ସେତବେେଳେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖ ରେ କେତକେ ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ। ଗାଲିଲୀର କେତକେ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ଯାହା ଘଟିଥିଲା, ସହେି ବିଷୟ ରେ ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଉପାସନା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ପୀଲାତ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥିଲେ, ଓ ବଳିପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତ ସହିତ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ରକ୍ତକୁ ମିଶାଇଥିଲେ।

Now there were some present at the same time who told him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କ'ଣ ଭାବୁଛ ଯେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ଗାଲୀଲୀର ସବଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପାପୀ ଥିଲେ ବୋଲି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଏ ଦଶା ଭୋଗିବାକୁ ପଡିଲା?

Jesus answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered such things?

ନା, ସମାନେେ ତାହା ନଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭର ହୃଦୟ ଓ ଜୀବନଯାପନ ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ ରେ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ୍ ନଆଣିବ ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଭଳି ଧ୍ବଂସ ପାଇୟିବ।

I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.

ଶୀଲୋହ ରେ ସହେି ଯେଉଁ ଅଠର ଜଣଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରହରୀଗୃହ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପଡିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କ'ଣ ଭାବୁଛ ଯେ ସମାନେେ ୟିରୂଶାଲମ ରେ ରହୁଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ପାପୀ ଥିଲେ?

Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them; do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Jerusalem?

ନା, ସମାନେେ ତା ନଥିଲେ। ମୁଁ କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଛି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ହୃଦୟ ଓ ଜୀବନଯାପନ ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ ରେ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ନ ଆଣିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସବୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହବେ।

I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way."

ଯୀଶୁ ପୁଣି ଏହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତଟି କହିଲେ, କୌଣସି ଗୋଟିଏ ଲୋକ ତା ବଗିଚା ରେ ଡିମ୍ବିିରି ଗଛଟିଏ ଲଗାଇଥିଲା। ଗଛ ରେ ଫଳ ଆସିଛି କି ନାହିଁ ତାହା ଦେଖିବାକୁ ସେ ଆସିଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ହେଲେ ଫଳ ପାଇଲା ନାହିଁ।

He spoke this parable. "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and found none.
7
ତେଣୁ ସେ ବଗିଚା ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ରେ ଥିବା ଚାକରକୁ କହିଲା, ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ତିନି ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ଏ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଗଛ ରେ ଫଳ ଆସିବ ବୋଲି ଅପେକ୍ଷାକରି ଆସୁଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ହେଲେ ଫଳ ମୁଁ ପାଉନାହିଁ। ଏ ଗଛଟା କାଟିଦିଅ, କାହିଁକି ଅଯଥା ରେ ସେ ଗଛଟା ମାଟି ଖରାପ କରିବ?'

He said to the vine dresser, 'Behold, these three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and found none. Cut it down. Why does it waste the soil?'

କିନ୍ତୁ ଚାକରଟି କହିଲା, 'ମାଲିକ, ଆଉ ବର୍ଷକ ପାଇଁ ଏହାକୁ ଛାଡିଦିଅ। ମୁଁ ଏହାର ଚାରିପଟେ ଗାତ ଖାେଳି ଖତସାର ଦବେି।

He answered, 'Lord, leave it alone this year also, until I dig around it, and fertilize it.
9
କାଳେ ଆସନ୍ତା ବର୍ଷ ଗଛ ରେ ଫଳ ଆସିପା ରେ। ଯଦି ଆସନ୍ତା ବର୍ଷ ଗଛ ରେ ଫଳ ନ ଆସିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହାକୁ କାଟି ଦଇପୋର।'

If it bears fruit, fine; but if not, after that, you can cut it down.'"

ଥରେ ଯୀଶୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଯୀହୂଦୀ ସମାଜଗୃହ ରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଉଥିଲେ।

He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day.

ସଠାେରେ ଏପରି ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକ ଥିଲା, ଯାହା ଦହେ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭୂତ ପ୍ରବେଶ କିର ରହିଥିଲା। ଭୂତ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକଟିକୁ ଅଠର ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ପଙ୍ଗୁ କରି ପକାଇଥିଲା। ସେ କୁଜ୍ଜା ହାଇେ ନଇଁ ଯାଉଥିଲା। ସେ ଜମା ସିଧା ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ପାରୁନଥିଲା।

Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over, and could in no way straighten herself up.

