1
ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଦୂରରେ ରହିଅଛ। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବିପଦରେ ପଡ଼ନ୍ତି ସମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଖିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

Why do you stand far off, Yahweh? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
2
ଗର୍ବୀ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ କୁମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସମାନେେ ଗରିବ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ଷତି କରନ୍ତି।

In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak; They are caught in the schemes that they devise.

ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆପଣା ମନସ୍କାମନା ବିଷଯରେ ଗର୍ବ ଅନୁଭବ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସହେି ଲୋଭୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦିଅନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଉପାଯରେ ସହେି ମନ୍ଦ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦଖାଇେ ଦବୋକୁ ଚାହାଁନ୍ତି ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି।

For the wicked boasts of his heart's cravings, He blesses the greedy, and condemns Yahweh.

ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ଅହଂକାର ବଶତଃ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମନ୍ଦ ଯୋଜନାରେ ବ୍ଯସ୍ତ ରହନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଭାବନ୍ତି ୟେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

The wicked, in the pride of his face, Has no room in his thoughts for God.

ମନ୍ଦ ଲୋକମାନେ ସବୁବେଳେ ମନ୍ଦ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ମନ ବଳାନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଉତ୍ତମ ଶିକ୍ଷାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ଉପଦେଶକୁ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରନ୍ତି।

His ways are prosperous at all times; He is haughty, and your laws are far from his sight: As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.

ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଭାବନ୍ତି ୟେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ କବେେ ବିପଦ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭର ସବୁବେଳେ ଭଲ ହବେ ଏବଂ କବେେ ବି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦଣ୍ଡ ପାଇବୁ ନାହିଁ।

He says in his heart, "I shall not be shaken; For generations I shall have no trouble."

ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ସବୁବେଳେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ତିରସ୍କାର କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ସବୁବେଳେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷଯରେ ମନ୍ଦ କଥା କହନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ସବୁବେଳେ ମନ୍ଦକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଯୋଜନା କରନ୍ତି।

His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଗୁପ୍ତସ୍ଥାନରେ ଲୁଚି ରହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଗୋପନରେ ରହି ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଆଘାତ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ ଦୋଷ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରନ୍ତି।

He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.

ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ ସିଂହ ଭଳି ଅନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ଖାଇ ୟାଆନ୍ତି ସମାନେେ ଗରିବ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରନ୍ତି। ସହେି ନିରୀହ ଲୋକମାନେ ସହଜରେ ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ବସାୟାଇଥିବା ୟନ୍ତାରେ ପଡ଼ି ୟାଆନ୍ତି।

He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.

ବାରମ୍ବାର ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ ନିରୀହ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ଷତି କରନ୍ତି।

The helpless are crushed, they collapse, They fall under his strength.

ତଣେୁ ସହେି ନିରୀହ ଲୋକମାନେ ଭାବିବାକୁ ଲାଗନ୍ତି, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୁଲି ୟାଇଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବହୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଚାଲି ୟାଇଛନ୍ତି। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ୟାହା ଘଟୁଛି ସେ ବୋଧହୁଏ ଦେଖୁ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି।

He says in his heart, "God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it."
12
ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୁଅ, ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କିଛି କର। ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦିଅ !ଗରିବ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୁଲି ୟାଅ ନାହିଁ।

Arise, Yahweh! God, lift up your hand! Don't forget the helpless.
13
କାହିଁକି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ୟାଆନ୍ତି ? କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଭାବନ୍ତି ୟେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦବେେ ନାହିଁ।

Why does the wicked person condemn God, And say in his heart, "God won't call me into account?"
14
ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ନଷ୍ଠୁର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଦେଖୁଅଛ। ଥରେ ସହେି ମନ୍ଦକାର୍ୟ୍ଯକୁ ଚାହଁ, ଓ କିଛି କର। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବିପଦରେ ପଡ଼ନ୍ତି, ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ଆସନ୍ତି। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହେଉଛ ଏକମାତ୍ର, ୟିଏକି ସହେି ପିତୃହୀନ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିପାର।

But you do see trouble and grief; You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.
15
ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କର। ସମାନଙ୍କେର କୁକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦଣ୍ଡିତ କର, ସମାନେେ ଧ୍ବଂସ ହାଇେ ନ ୟିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ।
15
Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
16
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ରାଜା ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ରାଜ୍ଯରୁ ବିତାଡ଼ିତ କର।
16
Yahweh is King forever and ever! The nations will perish out of his land.
17
ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ନିରୀହ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଡ଼ାକ ଶୁଣିଛ ବା ସମାନେେ ୟାହା ଚାହୁଁଛନ୍ତି ଜାଣିପାରୁଛ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣ ଓ ସମାନେେ ୟାହା ଚାହୁଁଛନ୍ତି ତାହା ପ୍ରଦାନ କର।
17
Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯେଉଁ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କର ପିତାମାତା ନାହାଁନ୍ତି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅଧିକ ବିପଦରେ ପଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି, ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକ ଦୁଃଖୀ କରାଅ ନାହିଁ। ତଣେୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମନରେ ଭୟ ସଞ୍ଚାର କର, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
18
To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, That man who is of the earth may terrify no more.
