ଦାଉଦ ଦୁର୍ଗ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ନଗର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସେ ମିଲ୍ଲୋଠାରୁ ନଗର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତାହା ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ଯୋୟାବ ନଗରର ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଂଶଗୁଡ଼ିକର ମରାମତି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ।

He built the city round about, from Millo even round about; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
