সেই কোলাহল নিবৃত্ত হইলে পর পৌল শিষ্যগণকে ডাকিয়া পাঠাইলেন, এবং আশ্বাস দিলেন, ও মঙ্গলবাদপূর্ব্বক বিদায় গ্রহণ করিয়া মাকিদনিয়াতে যাইবার নিমিত্ত প্রস্থান করিলেন।

After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.

পরে সেই অঞ্চল দিয়া গমন করিতে করিতে অনেক কথা দ্বারা শিষ্যদিগকে আশ্বাস দিয়া গ্রীস দেশে উপস্থিত হইলেন।

When he had gone through those parts, and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.

সেই স্থানে তিন মাস যাপন করিয়া যখন তিনি জলপথে সুরিয়া দেশে যাইতে উদ্যত হইলেন, তখন যিহূদীরা তাঁহার বিপক্ষে ষড়যন্ত্র করাতে, তিনি মাকিদনিয়া দিয়া ফিরিয়া যাইতে স্থির করিলেন।

When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.

আর বিরয়া নগরীয় পুর্হের পুত্র সোপাত্র, থিষলনীকীয় আরিষ্টার্খ ও সিকুন্দ, দর্ব্বী নগরীয় গায়, তীমথিয়, এবং এশিয়ার তুখিক ও ত্রফিম, ইঁহারা তাঁহার সঙ্গে গেলেন।

These accompanied him as far as Asia: Sopater of Beroea; Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians; Gaius of Derbe; Timothy; and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.

ইঁহারা অগ্রসর হইয়া ত্রোয়াতে আমাদের অপেক্ষা করিতেছিলেন।

But these had gone ahead, and were waiting for us at Troas.

পরে তাড়ীশূন্য রুটীর পর্ব্বদিন গত হইলে আমরা ফিলিপী হইতে জলপথে প্রস্থান করিয়া পাঁচ দিনে ত্রোয়াতে তাঁহাদের নিকটে উপস্থিত হইলাম; সেখানে সাত দিন অবস্থিতি করিলাম।

We sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days.

আর সপ্তাহের প্রথম দিনে আমরা রুটী ভাঙ্গিবার জন্য একত্র হইলে পৌল পরদিন প্রস্থান করিতে উদ্যত ছিলেন বলিয়া শিষ্যদের কাছে কথা প্রসঙ্গ করিয়া মধ্যরাত্রি পর্য্যন্ত বক্তৃতা করিলেন।

On the first day of the week, when the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and continued his speech until midnight.

আমরা যে উপরিস্থ কুঠরীতে সভাস্থ হইয়াছিলাম, সেখানে অনেক প্রদীপ ছিল।

There were many lights in the upper chamber where we were gathered together.

আর উতুখ নামে এক জন যুবক বাতায়নে বসিয়াছিল, সে ঘোর নিদ্রায় মগ্ন হইয়া পড়িয়াছিল; এবং পৌল আরও অনেক ক্ষণ পর্য্যন্ত কথা প্রসঙ্গ করিলে সে নিদ্রায় মগ্ন হওয়াতে তেতালা হইতে নীচে পড়িয়া গেল, তাহাতে লোকেরা তাহাকে মরা তুলিয়া লইল।

A certain young man named Eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep. As Paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third story, and was taken up dead.

তখন পৌল নামিয়া গিয়া তাহার গায়ের উপরে পড়িলেন, ও তাহাকে আলিঙ্গন করিয়া কহিলেন, তোমরা কোলাহল করিও না; কেননা ইহার মধ্যে প্রাণ আছে।

Paul went down, and fell upon him, and embracing him said, "Don't be troubled, for his life is in him."

পরে তিনি উপরে গিয়া রুটী ভাঙ্গিয়া ভোজন করিয়া অনেক্ষ ক্ষণ, এমন কি, রাত্রি প্রভাত পর্য্যন্ত কথাবর্ত্তা কহিলেন, এইরূপে প্রস্থান করিলেন।

When he had gone up, and had broken bread, and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even until break of day, he departed.

