1କୃଷକ ତା'ର ଜମି ରେ ପାଣି ମଡ଼ାଇବା ପାଇଁ େଛାଟ ନାଳ କରେ। ସେ ତା'ର ଜଳ ୟୁଆଡ଼େ ନବୋକୁ ଚା ହେଁ ସେଆଡ଼େ ତା'ର ନାଳ ବଙ୍କଇେ ନିଏ। ରାଜାଙ୍କର ମନ ଠିକ୍ ଜଳର ଗତିପରି, ୟୁଆଡ଼େ ଇଚ୍ଛା ସିଆଡ଼େ ନଇୟୋଏ।
1The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.
2ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଯାହା କର୍ମ କରେ ତାହା ତା'ର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଠିକ୍ ଅଟେ। ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ହୃଦଯ ସବୁ ତୌଲନ୍ତି।
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But Yahweh weighs the hearts.
3ବଳିଦାନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ନ୍ଯାଯ ଓ ସୁବିଚାର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରିଯ ବିଷଯ।
3To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice.
4ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଗର୍ବ ଚାହାଁଣି ଓ ଗର୍ବୀତ ଚିନ୍ତା ପାପପରି। ତାହା ଲୋକର ପ୍ରଦୀପ ପରି ଦଖାୟୋଏ, ତାହା ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଶାସନ କରେ।
4A high look, and a proud heart, The lamp of the wicked, is sin.
5ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ଯୋଜନା ଏବଂ କଠିନ କର୍ମ ପ୍ରଚୁରତା ଜନ୍ମାଏ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଦୃଢ଼ ଭାବରେ ଅଳ୍ପକୁ ଅତିଶୀଘ୍ର ଧ ରେ। କବଳେ ଦାରିଦ୍ର୍ଯ ଆଡ଼କୁ ପଥ ଦଖାେଏ।
5The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; And everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
6ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଠକିକରି ଧନ ଅର୍ଜନ କରିଥାଅ, ସହେି ଧନ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଚାଲିୟିବ, ଠିକ୍ ବାଷ୍ଫପରି। ସହେି ଧନ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଆଡ଼କୁ ପରିଚାଳିତ ହବେ।
6Getting treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.
7ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କର ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ସମାନେେ ନ୍ଯାଯ କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ନାସ୍ତି କରନ୍ତି।
7The violence of the wicked will drive them away, Because they refuse to do what is right.
8ଦୋଷ ରେ ଭାରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଲୋକର ପଥ ଅତିଶଯ ବକ୍ର, ମାତ୍ର ଜଣେ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକର ପଥ ସଳଖ ଏବଂ ସାଧୁ।
8The way of the guilty is devious, But the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9କଳିହୁଡ଼ି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ପ୍ରଶସ୍ତ ଗୃହ ରେ ବାସ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଛାତର ଏକ କଣ ରେ ବାସ କରିବା ଭଲ।
9It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, Than to share a house with a contentious woman.
10ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକର ମନ ସର୍ବଦା ଅନଷ୍ଟ ପାଞ୍ଚେ। ପୁଣି ତା'ର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ତା'ର ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀ କିଛି ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ପାଏ ନାହିଁ।
10The soul of the wicked desires evil; His neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.
11ନିନ୍ଦକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେଲେ, ନିର୍ବୋଧ ଲୋକ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ୍ ହୁଏ। ମାତ୍ର ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ୍କୁ ବୁଝାଇ ଦେଲେ ସେ ଆହୁରି ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ୍ ହୁଏ।
11When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom; When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
12ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବଂଶ ବିଷଯ ରେ ବିବଚେନା କରେ। ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ କିପରି ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ ହାଇେ କିପରି ସର୍ବନାଶ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। ଏହା ସୁବିବଚେନା କରେ।
12The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, And brings the wicked to ruin.
13ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଦୁଃଖୀ ଦରିଦ୍ରର ଡ଼ାକ ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆପେ ଡ଼ାକିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଉତ୍ତର ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
13Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, He will also cry out, but shall not be heard.
14ଗୁପ୍ତ ରେ ଦାନ ଦେଲେ କୋରଧ ଶାନ୍ତ ହୁଏ। ପୁଣି ଅଣ୍ଟି ରେ ଲାଞ୍ଚ ପ୍ରଦାନ ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡ କୋପ ଶାନ୍ତ କରେ।
14A gift in secret pacifies anger; And a bribe in the cloak, strong wrath.
