தமிழ் பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம்
ஆயியின் மனுஷர் பின்னிட்டுப் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, பட்டணத்தின் புகை ஆகாசத்தில் எழும்புகிறதைக் கண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அங்கும் இங்கும் ஓடிப்போகிறதற்கு அவர்களுக்கு இடம் இல்லாமற்போயிற்று; வனாந்தரத்துக்கு ஓடின ஜனங்கள் தங்களைத் தொடர்ந்தவர்கள் முகமாய்த் திரும்பினார்கள்.
World English Bible
When the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people who fled to the wilderness turned back on the pursuers.
