1କୋମଳ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଉତ୍ତର କୋରଧକୁ ଦମନ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର କଟୁବାକ୍ଯ କୋପ ଜନ୍ମାଏ।
1A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.
2ଜଣେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ ତା'ର ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ଭଲ ଭାବରେ କହିପା ରେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ନିର୍ ବୋଧ ନିର୍ ବୋଧତାକୁ ବଖାଣେ।
2The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, But the mouth of fools gush out folly.
3ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସର୍ବଦା ସବୁଠା ରେ ଘଟୁଥିବା ଘଟଣାକୁ ଦେଖନ୍ତି। ସେ ଅଧମ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ନୀରିକ୍ଷଣ କରନ୍ତି।
3Yahweh's eyes are everywhere, Keeping watch on the evil and the good.
4ଶାନ୍ତିର ବାକ୍ଯ ଜୀବନର ବୃକ୍ଷ ସ୍ବରୂପ। ମାତ୍ର କୁଟିଳ ବାକ୍ଯ ଆତ୍ମା ନଷ୍ଟ କରେ।
4A gentle tongue is a tree of life, But deceit in it crushes the spirit.
5ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ଆପଣା ପିତାର ଶାସନକୁ ଅବ ହଳୋ କରେ, ମାତ୍ର ବିଜ୍ଞୋଚିତ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଭର୍ତ୍ସନାକୁ ଆଦର ସହ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି।
5A fool despises his father's correction, But he who heeds reproof shows prudence.
6ଧାର୍ମିକର ଗୃହ ରେ ବହୁ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଥାଏ। ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଆଯ ରେ ସବୁବେଳେ କଷ୍ଟ ଥାଏ।
6In the house of the righteous is much treasure, But the income of the wicked brings trouble.
7ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ଯ ଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରସାରଣ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖର ମନ ସପରେି କରେ ନାହିଁ।
7The lips of the wise spread knowledge; Not so with the heart of fools.
8ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ବଳିଦାନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଘୃଣାର ବିଷଯ ଅଟେ। ମାତ୍ର ସରଳ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାକୁ ସେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି।
8The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, But the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଗତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଘୃଣା ବିଷଯ। ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଅନୁଗାମୀକି ସେ ପ୍ ରମେ କରନ୍ତି।
9The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, But he loves him who follows after righteousness.
10ଜଣେ ୟିଏ ଜ୍ଞାନର ପଥ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରେ, ପୁଣି ଯେଉଁଲୋକ ଅନୁୟୋଗ ଘୃଣା କରେ ସେ ମରିବ।
10There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way: Whoever hates reproof shall die.
11ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଓ ବିନାଶ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ଖାେଲା ପଡ଼ିଥାଏ। ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ହୃଦଯର ଅଭିପ୍ରାଯ ତା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ତାହାଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟା
11Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh� How much more then the hearts of the children of men!
12ଜଣେ ନିନ୍ଦୁକ ଅନୁୟୋଗ ପାଇବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ କଦାପି ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ୟାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
12A scoffer doesn't love to be reproved; He will not go to the wise.
13ଗୋଟିଏ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହୃଦଯ ମୁଖକୁ ପ୍ରଫୁଲ୍ଲ କରେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ହୃଦଯର ଦୁଃଖ ସହିତ, ଆତ୍ମା ଦୁଃଖୀ ହବେ ଏବଂ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ୟାଏ।
13A glad heart makes a cheerful face; But an aching heart breaks the spirit.
14ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନର ମନ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଲୋଡ଼େ। ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖମାନଙ୍କର ମୁଖ ଅଜ୍ଞାନତା ଆହାର କରେ।
14The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, But the mouths of fools feed on folly.
15ଗୋଟିଏ ମାତ୍ର ଜଣେ ହୃଷ୍ଟଚିତ୍ତ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଦିନ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭୋଜି ଅଟେ।
15All the days of the afflicted are wretched, But one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast.
16ଅଶାନ୍ତି ୟୁକ୍ତି ବହୁ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଅପେକ୍ଷା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଭୟୟୁକ୍ତ ଅଳ୍ପ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଭଲ।
16Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, Than great treasure with trouble.
