1இதற்குப்பின்பு, தாவீது பெலிஸ்தரை முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, காத் பட்டணத்தையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும் பெலிஸ்தரின் கையிலிருந்து பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்.
1After this it happened, that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2அவன் மோவாபியரையும் முறிய அடித்ததினால், மோவாபியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து அவனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்.
2He struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.
3சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசர் ஐபிராத் நதியண்டையில் தன் இராணுவத்தை நிறுத்தப்போகிறபோது, தாவீது அவனையும் ஆமாத்தின் கிட்டே முறிய அடித்தான்.
3David struck Hadarezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
4அவனுக்கு இருந்த ஆயிரம் இரதங்களையும் ஏழாயிரம் குதிரை வீரரையும் இருபதினாயிரம் காலாட்களையும் பிடித்து, இரதங்களில் நூறு இரதங்களை வைத்துக்கொண்டு, மற்றவைகளையெல்லாம் துண்டாடிப்போட்டான்.
4David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.
5சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசருக்கு உதவிசெய்யத் தமஸ்கு பட்டணத்தாராகிய சீரியர் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீது சீரியரில் இருபத்தீராயிரம்பேரை வெட்டிப்போட்டு,
5When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Syrians twenty-two thousand men.
6தமஸ்குவுக்கடுத்த சீரியாவிலே தாணையங்களை வைத்தான்; சீரியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து அவனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்; தாவீது போனஇடத்திலெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.
6Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
7ஆதாரேசரின் சேவகருக்கு இருந்த பொன் பரிசைகளைத் தாவீது எடுத்து, அவைகளை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.
7David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8ஆதாரேசரின் பட்டணங்களாகிய திப்காத்திலும் கூனிலுமிருந்து தாவீது வெகு திரளான வெண்கலத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தான்; அதினாலே சாலொமோன் வெண்கலக் கடல்தொட்டியையும் தூண்களையும் வெண்கலத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும் உண்டாக்கினான்.
8From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much brass, with which Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9தாவீது சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசரின் இராணுவத்தையெல்லாம் முறிய அடித்த செய்தியை ஆமாத்தின் ராஜாவாகிய தோயூ கேட்டபோது,
9When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10அவன் தாவீது ராஜாவின் சுகசெய்தியை விசாரிக்கவும், அவன் ஆதாரேசரோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவனை முறிய அடித்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு வினவுதல் சொல்லவும், தன் குமாரனாகிய அதோராமையும், பொன்னும் வெள்ளியும் வெண்கலமுமான சகலவிதத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும், அவனிடத்துக்கு அனுப்பினான்; ஆதாரேசர் தோயூவின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறவனாயிருந்தான்.
10he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadarezer and struck him; (for Hadarezer had wars with Tou;) and he had with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
11அந்தத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும், தான் ஏதோமியர், மோவாபியர், அம்மோன் புத்திரர், பெலிஸ்தர், அமலேக்கியர் என்னும் சகல ஜாதிகளின் கையிலும் வாங்கின வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும் கூடத் தாவீது ராஜா கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டான்.
11These also did king David dedicate to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12செருயாவின் குமாரன் அபிசாயி உப்புப் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பதினெண்ணாயிரம் ஏதோமியரை முறிய அடித்தான்.
12Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.
13ஆகையால் தாவீது ஏதோமிலே தாணையம் போட்டான்; ஏதோமியர் எல்லாரும் அவனைச் சேவிக்கிறவர்களானார்கள்; தாவீது போனஇடத்திலெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.
13He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
14தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் ஆண்டு, தன்னுடைய ஜனத்திற்கெல்லாம் நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்தான்.
14David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.
15செருயாவின் குமாரன் யோவாப் இராணுவத்தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; ஆகிலூதின் குமாரனாகிய யோசபாத் மந்திரியாயிருந்தான்.
15Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
16அகிதூபின் குமாரன் சாதோக்கும், அபியத்தாரின் குமாரன் அபிமெலேக்கும் ஆசாரியராயிருந்தார்கள்; சவிஷா சம்பிரதியாயிருந்தான்.
16and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17யோய்தாவின் குமாரன் பெனாயா கிரேத்தியருக்கும் பிலேத்தியருக்கும் தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; தாவீதின் புத்திரர் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் பிரதானிகளாயிருந்தார்கள்.
17and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
