ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಷ್ಬೀಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಯನು ಅಹಾಬನಿಗೆ--ಯಾವಾತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತೇನೋ ಆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ವಲ್ಲದೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಜೂ ಮಳೆಯೂ ಬೀಳು ವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
World English Bible
Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the foreigners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