17ହିଂସା ସହିତ ହୃଷ୍ଟପୃଷ୍ଟ ଗୋମାଂସ ଭୋଜନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ପ୍ ରମେଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଶାକାନ୍ନ ଭଲ।
17Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, Than a fattened calf with hatred.
18କ୍ରୋଧୀ ଲୋକ ବିବାଦ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଣେ ର୍ଧୈୟ୍ଯ ମଣିଷ ଯାହାର ଗୋଟିଏ ବିବାଦକୁ ସମାଧାନ କରେ।
18A wrathful man stirs up contention, But one who is slow to anger appeases strife.
19ଅଳସର ବାଟ କଣ୍ଟାବାଡ଼ ପରି, ମାତ୍ର ଗୋଟିଏ ସାଧୁ ଲୋକର ପଥ ଗୋଟିଏ ରାଜପଥ ପରି ଅଟେ।
19The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, But the path of the upright is a highway.
20ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ପୁତ୍ର ପିତାର ଆହ୍ଲାଦ ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖ ପୁତ୍ର ଆପଣା ମାତାକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରେ।
20A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother.
21ନିର୍ ବୋଧ ପ୍ରତି, ଅଜ୍ଞାନତା କୌତୁହଳପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ମାତ୍ର ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ୍ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ଗତି ୟଥୋଚିତ୍ କରନ୍ତି।
21Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, But a man of understanding keeps his way straight.
22ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଅଭାବରେ ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପ ବିଫଳ ହୁଏ। ମାତ୍ର ବହୁତ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଦ୍ବାରା ତାହା ସ୍ଥିରୀକୃତ ହୁଏ।
22Where there is no counsel, plans fail; But in a multitude of counselors they are established.
23ଉତ୍ତମ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଇେ ଜଣେ ଆନନ୍ଦ ପାଏ, କିନ୍ତୁ କେତେ ଭଲ ୟଥୋଚିତ କଥା ୟଥୋଚିତ ସମୟରେ ଅଟେ।
23Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!
24ନୀଚସ୍ଥିତ ପାତାଳକୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ୍ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଜୀବନର ପଥ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ବଗାମୀ।
24The path of life leads upward for the wise, To keep him from going downward to Sheol.
25ଗର୍ବୀ ଲୋକର ଗୃହକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବେ। ମାତ୍ର ବିଧବାର ସୀମା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସ୍ଥିର କରିବେ।
25Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud, But he will keep the widow's borders intact.
26ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକର ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ନିକଟରେ ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ଅଟେ। ମାତ୍ର ସ୍ବଳ୍ପ କଥା ଆନନ୍ଦ ଦାୟକ।
26Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked, But the thoughts of the pure are pleasing.
27ଲୋଭୀ ଆପଣା ପରିଜନକୁ ଦୁଃଖ ଦିଏ। ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଲାଞ୍ଚକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ, ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ।
27He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.
28ଧାର୍ମିକର ମନ ବିବଚେନା କରି ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଏ। ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ମନ୍ଦକଥା ସର୍ବଦା କ ହେ।
28The heart of the righteous weighs answers, But the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil.
29ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂର ରେ ଥାନ୍ତି। ପୁଣି ଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ସେ ଶୁଣନ୍ତି।
29Yahweh is far from the wicked, But he hears the prayer of the righteous.
30ଚକ୍ଷୁର ଦୀପ୍ତି ମନକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ କରେ। ଉତ୍ତମ ସମାଚାର ଅସ୍ଥିଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପୃଷ୍ଟି ଯୋଗଏ।
30The light of the eyes rejoices the heart. Good news gives health to the bones.
31ଯେଉଁ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଜୀବନ ଦାୟକ ଅନୁୟୋଗ ଶୁଣେ, ତାହା ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ବାସ କରେ।
31The ear that listens to reproof lives, And will be at home among the wise.
32ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଶାସନ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ଯ କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ କାଳକୁ ହ୍ରାସ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ଅନୁ ଯୋଗ ଯେ ଶୁଣେ, ସେ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ପାଏ।
32He who refuses correction despises his own soul, But he who listens to reproof gets understanding.
33ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସମ୍ମାନ ଜ୍ଞାନପ୍ରଦ ଉପଦେଶ ଅଟେ। ଏବଂ ନମ୍ରତା ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଥାଏ।
33The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.
