1ଯୋଷଫଙ୍କେ ପୁତ୍ର ମନଃଶି, ମନଃଶିଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ମାଖୀର , ମାଖୀରର ପ୍ରପୌତ୍ର ଗିଲିଯଦ, ଗିଲିଯଦର ପୌତ୍ର ହଫରେ ଓ ହଫରେର ପୁତ୍ର ସଲଫାଦ। ଏହି ସଲଫାଦର ପାଞ୍ଚଟି କନ୍ଯା ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ହେଲେ ମହଲା, ନୋଯା, ହଗାଲା, ମଲ୍କା ଓ ତର୍ସା।
1Then drew near the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2ଏହି ପାଞ୍ଚଜଣ ମାଶାେ, ଇଲିଯାସର ଯାଜକ, ଅଧିପତି ଓସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ତଳୀ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ଦ୍ବାର ରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ କହିଲେ,
2They stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the tent of meeting, saying,
3ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ମରୁଭୂମିରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ନିଜ ପାପ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲେ। ସହେିମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଜଣେ ନଥିଲେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ କୋରହ ଦଳ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ନତେୃତ୍ବ ନଇେଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ନଥିଲା।
3Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Yahweh in the company of Korah: but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons.
4ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଲୋପ ପାଇୟିବ, ଯେ ହତେୁ ତାଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ପୁତ୍ର ନଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ପିତୃବଂଶୀଯ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୂମି ଦିଅ।
4Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.
5ତେଣୁ ମାଶାେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଇଁ ନିବଦନେ କଲେ।
5Moses brought their cause before Yahweh.
6ତହୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,
6Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
7ସଲଫାଦର କନ୍ଯାଗଣ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପିତୃବଂଶୀଯ ଭାତୃଗଣ ମଧିଅରେ ଅବଶ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପୈତୃକ ଅଧିକାର ଦବେ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତାହା ଦିଅ, ଯାହା ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପିତା ପାଇଥାନ୍ତେ।
7The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: you shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brothers; and you shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
8ଆଉ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଏହି ବିଧି ପ୍ରଚଳନ କର, 'ଯଦି କୌଣସି ଲୋକର ପୁତ୍ର ନଥାଇ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କରେ, ତବେେ ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ତା'ର କନ୍ଯା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ।
8You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
9ଯଦି ତାହାର କନ୍ଯା ବା ପୁତ୍ର ନଥାଏ ତବେେ ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ତାହାର ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦବେ।
9If he have no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
10ପୁଣି ଯଦି ତାହାର ଭାଇ ନଥାଏ ତବେେ ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ତା'ର ପିତାର ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦବେ।
10If he have no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.
11ଆଉ ଯବେେ ତା'ର ପିତାର ଭାଇମାନେ ନଥାନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ତାହାର ପରିବାର ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଏବଂ ନିକଟ ସଂପର୍କୀଯ ଜ୍ଞାତିକୁ ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ଦବେ। ଏହା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ବିଚାରବିଧି ହବେ। ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ହେଲେ।'
11If his father have no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be to the children of Israel a statute and ordinance, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
12ଅନନ୍ତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ୟର୍ବ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ପୂର୍ବ ରେ ଥିବା ଏହି ଅବାରୀମ ପର୍ବତ ଆରୋହଣ କର, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦଇେଅଛୁ ତାହା ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କର।
12Yahweh said to Moses, Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.
13ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କଲାପରେ, ହାରୋଣଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ନିକଟକୁ ୟିବ।
13When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered;
14ମନେ ପକାଅ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସୀନ ମରୁଭୂମିରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଜଳ ପାଇଁ କୋର୍ଧିତ ହେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ହାରୋଣ ମାରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅମାନ୍ଯ କଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ପବିତ୍ରତାକୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ସମ୍ମାନ କଲ ନାହିଁ। (ଏହି ସୀନ୍ ମରୁଭୂମି କାଦେଶସ୍ଥ ମିରୀବାଃ-ଜଳ ମଧିଅରେ ଘଟଣା କ୍ରମେ ହବେ।)
14because you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes. (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
15ଅନନ୍ତର ମାଶାେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
15Moses spoke to Yahweh, saying,
16ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପ୍ରାଣୀସମାଜର ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ଜାଣନ୍ତି। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ବିନଯ କରୁଛି ଏହି ମଣ୍ତଳୀ ପ୍ରତି ଏକ ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ନିୟୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତୁ।
16Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ବିନଯ କରୁଛ ଏକ ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ବାଛିବାକୁ, ୟିଏ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଗଇେ ନବେ ଏବଂ ନୂତନ ଭୂମିକୁ ଆଣି ପାରିବ। ଏହିପ୍ରକା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ବିନା ପାଳକରେ ମଷେପଲ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ହବେେ ନାହିଁ।
17who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of Yahweh not be as sheep which have no shepherd.
18ତହୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହାଶୂେୟକୁ ନିଅ, ସେ ଉପୟୁକ୍ତତା ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଅଟେ, ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିଅ।
18Yahweh said to Moses, Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
19ଆଉ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ତଳୀ ଓ ଯାଜକ ଇଲିଯାସ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଅ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ ତା'ର ଆଦେଶ ଦିଅ।
19and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
20ତାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାର କିଛି ଅଧିକାର ଦିଅ ଯେପରି ସମସ୍ତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ମାନିବେ।
20You shall put of your honor on him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.
21ପୁଣି ସେ ଇଲିଯାସର ଯାଜକ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଠିଆ ହବେ, ଇଲିଯାସର ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଊରୀମର ବିଚାର ଦ୍ବାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭିଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ସେ ପଚାରିବ; ତବେେ ସମୁଦାଯ ମଣ୍ତଳୀ 'ବାହାରକୁ ଯିବେ'ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନୁସାରେ ଆସିବେ।
21He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
22ଏଥି ରେ ମାଶାେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ କର୍ମ କଲେ; ସେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କୁ ଯାଜକ ଇଲିଯାସର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲେ।
22Moses did as Yahweh commanded him; and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
23ପୁଣି ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତାର୍ପଣ କଲେ, ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ହାତ ରେ ଯରେୂପ କହିଥିଲେ, ସେ ରୂପ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ।
23and he laid his hands on him, and gave him a charge, as Yahweh spoke by Moses.
