જો હું ખેતરોમાં જાઉં છું, તો યુદ્ધમાં તરવારથી માર્યા ગયેલાઓનાં મૃતદેહો ત્યાં પડ્યા છે; જો હું શહેરમાં જાઉં છું, તો ત્યાં લોકોને દુકાળથી પીડાતાં જોઉં છું. પ્રબોધકો અને યાજકો સુદ્ધાં આમ તેમ ભટક્યા કરે છે. શું કરવું તે તેમને સૂઝતું નથી!”‘

If I go forth into the field, then, behold, the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then, behold, those who are sick with famine! for both the prophet and the priest go about in the land, and have no knowledge.
