1ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଥରକୁଥର, ଅନୁୟୋଗ ପାଇ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆପଣା ଗ୍ରୀବା ଶକ୍ତ କରେ, ସେ ପ୍ରତିକାର ବିନା ଶୀଘ୍ର ବିନାଶ ହବେ।
1He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck Will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.
2ଧାର୍ମିକମାନେ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଣୁ ହେଲେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ କତ୍ତୃର୍ତ୍ବ ପାଇଲେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ଆର୍ତ୍ତସ୍ବର କରନ୍ତି।
2When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; But when the wicked rule, the people groan.
3ଯେଉଁ ପୁତ୍ର ଜ୍ଞାନକୁ ସ୍ନହେ କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପିତାକୁ ଖୁସି ରେଖ। ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ବେଶ୍ଯାମାନଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଅନୁରକ୍ତ, ସେ ଆପଣା ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଉଡ଼ାଇ ଦିଏ।
3Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; But a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
4ରାଜା ସୁବିଚାର ଦ୍ବାରା ତାଙ୍କର ଦେଶକୁ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ କରେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଣେ ୟିଏ ଲାଞ୍ଚକୁ ଭଲପାଏ, ସେ ଏହାକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରେ।
4The king by justice makes the land stable, But he who takes bribes tears it down.
5ଯେଉଁଲୋକ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀର ଚାଟୁବାଦ କରେ, ସେ ତା'ର ପାଦ ପାଇଁ ଫାନ୍ଦ ବିଛାଏ।
5A man who flatters his neighbor, Spreads a net for his feet.
6ମନ୍ଦ ଲୋକର ଅଧର୍ମ ରେ ଫାନ୍ଦ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗାନ ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରେ।
6An evil man is snared by his sin, But the righteous can sing and be glad.
7ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଲୋକର ନ୍ଯାଯ ପାଇଁ ଯତ୍ନବାନ୍ ଥାନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ଜାଣିବା ପାଇଁ ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକର ବୁଦ୍ଧି ନାହିଁ।
7The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren't concerned about knowledge.
8ନିନ୍ଦକ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ନଗର ରେ ଅସୁବିଧା ପ୍ରଜ୍ଜ୍ବଳିତ କରନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ମନୁଷ୍ଯମାନେ କୋରଧକୁ ଶାନ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି।
8Mockers stir up a city, But wise men turn away anger.
9ଯେତବେେଳେ ଜଣେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ମୂର୍ଖ ସାଙ୍ଗ ରେ ବିଚାରାଳଯକୁ ୟାଏ, ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକ ରାଗି ୟାଏ ଏବଂ ୟୁକ୍ତି କରେ ଏବଂ ସଠାେ ରେ ବିବାଦର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସମାପ୍ତି ନ ଥାଏ।
9If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, The fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace.
10ରକ୍ତପାତ ପ୍ରିଯ ଲୋକମାନେ, ସିଦ୍ଧ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିକୁ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ନ୍ଯାଯବାନ ଲୋକ ତା'ର ଜୀବନକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରେ।
10The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; And they seek the life of the upright.
11ମୂର୍ଖ ଆପଣାର ସବୁ କୋରଧ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ତାହା ସମ୍ଭାଳି କ୍ଷାନ୍ତକରେ।
11A fool vents all of his anger, But a wise man brings himself under control.
12ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତା ଯଦି ମିଥ୍ଯାକୁ ଶୁଣନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଦୁର୍ନୀତିଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହବେେ।
12If a ruler listens to lies, All of his officials are wicked.
13ଦରିଦ୍ର ଓ ଉପଦ୍ରବୀ ଏକତ୍ର ମିଳନ୍ତି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଉଭୟର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦୀପ୍ତିମାନ କରନ୍ତି।
13The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: Yahweh gives sight to the eyes of both.
14ଯେଉଁ ରାଜା ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ରୂପେ ଦୀନହୀନମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରେ ତାହାର ସିଂହାସନ ସଦାକାଳ ପାଇଁ ସୁସ୍ଥିର ହବେ।
14The king who fairly judges the poor, His throne shall be established forever.
15ବାଡ଼ି ଓ ଅନୁୟୋଗ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଦିଏ। ମାତ୍ର ପିଲାକୁ ତା'ର ଇଚ୍ଛା ରେ ଛାଡ଼ି ଦେଲେ, ସେ ତା'ର ମାତାକୁ ଲଜ୍ଜ୍ଯା ଦିଏ।
15The rod of correction gives wisdom, But a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
16ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଣୁ ହେଲେ, ଅଧର୍ମ ବଢ଼େ। ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନିପାଦ ଦେଖିବେ।
16When the wicked increase, sin increases; But the righteous will see their downfall.
17ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ଅନୁଶାସନ କର, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶାନ୍ତି ଆଣି ଦବେ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦ ଆଣିଦବେ।
17Correct your son, and he will give you peace; Yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
18ଯଦି ଏକ ଜାତି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରକାଶିତବାକ୍ଯ ଦ୍ବାରା ନ ଚାଲେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ବିଶୃଙ୍ଖଳିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ନିଯମ ମାନି ଚଳେ, ସେ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ପାଏ।
18Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But one who keeps the law is blessed.
19ମାତ୍ର କଥା ରେ ସବେକକୁ ସଂଶୋଧିତ କରାୟାଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଯଦିଓ ସେ ବୁଝେ ସେ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିଯା କରେ ନାହିଁ।
19A servant can't be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond.
20ଯଦି ଜଣେ କିଛି ଚିନ୍ତା ନ କରି କିଛି କ ହେ, ତା ପ୍ରତି ଭରସା ରଖ ନାହିଁ। ତା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକଠା ରେ ଭରସା ରଖିଲେ ଭଲ।
20Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସବେକକୁ ତା'ର ବାଲ୍ଯକାଳରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରଶ୍ରଯ ଦିଅ, ସେ ଜିଦ୍ଖୋର୍ ସବେକ ହାଇଯେିବ।
21He who pampers his servant from youth Will have him become a son in the end.
22ରାଗିଲୋକ ସର୍ବଦା ବିଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ବାତାବରଣ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରନ୍ତି। ରାଗି ଲୋକମାନେ କେତକେ ପାପ କରିବସନ୍ତି।
22An angry man stirs up strife, And a wrathful man abounds in sin.
23ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଗର୍ବୀ ତବେେ ତାହା ତାକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରିବ। ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ବିନମ୍ର, ତବେେ ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଇବ।
23A man's pride brings him low, But one of lowly spirit gains honor.
24ଚୋରର ଭାଗିଦାର ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ। ଯଦି ସେ ବିଚାରାଳଯ ରେ ବାଧ୍ଯ ହୁଏ କହିବାକୁ, ତବେେ ସେ ସତ୍ଯ କହିବାକୁ ବହୁତ ଭୟ କରିବ।
24Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify.
25ଲୋକଭୟ ଫାନ୍ଦଜନକ, ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଯେ ନିର୍ଭର ରେଖ, ସେ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ହବେ।
25The fear of man proves to be a snare, But whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe.
26ଅନକେ ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାର ପାଖରୁ ନ୍ଯାଯ ପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ଯର ପ୍ରକୃତ ବିଚାର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆସିଥାଏ।
26Many seek the ruler's favor, But a man's justice comes from Yahweh.
27ଅଧର୍ମକାରୀ ଲୋକ ଧାର୍ମିକର ଘୃଣାର ବିଷଯ, ପୁଣି ସରଳ ପଥଗାମୀ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକର ଘୃଣା ବିଷଯ ହୁଏ।
27A dishonest man detests the righteous, And the upright in their ways detest the wicked.
