1অতএব এমন বৃহৎ সাক্ষিমেঘে বেষ্টিত হওয়াতে আইস, আমরাও সমস্ত বোঝা ও সহজ বাধাজনক পাপ ফেলিয়া দিয়া ধৈর্য্যপূর্ব্বক আমাদের সম্মুখস্থ ধাবনক্ষেত্রে দৌড়ি;
1Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2বিশ্বাসের আদিকর্ত্তা ও সিদ্ধিকর্ত্তা যীশুর প্রতি দৃষ্টি রাখি; তিনিই আপনার সম্মুখস্থ আনন্দের নিমিত্ত ক্রুশ সহ্য করিলেন, অপমান তুচ্ছ করিলেন, এবং ঈশ্বরের সিংহাসনের দক্ষিণে উপবিষ্ট হইয়াছেন।
2looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3তাঁহাকেই আলোচনা কর, যিনি আপনার বিরুদ্ধে পাপিগণের এমন প্রতিবাদ সহ্য করিয়াছিলেন, যেন প্রাণের ক্লান্তিতে অবসন্ন না হও।
3For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don't grow weary, fainting in your souls.
4তোমরা পাপের সহিত যুদ্ধ করিতে করিতে এখনও রক্তব্যয় পর্য্যন্ত প্রতিরোধ কর নাই;
4You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin;
5আর তোমরা সেই আশ্বাসবাক্য ভুলিয়া গিয়াছ, যাহা পুত্র বলিয়া তোমাদের সহিত কথাবার্ত্তা কহিতেছে, “হে আমার পুত্র, প্রভুর শাসন তুচ্ছ করিও না, তাঁহার দ্বারা অনুযুক্ত হইলে ক্লান্ত হইও না।
5and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, "My son, don't take lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved by him;
6কেননা প্রভু যাহাকে প্রেম করেন, তাহাকেই শাসন করেন, যে কোন পুত্রকে গ্রহণ করেন, তাহাকেই প্রহার করেন।”
6For whom the Lord loves, he chastens, And scourges every son whom he receives."
7শাসনের জন্যই তোমরা সহ্য করিতেছ; যেমন পুত্রদের প্রতি, তেমনি ঈশ্বর তোমাদের প্রতি ব্যবহার করিতেছেন; কেননা পিতা যাহাকে শাসন না করেন, এমন পুত্র কোথায়?
7It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn't discipline?
8কিন্তু তোমাদের শাসন যদি না হয়—সকলেই ত তাহার ভাগী—তবে সুতরাং তোমরা জারজ, পুত্র নও।
8But if you are without discipline, whereof all have been made partakers, then are you illegitimate, and not children.
9আবার আমাদের মাংসের পিতারা আমাদের শাসনকারী ছিলেন, এবং আমরা তাঁহাদিগকে সমাদর করিতাম; তবে যিনি আত্মা সকলের পিতা, আমরা কি অনেকগুণ অধিক পরিমাণে তাঁহার বশীভূত হইয়া জীবন ধারণ করিব না?
9Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
10উহাঁরা ত অল্পদিনের নিমিত্ত, উহাঁদের যেমন বিহিত বোধ হইত, তেমনই শাসন করিতেন, কিন্তু ইনি হিতের নিমিত্তই করিতেছেন, যেন আমরা তাঁহার পবিত্রতার ভাগী হই।
10For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.
11কোন শাসনই আপাততঃ আনন্দের বিষয় বোধ হয় না, কিন্তু দুঃখের বিষয় বোধ হয়; তথাপি তদ্দ্বারা যাহাদের অভ্যাস জন্মিয়াছে, তাহা পরে তাহাদিগকে ধার্ম্মিকতার শান্তিযুক্ত ফল প্রদান করে।
11All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised thereby.
12অতএব তোমরা শিথিল হস্ত ও অবশ হাঁটু সবল কর;
12Therefore, lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees,
13এবং আপন আপন চরণের জন্য সরল পথ প্রস্তুত কর, যেন যাহা খঞ্জ তাহা স্থানচ্যুত না হয়, বরং সুস্থ হয়।
13and make straight paths for your feet, so that which is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
14সকলের সহিত শান্তির অনুধাবন কর, এবং যাহা ব্যতিরেকে কেহই প্রভুর দর্শন পাইবে না, সেই পবিত্রতার অনুধাবন কর; সাবধান হইয়া দেখ, পাছে কেহ ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহ হইতে বঞ্চিত হয়;
14Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord,
15পাছে তিক্ততার কোন মূল অঙ্কুরিত হইয়া তোমাদিগকে উৎপীড়িত করে, এবং ইহাতে অধিকাংশ লোক দূষিত হয়;
15looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled;
16পাছে কেহ ব্যভিচারী বা ধর্ম্মবিরূপক হয়, যেমন এষৌ, সে ত এক বারের খাদ্যের নিমিত্ত আপন জ্যেষ্ঠাধিকার বিক্রয় করিয়াছিল।
16lest there be any sexually immoral person, or profane person, as Esau, who sold his birthright for one meal.
