তখন যে সকল পুরুষ জ্ঞাত ছিল যে, তাহাদের স্ত্রীরা অন্য দেবগণের উদ্দেশে ধূপ জ্বালাইয়াছে, তাহারা এবং নিকটে দণ্ডায়মান সমস্ত স্ত্রীলোক, এক মহাসমাজ, অর্থাৎ মিসরের পথ্রোষ প্রদেশে বাসকারী সমস্ত লোক যিরমিয়কে উত্তর দিয়া কহিল,
