தமிழ் பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம்
அவர்கள் அரணான பட்டணங்களையும், செழுமையான பூமியையும் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, சகலவித உடைமைகள் நிறைந்த வீடுகளையும், வெட்டப்பட்ட துரவுகளையும், ஏராளமான திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களையும், ஒலிவத்தோப்புகளையும், கனிகொடுக்கும் விருட்சங்களையும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, புசித்துத் திருப்தியாகிக் கொழுத்து, உம்முடைய பெரிய தயையினால் செல்வமாய் வாழ்ந்தார்கள்.

They took fortified cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all good things, cisterns hewn out, vineyards, and olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance: so they ate, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.
