1தேவனே, என்னைக் காப்பாற்றும், உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.
1A Poem by David. Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge.
2என் நெஞ்சமே, நீ கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர், என் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிறீர், என் செல்வம் உமக்கு வேண்டியதாயிராமல்;
2My soul, you have said to Yahweh, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing."
3பூமியிலுள்ள பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும், நான் என் முழுப் பிரியத்தையும் வைத்திருக்கிற மகாத்துமாக்களுக்கும், அது வேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது என்று சொன்னாய்.
3As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
4அந்நியதேவனை நாடிப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களுக்கு வேதனைகள் பெருகும்; அவர்கள் செலுத்துகிற இரத்த பானபலிகளை நான் செலுத்தமாட்டேன், அவர்கள் நாமங்களை என் உதடுகளினால் உச்சரிக்கவுமாட்டேன்.
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take their names on my lips.
5கர்த்தர் என் சுதந்தரமும் என் பாத்திரத்தின் பங்குமானவர்; என் சுதந்தரத்தை தேவரீர் காப்பாற்றுகிறீர்.
5Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure.
6நேர்த்தியான இடங்களில் எனக்குப் பங்கு கிடைத்தது; ஆம், சிறப்பான சுதந்தரம் எனக்கு உண்டு.
6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance.
7எனக்கு ஆலோசனை தந்த கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன்; இராக்காலங்களிலும் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்கள் என்னை உணர்த்தும்.
7I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
8கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன்; அவர் என் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் இருக்கிறபடியால் நான் அசைக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
8I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9ஆகையால் என் இருதயம் பூரித்தது, என் மகிமை களிகூர்ந்தது; என் மாம்சமும் நம்பிக்கையோடே தங்கியிருக்கும்.
9Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety.
10என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாளத்தில் விடீர்; உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவானை அழிவைக் காணவொட்டீர்.
10For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, Neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.
11ஜீவமார்க்கத்தை எனக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துவீர்; உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் பரிபூரண ஆனந்தமும், உம்முடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் நித்திய பேரின்பமும் உண்டு.
11You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
