1தாவீது கிழவனும் பூரண வயதுள்ளவனுமானபோது, தன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக்கினான்.
1Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லாப் பிரபுக்களையும், ஆசாரியரையும், லேவியரையும் கூடிவரும்படி செய்தான்.
2He gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
3அப்பொழுது முப்பது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட லேவியர் பேர்பேராக எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்; தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்ட அவர்களுடைய இலக்கம் முப்பத்தெண்ணாயிரம்.
3The Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.
4அவர்களில் இருபத்துநாலாயிரம்பேர் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் வேலையை விசாரிக்கிறவர்களும், ஆறாயிரம்பேர் தலைவரும் மணியக்காரருமாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்றும்,
4Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Yahweh; and six thousand were officers and judges;
5நாலாயிரம்பேர் வாசல் காக்கிறவர்களாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்றும், துதி செய்கிறதற்குத் தான் பண்ணுவித்த கீதவாத்தியங்களால் நாலாயிரம்பேர் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கிறவர்களாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்றும் தாவீது சொல்லி,
5and four thousand were doorkeepers; and four thousand praised Yahweh with the instruments which I made, said David, for giving praise.
6அவர்களை லேவியின் குமாரராகிய கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவர்களுடைய வகுப்புகளின்படி வகுத்தான்.
6David divided them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
7கெர்சோனியரில், லாதானும், சிமேயும் இருந்தார்கள்.
7Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
8லாதானின் குமாரர், யெகியேல், சேத்தாம், யோவேல் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்; இவர்களில் முந்தினவன் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்.
8The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9சிமேயின் குமாரர், செலோமித், ஆசியேல், ஆரான் என்னும் மூன்று பேர்; இவர்கள் லாதான் வம்சப் பிதாக்களில் தலைமையாயிருந்தார்கள்.
9The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers' houses of Ladan.
10யாகாத், சீனா, எயூஷ், பெரீயா என்னும் நாலுபேரும் சிமேயின் குமாரராயிருந்தார்கள்.
10The sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
11யாகாத் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்; சீனா இரண்டாம் குமாரனாயிருந்தான்; எயூஷூக்கும் பெரீயாவுக்கும் அநேகம் குமாரர் இராதபடியினால், அவர்கள் பிதாக்களின் குடும்பத்தாரில் ஒரே வம்சமாக எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.
11Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah didn't have many sons; therefore they became a fathers' house in one reckoning.
12கோகாத்தின் குமாரர், அம்ராம், இத்சார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்னும் நாலுபேர்.
12The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
13அம்ராமின் குமாரர், ஆரோன், மோசே என்பவர்கள்; ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் பரிசுத்தத்திற்குப் பரிசுத்தமான ஸ்தலத்தை என்றைக்கும் பரிசுத்தமாய்க் காக்கிறதற்கும், என்றைக்கும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக தூபங்காட்டுகிறதற்கும், அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்கிறதற்கும், அவர் நாமத்திலே ஆசீர்வாதம் கொடுக்கிறதற்கும் பிரித்துவைக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
13The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, forever, to burn incense before Yahweh, to minister to him, and to bless in his name, forever.
14தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசேயின் குமாரரோவெனில், லேவிகோத்திரத்தாருக்குள் எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.
14But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
15மோசேயின் குமாரர், கெர்சோம் எலியேசர் என்பவர்கள்.
15The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
16கெர்சோமின் குமாரரில் செபுவேல் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்.
16The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.
17எலியேசருடைய குமாரரில் ரெகபியா என்னும் அவன் குமாரன் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்; எலியேசருக்கு வேறே குமாரர் இல்லை; ரெகபியாவின் குமாரர் அநேகராயிருந்தார்கள்.
17The sons of Eliezer were: Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
18இத்சாரின் குமாரரில் செலோமித் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்.
18The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.
19எப்ரோனின் குமாரரில் எரியா என்பவன் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்; இரண்டாவது அமரியா, மூன்றாவது யாகாசியேல், நாலாவது எக்காமியாம்.