17তোমরা ত জান, তৎপরে যখন সে আশীর্ব্বাদের অধিকারী হইতে বাঞ্ছা করিল, তখন সজল নয়নে সযত্নে তাহার চেষ্টা করিলেও অগ্রাহ্য হইল, কারণ সে মনপরিবর্ত্তনের স্থান পাইল না।
17For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for a change of mind though he sought it diligently with tears.
18কারণ তোমরা সেই স্পৃশ্য ও অগ্নিতে প্রজ্বলিত পর্ব্বত, কৃষ্ণবর্ণ মেঘ, অন্ধকার, ঝড়, তূরীর ধ্বনি ও বাক্যের শব্দ এই সকলের নিকট উপস্থিত হও নাই।
18For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, tempest,
19সেই শব্দ যাহারা শুনিয়াছিল, তাহারা প্রার্থনা করিয়াছিল, যেন তাহাদের কাছে আর কথা বলা না হয়;
19the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them,
20কারণ এই আজ্ঞা তাহারা সহ্য করিতে পারিল না, “যদি কোন পশু পর্ব্বত স্পর্শ করে, তবে সেও প্রস্তারাঘাতে হত হইবে”;
20for they could not stand that which was commanded, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned;"
21এবং সেই দর্শন এমন ভয়ঙ্কর ছিল যে, মোশি কহিলেন, “আমি নিতান্তই ভীত ও কম্পিত হইতেছি”।
21and so fearful was the appearance, that Moses said, "I am terrified and trembling."
22কিন্তু তোমরা এই সকলের নিকটে উপস্থিত হইয়াছ, যথা, সিয়োন পর্ব্বত, জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের পুরী স্বর্গীয় যিরূশালেম, অযুত অযুত দূত,
22But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,
23স্বর্গে লিখিত প্রথমজাতদের সাধারণ সভা ও মণ্ডলী, সকলের বিচারকর্ত্তা ঈশ্বর, সিদ্ধিপ্রাপ্ত ধার্ম্মিকগণের আত্মা,
23to the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24নূতন নিয়মের মধ্যস্থ যীশু, এবং প্রোক্ষণের রক্ত, যাহা হেবল হইতেও উত্তম কথা বলে।
24to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.
25দেখিও, যিনি কথা বলেন, তাঁহার কথা শুনিতে অসম্মত হইও না; কারণ যিনি পৃথিবীতে আদেশবাণী বলিয়াছিলেন, তাঁহার কথা শুনিতে অসম্মত হওয়াতে যখন ঐ লোকেরা রক্ষা পাইল না, তখন যিনি স্বর্গ হইতে বলিতেছেন, তাঁহা হইতে বিমুখ হইলে আমরা যে রক্ষা পাইব না, ইহা কত অধিক গুণে নিশ্চিত!
25See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,
26তৎকালে তাঁহার রব পৃথিবীকে কম্পান্বিত করিয়াছিল; কিন্তু এখন তিনি এই প্রতিজ্ঞা করিয়াছেন, “আমি আর একবার কেবল পৃথিবীকে নয়, আকাশমণ্ডলকেও কম্পান্বিত করিব।”
26whose voice shook the earth, then, but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens."
27এখানে “আর একবার,” এই শব্দে নির্দ্দিষ্ট হইতেছে, সেই কম্পমান সকল বিষয় নির্ম্মিত বলিয়া দূরীকৃত হইবে, যেন অকম্পমান বিষয় সকল স্থায়ী হয়।
27This phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.
28অতএব অকম্পনীয় রাজ্য পাইবার অধিকারী হওয়াতে, আইস, আমরা সেই অনুগ্রহ অবলম্বন করি, যদ্দ্বারা ভক্তি ও ভয় সহকারে ঈশ্বরের প্রীতিজনক আরাধনা করিতে পারি।
28Therefore, receiving a kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,
29কেননা আমাদের ঈশ্বর গ্রাসকারী অগ্নিস্বরূপ।
29for our God is a consuming fire.
