1মাদীয় বংশজাত অহশ্বেরশের পুত্র যে দারিয়াবস কল্‌দীয় রাজ্যের রাজপদে নিযুক্ত হইয়াছিলেন,
1In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans,
2তাঁহার প্রথম বৎসরে, তাঁহার রাজত্বের প্রথম বৎসরে, আমি দানিয়েল গ্রন্থাবলি দ্বারা বৎসরের সংখ্যা বুঝিলাম, অর্থাৎ যিরূশালেমের উৎসন্ন-দশা সমাপনে সত্তর বৎসর লাগিবে, সদাপ্রভুর এই যে বাক্য যিরমিয় ভাববাদীর নিকটে উপস্থিত হইয়াছিল, তাহা বুঝিলাম।
2in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years whereof the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.
3পরে আমি উপবাস, চট পরিধান ও ভস্ম লেপন করিয়া প্রার্থনার ও বিনতির চেষ্টায় প্রভু ঈশ্বরের প্রতি দৃষ্টি করিলাম।
3I set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and petitions, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
4আর আমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করিলাম, ও পাপ স্বীকার করিয়া কহিলাম হে প্রভু, তুমিই সেই মহান্‌ ও ভয়াবহ ঈশ্বর, যিনি তাহাদের সহিত নিয়ম ও দয়া রক্ষা করেন, যাহারা তাঁহাকে প্রেম করে ও তাঁহার আজ্ঞা পালন করে।
4I prayed to Yahweh my God, and made confession, and said, Oh, Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,
5আমরা পাপ ও অপরাধ করিয়াছি, দুষ্টামি করিয়াছি ও বিদ্রোহী হইয়াছি, তোমার বিধি ও শাসনপথ ত্যাগ করিয়াছি;
5we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances;
6আর তোমার যে দাস ভাববাদিগণ আমাদের রাজগণকে, অধ্যক্ষগণকে, পিতৃপুরুষগণকে ও জনপদস্থ প্রজা সকলকে তোমার নামে কথা কহিতেন, তাঁহাদের কথায়ও আমরা কর্ণপাত করি নাই।
6neither have we listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7হে প্রভু, ধর্ম্মশীলতা তোমার, কিন্তু আমরা মুখের বিবর্ণতার পাত্র, যেমন অদ্য দেখা যাইতেছে; যিহূদার লোক ও যিরূশালেম-নিবাসিগণ এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল এই অবস্থায় রহিয়াছে,— যাহারা নিকটবর্ত্তী, ও যাহারা দূরস্থ, যাহারা সেই সকল দেশে রহিয়াছে, যেখানে তুমি তাহাদিগকে তাড়াইয়া দিয়াছ, তোমার বিরুদ্ধে কৃত সত্যলঙ্ঘন প্রযুক্তই তাড়াইয়া দিয়াছ।
7Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us confusion of face, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near, and who are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.
8হে প্রভু, আমরা, আমাদের রাজগণ, অধ্যক্ষগণ ও পিতৃপুরুষগণ সকলে মুখের বিবর্ণতার পাত্র, কারণ আমরা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করিয়াছি।
8Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.
9করুণা ও ক্ষমা আমাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বরের; কারণ আমরা তাঁহার বিদ্রোহী হইয়াছি;
9To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness; for we have rebelled against him;
10এবং আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে অবধান করি নাই, তিনি আপন দাস ভাববাদিগণ দ্বারা আমাদের সম্মুখে যে সমস্ত ব্যবস্থা রাখিয়াছেন, আমরা সে পথে চলি নাই।
10neither have we obeyed the voice of Yahweh our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11হাঁ, সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল তোমার ব্যবস্থা লঙ্ঘন করিয়াছে, তোমার বাক্যে অবধান করিবার অনিচ্ছায় বিপথগামী হইয়াছে, সেই জন্য ঈশ্বরের দাস মোশির ব্যবস্থায় লিখিত অভিশাপ ও শপথ আমাদের উপরে বর্ষিত হইয়াছে, কারণ আমরা ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করিয়াছি।
11Yes, all Israel have transgressed your law, even turning aside, that they should not obey your voice: therefore has the curse been poured out on us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God; for we have sinned against him.
