1ଏହାପରେ ଆୟୁବ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଇେ କହିଲା, ଯଦି ମାରଦେୁଃଖ ଓଜନ କରାୟାଇ ପାରନ୍ତା।
1Then Job answered,
2ଯଦି ମାରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଦୁର୍ଗତି ତରାଜୁର ଏକ ପାଖ ରେ ରଖା ୟାଆନ୍ତା,
2"Oh that my anguish were weighed, And all my calamity laid in the balances!
3ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ଦୁଃଖକୁ ବୁଝି ପାରନ୍ତ। ମାରେ ଦୁଃଖ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ସମସ୍ତ ବାଲିଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ଭାରୀ ହୁଅନ୍ତା। ତେଣୁ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମାରେ କଥାସବୁ ମୂର୍ଖାମୀ ବୋଲି ଜଣା ପଡ଼ୁଛି।
3For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas, Therefore have my words been rash.
4ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ, ତାଙ୍କର ବାଣସବୁ ମାେ ଅନ୍ତରକୁ ବିଦ୍ଧ କରୁଛି। ମାରେ ଆତ୍ମା ସହେି ବାଣର ବିଷକୁ ପାନ କରୁଛି। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମାରାତ୍ମକ ଅସ୍ତ୍ରଶସ୍ତ୍ର ସବୁ ମାରେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଧାଡ଼ି ରେ ସଜାଇ ରଖାୟାଇଛି।
4For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, My spirit drinks up their poison. The terrors of God set themselves in array against me.
5ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ଯସବୁ କହିବାକୁ ସହଜ, ଯେ ତବେଳେ କିଛି ଅଘଟଣ ଘଟି ନ ଥାଏ। ଏପରିକି ଗୋଟିଏ ବଣୁଆ ଗଧ ମଧ୍ଯ କିଛି ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରେ ନାହିଁ ଯେ ତବେଳେ ସେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଘାସ ଖାଇବାକୁ ପାଏ ଏବଂ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗାଈ ମଧ୍ଯ କିଛି ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ତା' ନିକଟରେ ତା' ନିଜର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଥାଏ।
5Does the wild donkey bray when he has grass? Or does the ox low over his fodder?
6ଲବଣ ବିନା ଖାଦ୍ୟ ସ୍ବାଦିଷ୍ଟ ଲାଗେ ନାହିଁ। ଅଣ୍ଡାର ଧଳା ଲାଳର ଯମେିତି କୌଣସି ସ୍ବାଦ ନ ଥାଏ।
6Can that which has no flavor be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
7ମୁଁ ତାକୁ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କହିବାକୁ ମନାକରେ କାରଣ ସେପ୍ରକାର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ମାେତେ ରୋଗୀଣା କରି ପକାଏ। ସହେିଭଳି ତୁମ୍ଭର କଥାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମୁଁ ଅନୁଭବ କରୁଛି।
7My soul refuses to touch them; They are as loathsome food to me.
8ମୁଁ ଚାହୁଁଛି, ମୁଁ ଯାହା ମାଗିଛି ତାହା ମୁଁ ପାଆନ୍ତି। ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛାକରେ ଯାହା ମାରେ ଦରକାର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେତେ ଦବେେ।
8"Oh that I might have my request; That God would grant the thing that I long for!
9ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେତେ ଦଳି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଅ ଓ ମାରି ଦିଅ।
9Even that it would please God to crush me; That he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
10ଯଦି ସେ ତାହା କରି ମାେତେ ମାରି ଦିଅନ୍ତେ, ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଅନ୍ତତଃ ସାନ୍ତ୍ବନା ପାଆନ୍ତି, ଏହି ନିଷ୍ଠୁର ୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ମଧିଅରେ ମୁଁ ଆନନ୍ଦ ପାଆନ୍ତି କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସହେି ପବିତ୍ର ଜଣଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ଆଜ୍ଞାକୁ ମୁଁ ଅବମାନନା କରି ନାହିଁ।
10Be it still my consolation, Yes, let me exult in pain that doesn't spare, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
11ମାରେ କ'ଣ ଶକ୍ତି ବାକି ରହିଛି ଯେ ମୁଁ ଆଶା କରିବି ? ମୁଁ ଜାଣନୋ ମାରେ କ'ଣ ହବୋକୁ ଯାଉଛି। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମାରେ ର୍ଧୈୟ୍ଯ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ କୌଣସି କାରଣ ନାହିଁ।
11What is my strength, that I should wait? What is my end, that I should be patient?
12ମୁଁ ପଥର ଭଳି ଶକ୍ତ ନୁହେଁ। ମାରେ ମାଂସ ତମ୍ବା ରେ ତିଆରି ନୁହେଁ।
12Is my strength the strength of stones? Or is my flesh of brass?
13ନିଜକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ମାରେଶକ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତ ସଫଳତା ମାଠାରୁେ କାଢ଼ି ନିଆୟାଇଛି।
13Isn't it that I have no help in me, That wisdom is driven quite from me?
14ଜଣେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିର ସାଙ୍ଗମାନେ ତା'ର କଷ୍ଟ ସମୟରେ ତାକୁ ଦୟା କରିବା କଥା, ଯଦିଓ ସେ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୁଏ।
14"To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; Even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
15କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ଭାଇମାନେ ମାେ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ନୁହଁ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରିପାରିବି ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଝରଣା ପରି ସମୟ ସମୟରେ ବହୁଥାଅ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମୟରେ ନୁହଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ଉଛୁଳିବା ଝରଣାପରି।
15My brothers have dealt deceitfully as a brook, As the channel of brooks that pass away;
16କେତବେେଳେ ବରଫ ରେ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି ହାଇୟୋଏ ଏବଂ ବରଫ ତରଳି ୟାଏ।
16Which are black by reason of the ice, In which the snow hides itself:
17କିନ୍ତୁ ସେତବେେଳେ ପାଗ ଉତ୍ତପ୍ତ ଓ ଶୁଖିଲା ଥାଏ ଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ବନ୍ଦ ହୁଏ।
17In the dry season, they vanish. When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
18ବ୍ଯବସାଯୀ ତାଙ୍କ ପଥରୁ ପାଣି ଖାଜେିବ ପାଇଁ ବିମୁଖ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ମରୁଭୂମିକୁ ଚାଲିୟାଆନ୍ତି ଓ ହଜିୟାଆନ୍ତି।
18The caravans that travel beside them turn aside; They go up into the waste, and perish.
19ମାରେ ବ୍ଯବସାଯୀ ପାଣିର ଅନ୍ବଷେଣ କଲେ। ଶିବାର ପଥିକଗଣ ଆଶାକରି ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି।
19The caravans of Tema looked, The companies of Sheba waited for them.
20ସମାନେେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଥିଲେ ଯେ ସମାନେେ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ପାଣି ପାଇବେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଶଷେ ରେ ସମାନେେ ନିରାଶ ହେଲେ।
20They were distressed because they were confident; They came there, and were confounded.
21ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ଷୋର୍ତଭଳି କିଛି ନୁହଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ବିପଦ ଦେଖି ଭୟଭୀତ ହେଉଅଛ କି ?
21For now you are nothing. You see a terror, and are afraid.
22ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ମାଗିଛି କି ? ନାଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ବଇଚ୍ଛା ରେ ମାେତେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଉଅଛ।
22Did I say, 'Give to me?' Or, 'Offer a present for me from your substance?'
23ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିଛି କି ? ' ମାେତେ ଶତ୍ରୁ କବଳରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କର। ମାେତେ ନିଷ୍ଠୁର ଲୋକଙ୍କ କବଳରୁ ବଞ୍ଚାଅ।'
23Or, 'Deliver me from the adversary's hand?' Or, 'Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?'
24ମାେତେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅ। ତା' ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ମୁଁ ନିରବ ରହିବି। ମାେତେ କୁହ ମୁଁ କ'ଣ ଭୁଲ କରୁଛି।
24"Teach me, and I will hold my peace; Cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
25ସାଧୁ ବାକ୍ଯ ବଡ଼ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ୟୁକ୍ତି କିଛି ପ୍ରମାଣ କରୁନାହିଁ।
25How forcible are words of uprightness! But your reproof, what does it reprove?
26ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ମାେତେ ସମାଲୋଚନା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା କରୁଛ ଯେ, ବିନା କୌଣସି ଆଶାର ବକ୍ତା ପବନ ପରି ଅଟେ।
26Do you intend to reprove words, Seeing that the speeches of one who is desperate are as wind?
27ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅନାଥଙ୍କର ଜିନିଷ ଜିତିବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଗୁଳାବାଣ୍ଟ କରିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର ବନ୍ଧୁକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ବିକ୍ରି କରିଦବେ।
27Yes, you would even cast lots for the fatherless, And make merchandise of your friend.
28ଏବେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ମୁହଁ ଦେଖି କୁହ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମିଛ କହିବି? ନା !
28Now therefore be pleased to look at me, For surely I shall not lie to your face.
29ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମନ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କର ଓ ପକ୍ଷପାତ କର ନାହିଁ। ପୁନର୍ବାର ବିଚାର କର ମୁଁ ନିରୀହ ଅଟେ।
29Please return. Let there be no injustice; Yes, return again, my cause is righteous.
30ମୁଁ ମିଛ କହୁନାହିଁ ।ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ କେଉଁଟି ଭଲ ଓ ମନ୍ଦ।
30Is there injustice on my tongue? Can't my taste discern mischievous things?
