தமிழ் பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம்
எலிசா தன் வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான்; மூப்பரும் அவனோடு உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது ராஜா: ஒரு மனுஷனைத் தனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்பினான்; இந்த ஆள் எலிசாவினிடத்துக்கு வருமுன்னே, அவன் அந்த மூப்பரை நோக்கி: என் தலையை வாங்க, அந்தக் கொலைபாதகனுடைய மகன் ஆள் அனுப்பினான்; பார்த்தீர்களா? அந்த ஆள் வரும்போது, நீங்கள் அவனை உள்ளே வரவொட்டாமல் கதவைப் பூட்டிப்போடுங்கள்; அவனுக்குப் பின்னாக அவன் ஆண்டவனுடைய காலின் சத்தம் கேட்கிறது அல்லவா என்றான்.
World English Bible
But Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See you how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? behold, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold the door fast against him: isn't the sound of his master's feet behind him?