ଯୀଶୁ ତାକୁ ଡାକି ପାଖ ରେ ଦେଖି କହିଲେ, ହେ ନାରୀ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୀଡିତା ଅବସ୍ଥା ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଚାଲିଯାଇଛି।

When Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your infirmity."
13
ଯୀଶୁ ନିଜ ହାତ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକଟି ଉପରେ ରଖିଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକଟି ସିଧା ଠିଆ ହବୋକୁ ସକ୍ଷମ ହେଲା। ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସ୍ତୁତି କଲା।

He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God.
14
ଯୀଶୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ବାର ରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକଟିକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିଦବୋରୁ ଯିହୂଦୀ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାଗୃହର ନେତା ରାଗିଗଲେ। ନେତା ଜଣକ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସପ୍ତାହ ରେ କାମ କରିବାକୁ ଛଅ ଦିନ ରହିଛି। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହବୋ ପାଇଁ ସେ ଭିତରୁ କୌଣସି ଦିନ ଆସ। ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ରେ କବେେ ହେଲେ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହବୋପାଇଁ ଆସନାହିଁ।

The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, "There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!"

ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କପଟୀ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ଏପରିକି ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କାମ କରୁଥିବା ପଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଖାଲିେ ପାଣି ପିଆଇଥାଅ।

Therefore the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water?
16
ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକଟିକୁ ମୁଁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିଦଲେି ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଜଣେ ଯିହୂଦୀ ଭଉଣୀ ଶୟତାନ ତାକୁ ଅଠର ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ବାନ୍ଧି ରଖିଥିଲା, ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ରେ ସେଥିରୁ ସେ ମୁକ୍ତ ହବୋ କ'ଣ ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ?

Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?"
17
ଯୀଶୁ ଏକଥା କହିବା ବେଳେ ଯେଉଁସବୁ ଲୋକେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଲୋଚନା କରୁଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ ଯେଉଁସବୁ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ମାନ କଲେ, ତାକୁ ଦେଖି ସବୁ ଲୋକ ଖୁସି ହେଲେ।

As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed, and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18
ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ କିଭଳି? ମୁଁ ଏହାକୁ କାହା ସହିତ ତୁଳନା କରି ପାରିବି?

He said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? To what shall I compare it?
19
ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଗୋଟିଏ ଶାରେିଷ ଦାନା ଭଳି। ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ସେ ଶାରେିଷ ମଞ୍ଜିଟି ତା' ବଗିଚା ରେ ବୁଣେ। ମଞ୍ଜିଟିରୁ ଗଜା ବାହାରି ଗଛ ହୁଏ। ପକ୍ଷୀମାନେ ଏହାର ଡାଳ ରେ ବସା ବାନ୍ଧନ୍ତି।

It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and put in his own garden. It grew, and became a large tree, and the birds of the sky lodged in its branches."
20
ଯୀଶୁ ପୁଣି କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ କାହା ସହିତ ତୁଳନା କରିପାରିବି?

Again he said, "To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God?
21
ଏହା ଖମୀର ଭଳି। ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକ ରୋଟୀ ତିଆରି କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବଡ ପାତ୍ର ରେ ଥିବା ଅଟା ସହିତ ଖମୀର ମିଶାଏ। ଖମୀର ସମସ୍ତ ଦଳାଅଟାକୁ ଫୁଲାଇ ଦିଏ।
21
It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened."
22
ଯୀଶୁ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ନଗର ଓ ଗ୍ରାମ ରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଉଥିଲେ। ସେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁ କରୁ ୟିରୂଶାଲମ ଆଡକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲେ।

He went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and traveling on to Jerusalem.
23
ଜଣେ କହେି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ, କେତେ ଜଣ ଲୋକ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇ ପାରିବେ? କ'ଣ ଅଳ୍ପ ଲୋକ?