12আর আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে, ও যে বিচারকর্ত্তৃগণ আমাদের বিচার করিতেন, তাঁহাদের বিরুদ্ধে তিনি যে যে বাক্য বলিয়াছেন, সে সকল সফল করিয়া আমাদের উপরে ভারী অমঙ্গল বর্ত্তাইয়াছেন; কেননা যিরূশালেমের প্রতি যেরূপ করা গিয়াছে, আকাশমণ্ডলের নীচে আর কোথাও তদ্রূপ করা যায় নাই।
12He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil; for under the whole sky has not been done as has been done on Jerusalem.
13মোশির ব্যবস্থায় যেরূপ লিখিত আছে, তদনুসারে এই সমস্ত অমঙ্গল আমাদের উপরে আসিয়াছে, তথাপি আমরা আপন আপন অপরাধ হইতে ফিরিবার জন্য, ও তোমার সত্য সম্বন্ধে বুদ্ধি লাভ করিবার জন্য, আপনাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে বিনতি করি নাই।
13As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come on us: yet have we not entreated the favor of Yahweh our God, that we should turn from our iniquities, and have discernment in your truth.
14এই জন্য সদাপ্রভু অমঙ্গলার্থে জাগ্রৎ হইয়া আমাদের উপরে তাহা উপস্থিত করিয়াছেন, কেননা আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু আপনার কৃত সকল কার্য্যে ধর্ম্মশীল, কিন্তু আমরা তাঁহার রবে কর্ণপাত করি নাই।
14Therefore has Yahweh watched over the evil, and brought it on us; for Yahweh our God is righteous in all his works which he does, and we have not obeyed his voice.
15এখন, হে প্রভু, আমাদের ঈশ্বর, তুমি বলবান হস্ত দ্বারা মিসর দেশ হইতে আপন প্রজাদিগকে আনিয়া কীর্ত্তিলাভ করিয়াছ, যেমন অদ্যাপি দেখা যাইতেছে; আমরা পাপ করিয়াছি, দুষ্টামি করিয়াছি।
15Now, Lord our God, who has brought your people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten you renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16হে প্রভু, বিনয় করি, তোমার সমস্ত ধর্ম্মশীলতা অনুসারে তোমার নগর যিরূশালেম —তোমার পবিত্র পর্ব্বত— হইতে তোমার ক্রোধ ও কোপ নিবৃত্ত হউক; কেননা আমাদের পাপপ্রযুক্ত ও আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের অপরাধ প্রযুক্ত যিরূশালেম ও তোমার প্রজাসমূহ চারিদিকের সমস্ত লোকের টিটকারির পাত্র হইয়াছে।
16Lord, according to all your righteousness, let your anger and please let your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people are become a reproach to all who are round about us.
17অতএব, হে আমাদের ঈশ্বর, এখন তোমার এই দাসের প্রার্থনা ও বিনতি শ্রবণ কর, এবং তোমার ধ্বংসিত ধর্ম্মধামের প্রতি প্রভুর অনুরোধে তোমার মুখ উজ্জ্বল কর।
17Now therefore, our God, listen to the prayer of your servant, and to his petitions, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18হে আমার ঈশ্বর, কর্ণপাত কর, শুন, চক্ষু উন্মীলন কর, এবং আমাদের ধ্বংসিত স্থান সকলের প্রতি, ও যাহার উপরে তোমার নাম কীর্ত্তিত হইয়াছে, সেই নগরের প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত কর; কারণ আমরা নিজ ধার্ম্মিকতা প্রযুক্ত নয়, কিন্তু তোমার মহাকরুণা প্রযুক্ত তোমার সম্মুখে আমাদের বিনতি উপস্থিত করিলাম।
18My God, turn your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies' sake.
19হে প্রভু, শুন; হে প্রভু, ক্ষমা কর; হে প্রভু, মনোযোগ কর ও কর্ম্ম কর, বিলম্ব করিও না; হে আমার ঈশ্বর, তোমার নিজের অনুরোধে কার্য্য কর, কেননা তোমার নগরের ও তোমার প্রজাগণের উপরে তোমার নাম কীর্ত্তিত হইয়াছে।
19Lord, hear; Lord, forgive; Lord, listen and do; don't defer, for your own sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.
