1அப்பொழுது தாவீது: தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயம் இருக்கும் ஸ்தலம் இதுவே; இஸ்ரவேல் பலியிடும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடம் இருக்கும் ஸ்தலமும் இதுவே என்றான்.
1Then David said, This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt-offering for Israel.
2பின்பு தாவீது இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலிருக்கிற அந்நிய ஜாதியாரைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து, தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுகிறதற்கான கல்லுகளை வெட்டிப் பணிப்படுத்தும் கல்தச்சரை ஏற்படுத்தினான்.
2David commanded to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew worked stones to build the house of God.
3தாவீது வாசல்களின் கதவுகளுக்கு வேண்டிய ஆணிகளுக்கும் கீல்களுக்கும் மிகுதியான இரும்பையும், நிறுத்து முடியாத ஏராளமான வெண்கலத்தையும்,
3David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings; and brass in abundance without weight;
4எண்ணிறந்த கேதுருமரங்களையும் சம்பாதித்தான்; சீதோனியரும், தீரியரும் தாவீதுக்குத் திரளான கேதுருமரங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
4and cedar trees without number: for the Sidonians and they of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.
5தாவீது: என் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் வாலிபனும் இளைஞனுமாயிருக்கிறான்; கர்த்தருக்குக் கட்டப்படும் ஆலயம் சகல தேசங்களிலும் கீர்த்தியும் மகிமையும் உடையதாய் விளங்கும்படி மகா பெரியதாயிருக்க வேண்டும்; ஆகையால் அதற்காக வேண்டியவைகளை இப்பொழுதே சேகரம் பண்ணவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி, தாவீது தன் மரணத்திற்கு முன்னே திரளாய்ச் சவதரித்து வைத்தான்.
5David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
6அவன் தன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனை அழைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுகிறதற்காக அவனுக்குக் கட்டளைகொடுத்து,
6Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.
7சாலொமோனை நோக்கி: என் குமாரனே, நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்திற்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட என் இருதயத்தில் நினைத்திருந்தேன்.
7David said to Solomon his son, As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.
8ஆனாலும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி: நீ திரளான இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி, பெரிய யுத்தங்களைப்பண்ணினாய்; நீ என் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டாம்; எனக்கு முன்பாக மிகுதியான இரத்தத்தைத் தரையிலே சிந்தப்பண்ணினாய்.
8But the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars: you shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.
9இதோ, உனக்குப் பிறக்கப்போகிற குமாரன் அமைதியுள்ள புருஷனாயிருப்பான்; சுற்றிலுமிருக்கும் அவன் சத்துருக்களையெல்லாம் விலக்கி அவனை அமர்ந்திருக்கச் செய்வேன்; ஆகையால் அவன் பேர் சாலொமோன் என்னப்படும்; அவன் நாட்களில் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் சமாதானத்தையும் அமரிக்கையையும் அருளுவேன்.
9Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days:
10அவன் என் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான்; அவன் எனக்குக் குமாரனாயிருப்பான், நான் அவனுக்குப் பிதாவாயிருப்பேன்; இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளும் அவனுடைய ராஜாங்கத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைப்படுத்துவேன் என்றார்.
10he shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
11இப்போதும் என் குமாரனே, நீ பாக்கியவானாயிருந்து, கர்த்தர் உன்னைக்குறித்துச் சொன்னபடியே உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டும்படி, அவர் உன்னுடனேகூட இருப்பாராக.
11Now, my son, Yahweh be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.
12கர்த்தர் உனக்கு ஞானத்தையும் உணர்வையும் அருளிச்செய்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கைக்கொண்டு, இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளும்படி உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவாராக.
12May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.
13கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்காக மோசேக்குக் கற்பித்த நியமங்களையும் நியாயங்களையும் செய்ய நீ கவனமாயிருந்தால் பாக்கியவானாயிருப்பாய்; நீ பலங்கொண்டு தைரியமாயிரு, பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இரு.
13Then shall you prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong, and of good courage. Don't be afraid, neither be dismayed.
14இதோ, நான் என் சிறுமையிலே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்காக ஒரு லட்சம் தாலந்து பொன்னையும், பத்து லட்சம் தாலந்து வெள்ளியையும், நிறுத்து முடியாத திரளான வெண்கலத்தையும் இரும்பையும் சவதரித்தும், மரங்களையும் கற்களையும் சவதரித்தும் வைத்தேன்; நீ இன்னும் அவைகளுக்கு அதிகமாய்ச் சவதரிப்பாய்.
14Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Yahweh one hundred thousand talents of gold, and one thousand thousand talents of silver, and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and you may add to them.
15வேலை செய்யத்தக்க திரளான சிற்பாசாரிகளும், தச்சரும், கல்தச்சரும், எந்த வேலையிலும் நிபுணரானவர்களும் உன்னோடிருக்கிறார்கள்.
15There are also workmen with you in abundance, cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work:
16பொன்னுக்கும், வெள்ளிக்கும், வெண்கலத்துக்கும், இரும்புக்கும் கணக்கில்லை; நீ எழும்பிக் காரியத்தை நடப்பி; கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருப்பாராக என்றான்.
16of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and Yahweh be with you.
17தன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய, தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலின் பிரபுக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் கற்பித்துச் சொன்னது:
17David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
18உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களோடிருந்து நான்கு திசையிலும் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதலைத் தந்தார் அல்லவா? தேசத்தின் குடிகளை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகவும், அவருடைய ஜனத்திற்கு முன்பாகவும், தேசம் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
18Isn't Yahweh your God with you? Hasn't he given you rest on every side? for he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh, and before his people.
19இப்போதும் நீங்கள் உங்கள் இருதயத்தையும், உங்கள் ஆத்துமத்தையும், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறதற்கு நேராக்கி, கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியையும், தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தப் பணிமுட்டுகளையும், கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்திற்குக் கட்டப்படும் அந்த ஆலயத்திற்குள் கொண்டுபோகும்படிக்கு, நீங்கள் எழும்பி, தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைக் கட்டுங்கள் என்றான்.
19Now set your heart and your soul to seek after Yahweh your God; arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yahweh.