One said to him, "Lord, are they few who are saved?" He said to them,
24
ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେ ଅଣ ଓସାରିଆ ଦ୍ବାର ଦଇେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗରାଜ୍ଯ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କଠିନ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କର। ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ସଠାେରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବାକୁ ସମର୍ଥ ହବେେ ନାହିଁ।

"Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able.
25
ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ତା'ର ଘରର କବାଟ ବନ୍ଦ କରି ଦିଏ ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବାହା ରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ କବାଟ ବାଡଇବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କବାଟ ଖାଲିବେ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହିବ, 'ଆଜ୍ଞା, ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଦ୍ବାର ଫିଟାନ୍ତୁ।' କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକଟି କହିବ, 'ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜାଣିନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଛ?'

When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' then he will answer and tell you, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'
26
ତା'ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହିବ, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଏକାଠି ଖାଇଛୁ, ପିଇଛୁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନଗର ଗଳିମାନଙ୍କ ରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଦଇେଛ।'

Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drink in your presence, and you taught in our streets.'
27
ତା'ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବେ, 'ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଛ? ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମନ୍ଦ କାମ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକ। ମାେ'ପାଖରୁ ଦୂର ହୁଅ।'

He will say, 'I tell you, I don't know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.'
28
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ, ୟିସ୍ହାକ ଓ ଯାକୁବ ତଥା ଅନ୍ୟ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ରେ ଦେଖିପାରିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବାହା ରେ ରହିୟିବ। ସତେିକି ବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କୋରଧ ଓ ଭୟ ରେ କାନ୍ଦିବ।

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of God, and yourselves being thrown outside.
29
ଲୋକମାନେ ପୂର୍ବ, ପଶ୍ଚିମ. ଉତ୍ତର ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗରୁ ଆସିବେ। ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ରେ ଖାଇବାକୁ ବସିବେ।

They will come from the east, west, north, and south, and will sit down in the Kingdom of God.
30
କେତକେ ଲୋକ ଥିବେ, ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ଜାଗତିକ ପଦ ମର୍ୟ୍ଯଦା ସବୁଠାରୁ ନିମ୍ନ ରେ ଅଛି, ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ରେ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଆସନ ଲାଭ କରିବେ। ଆଉ ଶଷେ ରେ ଥିବା କେତକେ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରଥମ ହବେେ ଓ ପ୍ରଥମ ରେ ଥିବା କେତକେ ଲୋକ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ରେ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଶଷେ ରେ ରହିବେ।'

Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last."
31
ସହେି ସମୟରେ କେତକେ ଫାରୂଶୀ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଏଠାରୁ ଚାଲିଯାଇ ଲୁଚିଯାଆନ୍ତୁ। ହରେୋଦ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ମାରିଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ଚାହୁଁଛନ୍ତି।

On that same day, some Pharisees came, saying to him, "Get out of here, and go away, for Herod wants to kill you."
32
ଯୀଶୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ଯାଅ, ସହେି କୋକିଶିଆଳିକୁ କୁହ, 'ଆଜି ଓ ଆସନ୍ତା କାଲି ମୁଁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଦହରେୁ ଭୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ତଡି ଦେଉଛି ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିବା କାମ ସାରି ଦେଉଛି। ତା'ପର ଦିନ ମାରେ କାମ ସରିୟିବ।

He said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.
33
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଏସବୁ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଆଜି ଓ ଆସନ୍ତା କାଲି ନିଶ୍ଚୟ କରିବି। ତା'ପରେ ମୁଁ ୟିବି। କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ମରନ୍ତି।
33
Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it can't be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.'

ୟିରୂଶାଲମ! ହେ ୟିରୂଶାଲମ! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରୁଛ। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡି ମାରି ଦଇେଛ। ମୁଁ ଅନକେ ଥର ତୁମ୍ଭ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହିଁଛି। ଗୋଟିଏ କୁକୁଡା ତାର ପକ୍ଷତଳେ କୁକୁଡାଛୁଆମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି କରିବାଭଳି ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି କରିବାକୁ ଚାହିଁଥିଲି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ତାହା କରଇେ ଦଲନୋହିଁ।

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused!
35
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଘର ପୂରାପୂରି ଖାଲି ଛାଡି ଦିଆୟିବ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଛି, ଯେଉଁ ସମୟ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହି କଥା ନକହିବ, 'ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମ ରେ ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଆସନ୍ତି, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରନ୍ତୁ' , ' ସହେି ସମୟ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଦେଖି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।'
