1ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಯಾದ ಮಗನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಭಾರವಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ.
1The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; But a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
2ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿಯು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
2Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
3ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಹಸಿವೆಗೊಳಿಸನು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ.
3Yahweh will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, But he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
4ಬಿಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡುವವನು ದರಿದ್ರನಾಗು ವನು; ಆದರೆ ಚುರುಕಾದ ಕೈ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
4He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, But the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
5ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಸುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ವಂತನಾದ ಮಗನು ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡುವವನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವ ಮಗನು.
5He who gathers in summer is a wise son, But he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
6ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಗಳು ಇವೆ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.
6Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
7ನೀತಿ ವಂತರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಧನ್ಯಕರವಾಗಿದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹೆಸರು ಕೊಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
7The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.
8ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೃದಯದವರು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವರು. ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಬೀಳುವನು.
8The wise in heart accept commandments, But a chattering fool will fall.
9ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವವನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡು ತ್ತಿರುವವನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವನು.
9He who walks blamelessly walks surely, But he who perverts his ways will be found out.
10ಕಣ್ಣು ಮಿಟಕಿ ಸುವವನು ದುಃಖವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಬೀಳುವನು.
10One winking with the eye causes sorrow, But a chattering fool will fall.
11ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಾಯಿ ಯು ಜೀವಕರವಾದ ಬಾವಿ; ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.
11The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
12ದ್ವೇಷವು ಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚು ತ್ತದೆ.
12Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all wrongs.
13ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಿಕ್ಕು ತ್ತದೆ; ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತವೇ ಸರಿ.
13Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, But a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
14ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಗಳು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಬಾಯಿ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ.
14Wise men lay up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.
15ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಅವನ ಬಲವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣ; ಬಡವರ ನಾಶನವು ಅವರ ಬಡತನವೇ.
15The rich man's wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವು ಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಫಲವು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಇವೆ.
16The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.
17ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಜೀವನದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವವನು ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
17He is in the way of life who heeds correction, But he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.
18ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹಗೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡ ವನೂ ಚಾಡಿಹೇಳುವವನೂ ಮೂರ್ಖನು.
18He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
19ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊರತೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನು.
19In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, But he who restrains his lips does wisely.
20ನೀತಿ ವಂತರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಂತಿದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹೃದಯವು ಅಲ್ಪವಾದದ್ದು.
20The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
21ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಅವಿವೇಕಿಗಳು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
21The lips of the righteous feed many, But the foolish die for lack of understanding.
22ಕರ್ತನ ಆರ್ಶೀ ವಾದವು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವದು. ಅದ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನು ಯಾವ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ.
22Yahweh's blessing brings wealth, And he adds no trouble to it.
23ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವದು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾ ಸ್ಪದವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿದೆ.
23It is a fool's pleasure to do wickedness, But wisdom is a man of understanding's pleasure.
24ದುಷ್ಟನ ಭಯವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವದು; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಇಷ್ಟವು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವದು.
24What the wicked fear, will overtake them, But the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25ಹೇಗೆ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಬೀಸುವದೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುವರು. ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
25When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; But the righteous stand firm forever.
26ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಳಿಯೂ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸು ವವರಿಗೆ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೂ ಇರುವನು.
26As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, So is the sluggard to those who send him.
27ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ವರುಷ ಗಳು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು.
27The fear of Yahweh prolongs days, But the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28ನೀತಿವಂತರ ನಿರೀ ಕ್ಷೆಯು ಆನಂದಕರವಾಗಿರುವದು; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು.
28The prospect of the righteous is joy, But the hope of the wicked will perish.
29ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಬಲವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮಾಡುವ ವರಿಗೆ ಅದು ನಾಶನವಾಗಿರುವದು.
29The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
30ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
30The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not dwell in the land.
31ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಫಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಮೂರ್ಖನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದು.ಯಾವದು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದೋ ಅದು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯು ವದು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡುವುತ್ತದೆ.
31The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, But the perverse tongue will be cut off.
32ಯಾವದು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದೋ ಅದು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯು ವದು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡುವುತ್ತದೆ.
32The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
