଭକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ଯାହା ତା'ର ଦୋଷକୁ ଅନାବୃତ କରେ, ତାହାର ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଦବେ; ପୁଣି ଯାଜକ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଶାପ ଜନକ ତିକ୍ତ ଜଳ ରଖିବ ତାହା ଅଭିଶାପ ଆଣିବ।
18
The priest shall set the woman before Yahweh, and let the hair of the woman's head go loose, and put the meal offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal offering of jealousy. The priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that brings a curse.
19
ଆଉ ଯାଜକ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଶପଥ କରାଇ କହିବ, 'ଯଦି କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଶଯନ କରି ଶରୀର ମିଳନ ନଥାଏ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସ୍ବାମୀକୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲ, ତବେେ ଏହି ଶାପୟୁକ୍ତ ତିକ୍ତ ଜଳ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରଭାବ ପକାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
19
The priest shall cause her to swear, and shall tell the woman, 'If no man has lain with you, and if you haven't gone aside to uncleanness, being under your husband, be free from this water of bitterness that brings a curse.
20
ମାତ୍ର ଯବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ବାମୀଙ୍କ ବିବାହ କରିବା ବେଳେ ବିପଥଗାମିନୀ ହାଇେଥାଅ ଓ ସ୍ବାମୀକୁ ଛାଡି ଅନ୍ୟ ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ଶଯନ କରିଥାଅ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଳୁଷିତ ହାଇେଛ।
20
But if you have gone astray, being under your husband, and if you are defiled, and some man has lain with you besides your husband:'
21
ତଦନନ୍ତର ଯାଜକ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଅଭିଶାପର ଶପଥ କରାଇବ।
21
then the priest shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall tell the woman, 'Yahweh make you a curse and an oath among your people, when Yahweh allows your thigh to fall away, and your body to swell;
22
ତହିଁରେ 'ଏହି ଶାପଜନକ ଜଳ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉଦର ଭିତରକୁ ୟିବ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଜନନ ଅଙ୍ଗକୁ ଫୁଲାଇ ପଡିୟିବାର କାରଣ ହବେ, ଏବଂ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିବ ଆମେନ୍! ଆମେନ୍!
22
and this water that brings a curse will go into your bowels, and make your body swell, and your thigh fall away.' The woman shall say, 'Amen, Amen.'
23
ତା'ପରେ ଯାଜକ ସହେି ଅଭିଶାପଗୁଡିକ ଏକ ନଳାକାର ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖିବ ଏବଂ ସହେି ଶାପଗୁଡିକ ପାଣି ରେ ଧୋଇଦବେ।
23
"The priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out into the water of bitterness.
24
ତା'ପରେ ଯାଜକ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଶାପଜନକ ତିକ୍ତଜଳ ପିଆଇବ। ତହିଁରେ ସହେି ଶାପଜନକ ତିକ୍ତଜଳ ତା'ର ଉଦର ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶକରିବ ଏବଂ କଷ୍ଟ ଦବୋର କାରଣ ହବେ, ଯଦି ସେ ଦୋଷୀ।
24
He shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that causes the curse; and the water that causes the curse shall enter into her and become bitter.
25
ଆଉ ଯାଜକ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ହସ୍ତରୁ ସହେି ଈର୍ଷାର ଭକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ନଇେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଉଠାଇବ, ଏବଂ ବଦେୀ ଉପରକୁ ଆଣିବ।
25
The priest shall take the meal offering of jealousy out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the meal offering before Yahweh, and bring it to the altar.
26
ତହୁଁ ଯାଜକ ସହେି ଭକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯରୁ ମୁଠାଏ ତହିଁର ସ୍ମରଣାର୍ଥକ ଅଂଶ ରୂପେ ନଇେ ବଦେି ଉପରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବ ଓ ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ସହେି ଜଳ ପାନ କରାଇବ।
26
The priest shall take a handful of the meal offering, as the memorial of it, and burn it on the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.
27
ଯବେେ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ଚରିତ୍ର ଏବଂ ତା'ର ସ୍ବାମୀ ପ୍ରତି ଅବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ହାଇେଥାଏ, ତବେେ ସହେି ଶାପଜନକ ଜଳ ତାହା ମଧିଅରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଦବେ। ତାହାର ପ୍ରଜନନ ଅଗଂ ଫୁଲିବ ଏବଂ ଓହଳି ପଡିବ। ଆଉ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆପଣା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଶାପ ସ୍ବରୂପ ହବେ।
27
When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled, and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away: and the woman will be a curse among her people.
28
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଅସତ୍ଯ ବ୍ଯବହାର ନକରିଥାଏ କିନ୍ତୁ ପବିତ୍ର, ତବେେ ସହେି ଅଭିଶାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହବେ ଏବଂ ଗର୍ଭଧାରଣ କରିବ।
28
If the woman isn't defiled, but is clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
29
ଏହା ଇର୍ଷାଜନକ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା, ଯଥା: ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସ୍ବାମୀର ଅଧୀନ ରେ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ବିପଥଗାମୀ ହାଇେ ଅଶୁଚି ହେଲେ।
29
"This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goes astray, and is defiled;
30
ଯଦି ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଏହି ବିଷଯ ରେ ତା'ର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ସନ୍ଦହେ କରେ, ସେ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇବ, ପୁଣି ଯାଜକ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରତି ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ପାଳନ କରିବ।
30
or when the spirit of jealousy comes on a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then he shall set the woman before Yahweh, and the priest shall execute on her all this law.
31
ତହିଁରେ ସହେି ପୁରୁଷ ଅପରାଧରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହବେ ଓ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଅପରାଧ ବହନ କରିବ।

The man shall be free from iniquity, and that woman shall bear her iniquity."
