1હે યહોવા, મારી રક્ષા કરો, કારણ કે હું તમને આધીન છુ.
1A Poem by David. Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge.
2મે યહોવાને કહ્યુ છે, “તમે મારા માલિક છો. મારી પાસે જે બધું સારું છે તે ફકત તમારી પાસેથી જ આવ્યું છે.
2My soul, you have said to Yahweh, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing."
3પૃથ્વી પર યહોવાથી ડરનારા સંતો ઉત્તમ છે, એવાં સ્રી પુરુષના સંગમાંજ મને આનંદ મળે છે.
3As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
4જેઓ યહોવાને બદલે બીજા દેવોની પૂજા કરવા દોડે છે તે સર્વ દુ:ખના દરિયામાં ડૂબી જશે. હું તેઓની મૂર્તિ પર ચડાવાતા લોહીના પેયાર્પણમાં જોડાઇશ નહિ. હું તેમના દેવોના નામ કદી પણ ઉચ્ચારીશ નહિ.
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take their names on my lips.
5યહોવા, તમે મારા વારસાનો તથા મારા પ્યાલાનો ભાગ છો. હે યહોવા, તમે મને સહાય કરો! તમે મને મારો ભાગ આપો !
5Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure.
6આનંદદાયક સ્થાનમાં મારા સુશોભિત વારસાનો ભાગ મને મળ્યો છે.
6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance.
7મને બોધ આપવા માટે હું યહોવાની પ્રશંસા કરું છું. રોજ રાત્રે તે મને જ્ઞાન આપે છે અને મારે શું કરવું તે મને જણાવે છે.
7I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
8મેં યહોવાને સદા મારી સામે રાખ્યા છે તેથી મને કદી પડવાનો કે ઠોકર ખાવાનો ડર નથી. હું તેમના જમણા હાથ પાસે જ છું, ત્યાંથી મને કોઇ ખસેડી શકે તેમ નથી.
8I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9તેથી મારું હૃદય ભરપૂર આનંદમાં છે. અને મારો આત્મા પણ ખુશ છે; તેથી મારું શરીર સુરક્ષિત રહેશે.
9Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety.
10કારણ, તમે મારો આત્મા, શેઓલને સોંપશો નહિ. તમે તમારા ભકતોને કબરમાં જવા દેશો નહિ.
10For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, Neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.
11તમે પોતેજ મને જણાવો છો, જીવનમાં ક્યા માગેર્ મારે જવું. તમારી હાજરીથી સંપૂર્ણ આનંદ છે. તમારી જમણી બાજુએ અનંતકાલીન અને અસીમ સુખો છે.
11You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
