આથી દાઉદે શાઉલના માંથા પાસે રહેલો ભાલો અને પાણીનો કૂંજો લીધો અને ચાલ્યો ગયો. પણ કોઇએ દાઉદ અને અબીશાયને શાઉલના માંથા પાસે રહેલો ભાલો અને કૂંજો લઇ જતા જોયા નહિ. કોઇએ કઇજ જોયું નહિ. છાવણી માં બધાં ઊંઘતા હતા અને યહોવાએ તેમને બધાને ગાઢ નિદ્રામાં નાખ્યા હતા.
World English Bible
So David took the spear and the jar of water from Saul's head; and they got them away: and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither did any awake; for they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from Yahweh was fallen on them.