20এইরূপে আমি নিবেদন ও প্রার্থনা করিতেছিলাম, এবং আমার পাপ ও আমার জাতি ইস্রায়েলের পাপ স্বীকার করিতেছিলাম, এবং আমার ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র পর্ব্বতের জন্য আমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সম্মুখে বিনতি উপস্থিত করিতেছিলাম;
20While I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Yahweh my God for the holy mountain of my God;
21আমার প্রার্থনার কথা শেষ হইতে না হইতে, আমি প্রথম দর্শনে যে ব্যক্তিকে দেখিয়াছিলাম, সেই গাব্রিয়েল বেগে উড়িয়া আসিয়া সন্ধ্যাকালীন নৈবেদ্যের সময়ে আমাকে স্পর্শ করিলেন।
21yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening offering.
22তিনি আমাকে বুঝাইয়া দিলেন, এবং আমার সহিত আলাপ করিয়া কহিলেন, হে দানিয়েল, আমি এক্ষণে তোমাকে বুদ্ধিকৌশল দিতে আসিয়াছি।
22He instructed me, and talked with me, and said, Daniel, I am now come forth to give you wisdom and understanding.
23তোমার বিনতির আরম্ভ সময়ে আজ্ঞা নির্গত হইয়াছিল, তাই আমি তোমাকে সংবাদ দিতে আসিলাম, কেননা তুমি অতিশয় প্রীতি-পাত্র; অতএব এই বিষয় বিবেচনা কর, ও এই দর্শন বুঝিয়া লও।
23At the beginning of your petitions the commandment went forth, and I am come to tell you; for you are greatly beloved: therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision.
24তোমার জাতির ও তোমার পবিত্র নগরের সম্বন্ধে সত্তর সপ্তাহ নিরূপিত হইয়াছে—অধর্ম্ম সমাপ্ত করিবার জন্য, পাপ শেষ করিবার জন্য, অপরাধের প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করিবার জন্য, অনন্তকালস্থায়ী ধার্ম্মিকতা আনয়ন করিবার জন্য, দর্শন ও ভাববাণী মুদ্রাঙ্কিত করিবার জন্য, এবং মহাপবিত্রকে অভিষেক করিবার জন্য।
24Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
25অতএব তুমি জ্ঞাত হও, বুঝিয়া লও, যিরূশালেমকে পুনঃস্থাপন ও নির্ম্মাণ করিবার আজ্ঞা বাহির হওয়া অবধি অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তি, নায়ক, পর্য্যন্ত সাত সপ্তাহ আর বাষট্টি সপ্তাহ হইবে, উহা চক ও পরিখাসহ পুনরায় নির্ম্মিত হইবে, সঙ্কটকালেই হইবে।
25Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Anointed One, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.
26সেই বাষট্টি সপ্তাহের পরে অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তি উচ্ছিন্ন হইবেন, এবং তাঁহার কিছুই থাকিবে না; আর আগামী নায়কের প্রজারা নগর ও ধর্ম্মধাম বিনষ্ট করিবে, এ প্লাবন দ্বারা তাহার শেষ হইবে, এবং শেষ পর্য্যন্ত যুদ্ধ হইবে; ধ্বংস, বিধ্বংস নিরূপিত।
26After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One shall be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end of it shall be with a flood, and even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined.
27এক সপ্তাহ পর্য্যন্ত তিনি অনেকের সহিত দৃঢ় নিয়ম করিলেন; সেই সপ্তাহের অর্দ্ধকালে তিনি যজ্ঞ ও নৈবেদ্য নিবৃত্ত করিবেন; পরে ঘৃণার্হ বস্তু সকলের পক্ষের উপরে ধ্বংসক আসিবে; এবং উচ্ছিন্নতা, নিরূপিত উচ্ছিন্নতা পর্য্যন্ত ধ্বংসকের উপরে [ক্রোধ] বর্ষিত হইবে।
27He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out on the desolate.
