பெலிஸ்தர் இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு விரோதமாய் அணிவகுத்து நின்றார்கள்; யுத்தம் அதிகரித்து, இஸ்ரவேலர் பெலிஸ்தருக்கு முன்பாக முறிய அடிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் சேனையில் போர்க்களத்திலே ஏறக்குறைய நாலாயிரம்பேர் வெட்டுண்டுபோனார்கள்.
World English Bible
The Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was struck before the Philistines; and they killed of the army in the field about four thousand men.
