अहरोन आणि मोशे हे अम्रामचे मुलगे: अहरोन आणि त्याच्या वंशजाची खास कामाकरता निवड केली गेली होती. परमेश्वराच्या उपासनेच्या पवित्र कामाच्या तयारीसाठी त्यांना कायमचे वेगळे काढले गेले होते. परमेश्वरापुढे धूप जाळणे, परमेश्वराचे याजक म्हणून सेवा करणे, परमेश्वराच्या वतीने लोकांना आशीर्वाद देणे अशी त्यांची कामे होती.

The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, forever, to burn incense before Yahweh, to minister to him, and to bless in his name, forever.