আর তাহারা সেই বালককে জীবিত আনিয়া অসামান্য আশ্বাস প্রাপ্ত হইল।

They brought the boy in alive, and were greatly comforted.

আর আমরা অগ্রে গিয়া জাহাজে উঠিয়া, আঃসে যাত্রা করিলাম, সেখান হইতে পৌলকে তুলিয়া লইব মনস্থ করিলাম; কারণ তিনি স্থলপথে যাইবেন বলিয়া ইহা স্থির করিয়াছিলেন।

But we who went ahead to the ship set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there, for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land.

পরে তিনি আঃসে আমাদের সঙ্গ ধরিলে আমরা তাঁহাকে তুলিয়া লইয়া মিতুলীনীতে আসিলাম।

When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard, and came to Mitylene.

তথা হইতে জাহাজ খুলিয়া পরদিন খীয়ের সম্মুখে উপস্থিত হইলাম; দ্বিতীয় দিনে সামঃ দ্বীপে লাগাইলাম, পরদিন মিলীতে আসিলাম।

Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we touched at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium, and the day after we came to Miletus.

কারণ পৌল ইফিষ ফেলিয়া যাইতে স্থির করিয়াছিলেন, যাহাতে এশিয়াতে তাঁহার কালবিলম্ব না হয়; তিনি ত্বরা করিতেছিলেন, যেন সাধ্য হইলে পঞ্চাশত্তমীর দিন যিরূশালেমে উপস্থিত থাকিতে পারেন।

For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.

মিলীত হইতে তিনি ইফিষে লোক পাঠাইয়া মণ্ডলীর প্রাচীনবর্গকে ডাকাইয়া আনিলেন।

From Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to himself the elders of the assembly.

তাঁহারা তাঁহার নিকটে উপস্থিত হইলে তিনি তাঁহাদিগকে কহিলেন,—তোমরা জান, এশিয়া দেশে আসিয়া, আমি প্রথম দিন অবধি তোমাদের সঙ্গে কিরূপে সমস্ত কাল যাপন করিয়াছি,

When they had come to him, he said to them, "You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,

সম্পূর্ণ নম্র মনে ও অশ্রুপাতের সহিত এবং যিহূদীদের ষড়যন্ত্র হইতে উৎপন্ন নানা পরীক্ষার মধ্যে থাকিয়া প্রভুর দাস্যকর্ম্ম করিয়াছি;

serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;
20
কোন হিতকথা গোপন না করিয়া তোমাদিগকে সকলই জানাইতে, এবং সাধারণ্যে ও ঘরে ঘরে শিক্ষা দিতে, সঙ্কুচিত হই নাই;

how I didn't shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,
21
ঈশ্বরের প্রতি মনপরিবর্ত্তন এবং আমাদের প্রভু যীশুর প্রতি বিশ্বাস বিষয়ে যিহূদী ও গ্রীকদের নিকটে সাক্ষ্য দিয়া আসিতেছি।

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

আর এখন দেখ, আমি আত্মাতে বদ্ধ হইয়া যিরূশালেমে গমন করিতেছি; সে স্থানে আমার প্রতি কি কি ঘটিবে, তাহা জানি না।

Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;
23
এই মাত্র জানি, পবিত্র আত্মা প্রতি নগরে আমার কাছে এই বলিয়া সাক্ষ্য দিতেছেন যে, বন্ধন ও ক্লেশ আমার অপেক্ষা করিতেছে।

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.
24
কিন্তু আমি নিজ প্রাণকেও কিছুর মধ্যে গণ্য করি না, আমার পক্ষে মহামূল্য গণ্য করি না, যেন নিরূপিত পথের শেষ পর্য্যন্ত দৌড়িতে পারি, এবং ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহের সুসমাচারের পক্ষে সাক্ষ্য দিবার যে পরিচর্যাপদ প্রভু যীশু হইতে পাইয়াছি, তাহা সমাপ্ত করিতে পারি।