15ନ୍ଯାଯ ଆଚରଣ ଧାର୍ମିକ ପ୍ରତି ଆନନ୍ଦର ବିଷଯ। ମାତ୍ର ତାହା କୁକର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିନାଶଜନକ।
15It is joy to the righteous to do justice; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
16ଯେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ପଥ ଛାଡ଼ି ଭ୍ରମଣ କରେ, ସେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଲୋକ ମଧିଅରେ ଶଷେ ହବେ।
16The man who wanders out of the way of understanding Shall rest in the assembly of the dead.
17ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଆମାଦେ ଭଲପାଏ, ସେ ଦରିଦ୍ର ହବେ। ପୁଣି ଯେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଓ ତୈଳ ଭଲପାଏ, ସେ ଧନବାନ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
17He who loves pleasure shall be a poor man: He who loves wine and oil shall not be rich.
18ଦୁଷ୍ଟଲୋକ ଧାର୍ମିକର ମୁକ୍ତିର ମୂଲ୍ଯ ସ୍ବରୂପ, ପୁଣି ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକ ସରଳ ଲୋକର ବଦଳି ସ୍ବରୂପ।
18The wicked is a ransom for the righteous; The treacherous for the upright.
19କଳହକାରିଣୀ ଓ ଚିଡ଼ିଚିଡ଼ିଆ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ବାସ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ନିର୍ଜନ ଭୂମିରେ ବାସ କରିବା ଭଲ।
19It is better to dwell in a desert land, Than with a contentious and fretful woman.
20ଜ୍ଞାନବାନର ଗୃହ ରେ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଥାଏ ଓ ତୈଳ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଗୋଟିଏ ମୂର୍ଖ ଶୋଷି ଦିଏ ଏବଂ ଏହା ସମସ୍ତ ଶଷେ କରେ।
20There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; But a foolish man swallows it up.
21ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ଦୟାର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ, ସେ ଜୀବନ, ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଏ।
21He who follows after righteousness and kindness Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
22ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ ବଳବାନ୍ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ। ପୁଣି ଦୁର୍ଗସବୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ ସମାନେେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରନ୍ତି।
22A wise man scales the city of the mighty, And brings down the strength of its confidence.
23ଯେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଓ ଜିହ୍ବା ରକ୍ଷା କରେ ସେ କ୍ଲେଶରୁ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରେ।
23Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.
24ଅହଙ୍କାରୀ ଓ ଦାମ୍ଭିକ ଲୋକ ନିନ୍ଦୁକ ନାମ ରେ ବିଖ୍ଯାତ। ସେ ଆତ୍ମଗର୍ବ ଦଖାେଏ।
24The proud and haughty man, "scoffer" is his name; He works in the arrogance of pride.
25ଅଳସୁଆର ବାଞ୍ଚିତ ବିଷଯ ତାହାର ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଘଟାଏ। କାରଣ ତାହାର ହସ୍ତ କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ମନା କରେ।
25The desire of the sluggard kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.
26କିଛି ଲୋଭୀ ଲୋକ ଦିନୟାକ କାଟନ୍ତି ବହୁ ଜିନିଷ ଗୁଡ଼ିକ ପାଇଁ ବାସନା କରି, ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ଉଦାର ସହିତ ଦିଅନ୍ତି।
26There are those who covet greedily all the day long; But the righteous give and don't withhold.
27ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କର ବଳିଦାନ ଘୃଣାର ବିଷଯ, ମାତ୍ର ସେ କୁଅଭିପ୍ରାଯ ରେ ତାହା କଲେ ବହୁତ ଘୃଣିତ ହୁଏ।
27The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination: How much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!
28ମିଥ୍ଯାସାକ୍ଷୀ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହବେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରକୃତ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ପୁନର୍ବାର ପରୀକ୍ଷା ହବେ।
28A false witness will perish, And a man who listens speaks to eternity.
29ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ କଠିନ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ସରଳ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ବାଟ ଜାଣିଥାଏ।
29A wicked man hardens his face; But as for the upright, he establishes his ways.
30ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କୌଣସି ଜ୍ଞାନ କି ବୁଦ୍ଧି କି ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ନାହିଁ।
30There is no wisdom nor understanding Nor counsel against Yahweh.
31ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ଅଶ୍ବ ସୁସଜ୍ଜିତ ହୁଏ। ମାତ୍ର ଜଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସର୍ବଦାଆ ସେ।
31The horse is prepared for the day of battle; But victory is with Yahweh.