19The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
20ஊசியேலின் குமாரரில் மீகா என்பவன் தலைமையாயிருந்தான்; இரண்டாவது இஷியா.
20The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief, and Isshiah the second.
21மெராரியின் குமாரர், மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; மகேலியின் குமாரர், எலெயாசார், கீஸ் என்பவர்கள்.
21The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
22எலெயாசார் மரிக்கிறபோது, அவனுக்குக் குமாரத்திகளே அல்லாமல் குமாரர் இல்லை; கீசின் குமாரராகிய இவர்களுடைய சகோதரர் இவர்களை விவாகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.
22Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only: and their brothers the sons of Kish took them to wife.
23மூசியின் குமாரர், மகலி, ஏதேர், எரேமோத் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்.
23The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய குடும்பங்களின்படியே, பிதாக்களில் தலைமையாயிருந்த லேவி புத்திரரின் பேர்டாப்பின்படியே, தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்ட இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட இவர்களுடைய சந்ததியார் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துப் பணிவிடையைச் செய்தார்கள்.
24These were the sons of Levi after their fathers' houses, even the heads of the fathers' houses of those of those who were counted, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of the house of Yahweh, from twenty years old and upward.
25இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்தை இளைப்பாறியிருக்கப்பண்ணினார்; அவர் என்றென்றைக்கும் எருசலேமில் வாசம்பண்ணுவாரென்றும்,
25For David said, Yahweh, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever:
26இனி லேவியர் வாசஸ்தலத்தையாகிலும் அதின் ஊழியத்திற்கடுத்த அதின் பணிமுட்டுகளில் எதையாகிலும் சுமக்கத் தேவையில்லை என்றும்,
26and also the Levites shall no more have need to carry the tent and all the vessels of it for the service of it.
27தாவீது அவர்களைக் குறித்துச் சொன்ன கடைசி வார்த்தைகளின்படியே, லேவி புத்திரரில் தொகைக்குட்பட்டவர்கள் இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்டவர்களாயிருந்தார்கள்.
27For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.
28அவர்கள் ஆரோனுடைய குமாரரின் கீழ் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஊழியமாய் நின்று, பிராகாரங்களையும், அறைகளையும், சகல பரிசுத்த பணிமுட்டுகளின் சுத்திகரிப்பையும், தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஆராதனைக்கடுத்த வேலையையும் விசாரிப்பதும்,
28For their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Yahweh, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of the house of God;
29சமுகத்தப்பங்களையும், போஜனபலிக்கு மெல்லிய மாவையும், புளிப்பில்லாத அதிரசங்களையும், சட்டிகளிலே செய்கிறதையும் சுடுகிறதையும், திட்டமான சகல நிறையையும் அளவையும் விசாரிப்பதும்,
29for the show bread also, and for the fine flour for a meal-offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that which is baked in the pan, or of that which is soaked, and for all manner of measure and size;
30நாள்தோறும் காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் கர்த்தரைப் போற்றித் துதித்து, ஓய்வு நாட்களிலும், அமாவாசைகளிலும், பண்டிகைகளிலும், கர்த்தருக்குச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகள் செலுத்தப்படுகிற சகல வேளைகளிலும்,
30and to stand every morning to thank and praise Yahweh, and likewise in the evening;
31இலக்கத்திற்குள்ளான அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டபடியே, எப்பொழுதும் அந்தப் பிரகாரமாய்ச் செய்ய, கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பதும்,
31and to offer all burnt offerings to Yahweh, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Yahweh;
32ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தின் காவலையும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் காவலையும் தங்கள் சகோதரராகிய ஆரோனுடைய குமாரரின் காவலையும் காப்பதும், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிவிடையைச் செய்வதும், அவர்கள் வேலையாயிருந்தது.
32and that they should keep the charge of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brothers, for the service of the house of Yahweh.
