1परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला, “अहरोनाचे मुलगे, जे याजक त्यांना असे सांग की मेलेल्या माणसाला र्स्ण्श करुन याजकाने स्वत:ला अशुद्ध करून घेऊ नये.
1Yahweh said to Moses, "Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, 'A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people;
2परंतु आपले जवळचे नातलग म्हणजे आपली आई, बाप मुलगा, मुलगी, भाऊ,
2except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,
3आणि आपल्या जवळ असलेली आपली अविवाहित बहीण ह्यांच्या प्रेताला स्पर्श केल्यास हरकत नाही.
3and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.
4याजक आपल्या लोकांचा प्रमुख असल्यामुळे त्याने सामान्य माणसाप्रमाणे स्वत:ला अपवित्र करुन घेऊ नये.
4He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
5“याजकांनी आपल्या डोक्याचे मुंडण करु नये; आपल्या दाढीचे कोपरे छाटू नयेत किंवा आपल्या शरीरावर घाव करु नयेत;
5"'They shall not shave their heads, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beards, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
6त्यांनी आपल्या देवासाठी पवित्र राहावे आणि आपल्या देवाच्या नांवाचा मान राखावा. त्याचे भय धरावे. आणि त्याच्या नांवाला काळिमा लावू नये; ते अग्नीद्वारे परमेश्वराला अर्पण म्हणजे अन्नार्पण अर्पित असतात म्हणून त्यांनी अवश्य पवित्र राहावे.
6They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.
7याजक पवित्रपणे देवाची सेवा करतात म्हणून त्यांनी भ्रष्ट झालेल्या स्त्रीला, वेश्येला, किंवा नवऱ्याने टाकलेल्या स्त्रीला आपली बायको करुन घेऊ नये.
7"'They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane; neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband: for he is holy to his God.
8याजक पवित्रपणे देवाला अन्नार्पण करतो म्हणून तुम्ही त्याला पवित्र मानावे; कारण तो पवित्र वस्तू देवाकडे घेऊन जातो! तो देवाला पवित्र अन्नार्पण करतो आणि मी पवित्र आहे.
8You shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of your God: he shall be holy to you: for I Yahweh, who sanctify you, am holy.
9“एखाद्या याजकाची मुलगी वेश्याक्रम करील तर ती भ्रष्ट होईल, व आपल्या पावित्र्याचा नाश करुन घेईल; आणि त्यामुळे ती आपल्या बापाच्या पावित्र्याला काळिमा लावील; तिला अग्नीत जाळून टाकावे.
9"'The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father: she shall be burned with fire.
10“आपल्या भावांतून मुख्य याजक निवडला गेला, त्याच्या मस्तकावर अभिषेकाचे तेल ओतले गेले आणि पवित्र वस्त्रे परिधान करावयास त्याच्यावर संस्कार झाला; अशा रीतीने याजक ह्या नात्याने पवित्र सेवा करण्यासाठी त्याची निवड झाली आहे, म्हणून त्याने आपल्या डोक्याचे केस मोकळे सोडू नयेत व लोकांच्यात शोकप्रदर्शनार्थ आपली वस्त्रे फाडू नयेत;
10"'He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, nor tear his clothes;
11त्याने आपणाला अशुद्ध करुन घेऊ नये; त्याने प्रेताजवळ जाऊ नये; आपल्या बापाच्या किंवा आईच्या प्रेताजवळही जाऊ नये.
11neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
12त्याने पवित्रस्थानाबाहेर जाऊ नये, त्याने अशुद्ध होऊ नये व आपल्या देवाचे पवित्रस्थान भ्रष्ट करु नये; त्याच्या डोक्यावर अभिषेकाचे तेल ओतल्यामुळे त्याच्यावर संस्कार झाला आहे व त्यामुळे इतर लोकांपासून तो वेगळा झाला आहे. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
12neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am Yahweh.
13“त्याने कुमारिकेशीच लग्न करावे,
13"'He shall take a wife in her virginity.
14भ्रष्ट झालेली स्त्री, वेश्या किंवा टाकलेली स्त्री अथवा विधवा स्त्री ह्यापैकी कोणाही स्त्रीला त्याने बायको करुन घेऊ नये; तर त्याने आपल्या लोकांतील एखाद्या कुमारिकेशीच लग्न करावे.
14A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry: but a virgin of his own people shall he take as a wife.
15अशा प्रकारे त्याने आपल्या लोकांत आपली संतती भ्रष्ट होऊ देऊ नये;कारण मी जो परमेश्वर त्या मी त्याला पवित्र सेवेसाठी पवित्र केले आहे.”
15He shall not profane his seed among his people: for I am Yahweh who sanctifies him.'"
16परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,
16Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
17“अहरोनाला असे सांग की पुढील पिढ्यामध्ये, तुझ्या वंशात जर कोणाला काही व्यंग-शारीरिक दोष-निघाले तर त्याने आपल्या देवाकरिता अन्न अर्पिण्यासाठी वेदीजवळ जाऊ नये.
17"Say to Aaron, 'None of your seed throughout their generations who has a blemish, may approach to offer the bread of his God.
18शारीरिक व्यंग असलेल्या कोणत्याही माणसाने मला अर्पण आणू नये; याजक ह्या नात्याने माझी सेवा करण्यास पात्र नसलेली माणसे अशी:आंधळा, लंगडा, चेहऱ्यावर विद्रूप वण असलेला, हातपाय प्रमाणाबाहेर लांब असलेला,
18For whatever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
19मोडक्या पायाचा, थोटा,
19or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,
20कुबडा, ठेंगू, डोळयात दोष असलेला, पुरळ किंवा त्वचेचे इतर वाईट रोग झालेला अथवा भग्नांड असलेला;
20or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles;
21अहरोन याजकाच्या वंशापैकी कोणास असे व्यंग असेल तर त्याने परमेश्वराला अर्पण किंवा अन्न अर्पावयास वेदीजवळ जाऊं नये;
21no man of the seed of Aaron the priest, who has a blemish, shall come near to offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Since has a blemish, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
22तो याजकाच्या कुटुंबापैकी असल्यामुळे त्याने पवित्र अन्न तसेच परमपवित्र अन्न खावे;
22He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
23परंतु त्याला व्यंग असल्यामुळे त्याने अंतरपटाच्या आत आणि वेदीजवळ जाऊ नये व माझी परम पवित्र स्ताने भ्रष्ट करु नये; कारण त्यांना पवित्र करणारा मी परमेश्वर आहे!”
23He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a blemish; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.'"
24तेव्हा मोशेने अहरोन, त्याचे मुलगे व सगळे इस्राएल लोक ह्यांना हे सर्व सांगितले.
24So Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
