પણ એફ્રાઈમીઓ જે ગેઝેરમાં રહેતા અને કનાનીઓને તે ક્ષેત્રમાંથી તેઓએ કદીય હાંકી કાઢયા નહિ, તેથી તેઓ આજ સુધી એફ્રાઈમના લોકો વચ્ચે રહેતા આવ્યા છે; પણ તેમને ચાકરો તરીકે કામ કરવું પડે છે.

They didn't drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and are become servants to do forced labor.