But these things don't count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

আর এখন দেখ, আমি জানি যে, যাহাদের মধ্যে আমি সেই রাজ্য প্রচার করিয়া বেড়াইয়াছি, সেই তোমরা সকলে আমার মুখ আর দেখিতে পাইবে না;

Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching the Kingdom of God, will see my face no more.
26
এই কারণ অদ্য তোমাদিগকে এই সাক্ষ্য দিতেছি যে, সকলের রক্তের দায় হইতে আমি শুচি;

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am clean from the blood of all men,
27
কারণ আমি তোমাদিগকে ঈশ্বরের সমস্ত মন্ত্রণা জ্ঞাত করিতে সঙ্কুচিত হই নাই।
27
for I didn't shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
28
তোমরা আপনাদের বিষয়ে সাবধান, এবং পবিত্র আত্মা তোমাদিগকে অধ্যক্ষ করিয়া যাহার মধ্যে নিযুক্ত করিয়াছেন, সেই সমস্ত পালের বিষয়ে সাবধান হও, ঈশ্বরের সেই মণ্ডলীকে পালন কর, যাহাকে তিনি নিজ রক্ত দ্বারা ক্রয় করিয়াছেন।

Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.

আমি জানি, আমি গেলে পর দুরন্ত কেন্দুয়ারা তোমাদের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করিবে, পালের প্রতি মমতা করিবে না;

For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

এবং তোমাদের মধ্য হইতেও কোন কোন লোক উঠিয়া শিষ্যদিগকে আপনাদের পশ্চাৎ টানিয়া লইবার জন্য বিপরীত কথা কহিবে।

Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
31
অতএব জাগিয়া থাক; স্মরণ কর, আমি তিন বৎসর কাল রাত দিন প্রত্যেকজনকে অশ্রুপাতের সহিত চেতনা দিতে ক্ষান্ত হই নাই।

Therefore watch , remembering that for a period of three years I didn't cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.

আর এখন প্রভুর নিকটে, ও তাঁহার অনুগ্রহের বাক্যের নিকটে তোমাদিগকে সমর্পণ করিলাম, তিনি তোমাদিগকে গাঁথিয়া তুলিতে ও পবিত্রীকৃত সকলের মধ্যে দায়াধিকার দিতে সমর্থ।

Now, brothers, I entrust you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33
আমি কাহারও রৌপ্যের কি স্বর্ণের কি বস্ত্রের প্রতি লোভ করি নাই।

I coveted no one's silver, or gold, or clothing.
34
তোমরা আপনারা জান, আমার নিজের এবং আমার সঙ্গীদের অভাব দূর করণার্থে এই দুই হস্ত কার্য্য করিয়াছে।

You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities, and to those who were with me.

সকল বিষয়ে আমি তোমাদিগকে দৃষ্টান্ত দেখাইয়াছি যে, এই প্রকারে পরিশ্রম করিয়া দুর্ব্বলদিগের সাহায্য করিতে হইবে, এবং প্রভু যীশুর বাক্য স্মরণ করা উচিত, কেননা তিনি আপনি বলিয়াছেন, গ্রহণ করা অপেক্ষা বরং দান করা ধন্য হইবার বিষয়।

In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

এই কথা কহিয়া তিনি হাঁটু পাতিয়া সকলের সহিত প্রার্থনা করিলেন।

When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

তাহাতে সকলে বিস্তর রোদন করিলেন, এবং পৌলের গলা ধরিয়া তাঁহাকে চুম্বন করিতে লাগিলেন;

They all wept a lot, and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him,

সর্ব্বাপেক্ষা তাঁহার উক্ত এই কথার জন্য অধিক দুঃখ করিলেন যে, তাঁহারা তাঁহার মুখ আর দেখিতে পাইবেন না। পরে জাহাজ পর্য্যন্ত তাঁহাকে রাখিয়া আসিতে গেলেন।

sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
