1યૂસફના વંશજોના પ્રદેશની સરહદ યરીખોથી માંડીને યર્દનથી શરૂ થઈ, યરીખોના ઝરણાની પૂર્વ તરફ રણમાં થઈને બેથેલના પર્વતીય પ્રદેશ સુધી જતી હતી.

1The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Bethel;

2અને તેની સરહદ બેથેલથી, અટારોથમાં આર્કીઓની સરહદ સુધીની હતી;

2and it went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

3અને પશ્ચિમ તરફ તે યાફલેટીઓની સીમાંથી છેક નીચલા બેથ-હોરોન અને ગેઝેર સુધી અને તે ભૂમધ્ય સમુદ્ર તરફ ચાલી.

3and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, even to Gezer; and the goings out of it were at the sea.

4મનાશ્શા અને એફ્રાઈમના લોકોને મનાશ્શા અને એફ્રાઈમ યૂસફના પુત્રો હતાં આ ભૂમિ મળી હતી.

4The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

5એફ્રાઈમનાં કુટુંબીજનોને મળેલી ભૂમિ આ હતી; તેમની પૂર્વ દિશાની સરહદ આટારોથ-આદારથી ઉપરના બેથ-હોરોન સુધી હતી.

5The border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper;

6ત્યાંથી તે સમુદ્ર સુધી જતી રહી. ઉત્તરે મિખ્મથાથ હતું. પૂર્વમાં એ સરહદ તાઅનાથશીલોહ તરફ વળી અને ત્યાંથી યાનોઆહના નજીકના વિસ્તાર તરફ વળતી હતી.

6and the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;

7પછી યાનોઆહ નીચે ઊતરીને આટારોથ અને નાઅરાહ જતી હતી. ત્યાંથી યરીખો જઈ યર્દન આગળ પૂરી થતી હતી.

7and it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

8સરહદ કાનાહ નદીથી પશ્ચિમ તપ્પુઆહ ગઈ. અને સમુદ્ર પર પુરી થઈ. આ બધી ભૂમિ છે જે એફ્રાઈમ લોકોને આપવામાં આવી હતી. તે કુળસમૂહમાં દરેક કુટુંબને આ ભૂમિનો ભાગ મળ્યો.

8From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out of it were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

9એફ્રાઈમના ઘણા સરહદી નગરો મનાશ્શાની સરહદમાં હતાં, પણ એફ્રાઈમના લોકોને આ નગરો અને તેમની આજુબાજુના ખેતરો મળ્યા હતાં.

9together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

10પણ એફ્રાઈમીઓ જે ગેઝેરમાં રહેતા અને કનાનીઓને તે ક્ષેત્રમાંથી તેઓએ કદીય હાંકી કાઢયા નહિ, તેથી તેઓ આજ સુધી એફ્રાઈમના લોકો વચ્ચે રહેતા આવ્યા છે; પણ તેમને ચાકરો તરીકે કામ કરવું પડે છે.

10They didn't drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and are become servants to do forced labor.
