1அதற்குப்பின்பு, உம்முடைய தகப்பனாருக்கு வருத்தமாயிருக்கிறது என்று யோசேப்புக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது. அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் இரண்டு குமாரராகிய மனாசேயையும் எப்பிராயீமையும் தன்னோடேகூடக் கொண்டுபோனான்.
1It happened after these things, that someone said to Joseph, "Behold, your father is sick." He took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
2இதோ, உம்முடைய குமாரனாகிய யோசேப்பு உம்மிடத்தில் வந்திருக்கிறார் என்று யாக்கோபுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் தன்னைத்திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு, கட்டிலின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்தான்.
2Someone told Jacob, and said, "Behold, your son Joseph comes to you," and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.
3யாக்கோபு யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் கானான் தேசத்திலுள்ள லூஸ் என்னும் இடத்தில் எனக்குத் தரிசனமாகி, என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து:
3Jacob said to Joseph, "God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
4நான் உன்னைப் பலுகவும் பெருகவும் பண்ணி, உன்னைப் பல ஜனக்கூட்டமாக்கி, உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கு இந்தத் தேசத்தை நித்திய சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று என்னோடே சொன்னார்.
4and said to me, 'Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.'
5நான் உன்னிடத்தில் எகிப்துக்கு வருமுன்னே உனக்கு எகிப்துதேசத்தில் பிறந்த உன் இரண்டு குமாரரும் என்னுடைய குமாரர்; ரூபன் சிமியோன் என்பவர்களைப்போல, எப்பிராயீமும் மனாசேயும் என்னுடையவர்கள்.
5Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh, even as Reuben and Simeon, will be mine.
6இவர்களுக்குப்பின், நீ பெறும் பிள்ளைகள் உன்னுடையவர்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரருடைய பேரால் அழைக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களுக்குரிய சுதந்தரத்தில் பங்குபெறுவார்கள்.
6Your issue, who you become the father of after them, will be yours. They will be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.
7நான் பதானை விட்டு வருகையில், கானான்தேசத்தில் எப்பிராத்தாவுக்குக் கொஞ்சம் தூரம் இருக்கும்போது, வழியிலே ராகேல் என்னண்டையில் மரணமடைந்தாள்; அவளை அங்கே பெத்லகேம் என்னும் எப்பிராத்தா ஊருக்குப் போகிற வழியிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணினேன் என்றான்.
7As for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when there was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and I buried her there in the way to Ephrath (the same is Bethlehem)."
8இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பின் குமாரரைப் பார்த்து: இவர்கள் யார் என்று கேட்டான்.
8Israel saw Joseph's sons, and said, "Who are these?"
9யோசேப்பு தன் தகப்பனை நோக்கி: இவர்கள் இவ்விடத்தில் தேவன் எனக்கு அருளின குமாரர் என்றான். அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்படி அவர்களை என் கிட்டக்கொண்டுவா என்றான்.
9Joseph said to his father, "They are my sons, whom God has given me here." He said, "Please bring them to me, and I will bless them."
10முதிர்வயதினால் இஸ்ரவேலின் கண்கள் மங்கலாயிருந்தபடியால், அவன் நன்றாய்ப் பார்க்கக்கூடாதிருந்தது. அவர்களை அவனண்டையிலே சேரப்பண்ணினான்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அவர்களை முத்தஞ்செய்து அணைத்துக்கொண்டான்.
10Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he couldn't see. He brought them near to him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.
11இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: உன் முகத்தைக் காண்பேன் என்று நான் நினைக்கவில்லை; ஆனாலும், இதோ, உன் சந்ததியையும் காணும்படி தேவன் எனக்கு அருள்செய்தார் என்றான்.
11Israel said to Joseph, "I didn't think I would see your face, and, behold, God has let me see your seed also."
12அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய முழங்கால்கள் நடுவே இருந்த பிள்ளைகளை யோசேப்பு பின்னிடப்பண்ணி, அவனுடைய முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகத் தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து வணங்கினான்.
12Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
13பின்பு, யோசேப்பு அவ்விருவரையும் கொண்டுவந்து, எப்பிராயீமைத் தன் வலது கையினாலே இஸ்ரவேலின் இடது கைக்கு நேராகவும், மனாசேயைத் தன் இடது கையினாலே இஸ்ரவேலின் வலது கைக்கு நேராகவும் விட்டான்.
13Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near to him.
14அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல், மனமறிய, தன் வலது கையை நீட்டி, இளையவனாகிய எப்பிராயீமுடைய தலையின்மேலும், மனாசே மூத்தவனாயிருந்தும், தன் இடது கையை மனாசேயுடைய தலையின்மேலும் வைத்தான்.
14Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it on Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh's head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.
15அவன் யோசேப்பை ஆசீர்வதித்து: என் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாமும் ஈசாக்கும் வழிபட்டு வணங்கிய தேவனும், நான் பிறந்த நாள்முதல் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் என்னை ஆதரித்துவந்த தேவனும்,
15He blessed Joseph, and said, "The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day,
16எல்லாத் தீமைக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கி என்னை மீட்ட தூதனுமானவர் இந்தப் பிள்ளைகளை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக, என் பேரும் என் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு என்பவர்களின் பேரும் இவர்களுக்கு இடப்படக்கடவது; பூமியில் இவர்கள் மிகுதியாய்ப் பெருகக்கடவர்கள் என்றான்.
16the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. Let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."
17தகப்பன் தன் வலதுகையை எப்பிராயீமுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைத்ததை யோசேப்பு கண்டு, அது தனக்குப் பிரியமில்லாதபடியால், எப்பிராயீமுடைய தலையின்மேல் இருந்த தன் தகப்பனுடைய கையை மனாசேயினுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைக்கும்படிக்கு எடுத்து:
17When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him. He held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head.
18என் தகப்பனே, அப்படியல்ல, இவன் மூத்தவன், இவனுடைய தலையின் மேல் உம்முடைய வலதுகையை வைக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.
18Joseph said to his father, "Not so, my father; for this is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head."
19அவன் தகப்பனோ தடுத்து: அது எனக்குத் தெரியும், என் மகனே, எனக்குத் தெரியும்; இவனும் ஒரு ஜனக்கூட்டமாவான், இவனும் பெருகுவான்; இவனுடைய தம்பியோ இவனிலும் அதிகமாய்ப் பெருகுவான்; அவனுடைய சந்ததியார் திரளான ஜனங்களாவார்கள் என்றான்.
19His father refused, and said, "I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his seed will become a multitude of nations."
20இவ்விதமாக அவன் அன்றைத்தினம் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்து: தேவன் உன்னை எப்பிராயீமைப்போலவும் மனாசேயைப்போலவும் ஆக்குவாராக என்று இஸ்ரவேலர் உன்னை முன்னிட்டு வாழ்த்துவார்கள் என்று சொல்லி, எப்பிராயீமை மனாசேக்கு முன்னே வைத்தான்.
20He blessed them that day, saying, "In you will Israel bless, saying, 'God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh'" He set Ephraim before Manasseh.
21பின்பு, இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: இதோ, நான் மரணமடையப்போகிறேன்; தேவன் உங்களோடே இருப்பார்; அவர் உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேசத்துக்கு உங்களைத் திரும்பவும் போகப்பண்ணுவார் என்றும்,
21Israel said to Joseph, "Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.
22உன் சகோதரருக்கு கொடுத்ததைப்பார்க்கிலும், நான் என் பட்டயத்தாலும், என் வில்லினாலும், எமோரியர் கையிலிருந்து சம்பாதித்த ஒரு நிலத்தை உனக்கு அதிகமான பங்காகக் கொடுத்தேன் என்றும் சொன்னான்.
22Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow."
