தமிழ் பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம்
அப்படியே அவன் எழுந்து, சாறிபாத்துக்குப் போனான்; அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின் ஒலிமுகவாசலுக்கு அவன் வந்தபோது, அங்கே ஒரு விதவை விறகு பொறுக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்; அவன் அவளைப் பார்த்துக் கூப்பிட்டு, நான் குடிக்கிறதற்குக் கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில் எனக்குக் கொண்டுவா என்றான்.

So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks: and he called to her, and said, Please get me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
