1ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା କିଛି କହୁଛୁ, ତାର ସାର ମର୍ମ ହେଲା ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଏଭଳି ଜଣେ ମହାୟାଜକ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଯେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପାଶର୍‌ବ ରେ ବସି ଅଛନ୍ତି।
1Now in the things which we are saying, the main point is this. We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
2ଆମ୍ଭର ମହାୟାଜକ ମହାପବିତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନ311 ରେ ସବୋ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରନ୍ତି। ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ନିର୍ମିତ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ନିର୍ମିତ ସହେି ଉପାସନା ସ୍ଥଳ ରେ ସବୋ କରନ୍ତି।
2a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.
3ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ ଓ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ମହାୟାଜକଙ୍କ କାମ ଅଟେ। ଅତଏବ ଆମ୍ଭର ମହାୟାଜକ ମଧ୍ଯ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା କଥା।
3For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this high priest also have something to offer.
4ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭର ମହାୟାଜକ ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ଏବେ ଜୀବିତ ଥାଆନ୍ତେ, ତା' ହେଲେ ସେ ଯାଜକ ହାଇେ ପାରି ନ ଥାନ୍ତେ। ମାରେ କହିବାର କାରଣ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଅନୁସାରେ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରୁଥିବା ଯାଜକମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
4For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law;
5ଏହି ଯାଜକମାନେ ଯେଉଁ କାମ କରନ୍ତି, ତାହା ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗ ରେ ଥିବା କାମଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଛାଯା ଓ ନମୁନା ମାତ୍ର। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମାଶାେ ତମ୍ମୁ312 ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଗଲା ବେଳେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଚତାବେନୀ ଦଇେ କହିଥିଲେ : ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ନମୁନା ଦଖାଇେ ଥିଲି, ତଦନୁସା ରେ ସମସ୍ତ ନିର୍ମାଣ କର।313
5who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, "See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain."
6କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ କାମ କରିବାକୁ ଦିଆ ହାଇେଛି ତାହା ସହେି ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ କାମଠାରୁ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟତର। ସେପ୍ରକା ରେ, ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ଯମ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆପଣା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କରିଥିବା ନୂତନ ନିୟମ ପୁରାତନ ନିୟମ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟ ଅଟେ। ଏହି ନୂତନ ନିୟମ ଅପେକ୍ଷାକୃତ ଉତ୍ତମ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ସମ୍ବଳିତ ଅଟେ।
6But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.
7ଯଦି ପ୍ରଥମ ନିୟମ ରେ କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ ନ ଥାନ୍ତା ତା' ହେଲେ ସଠାେରେ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ନିୟମର ଆବଶ୍ଯକତା ନ ଥାନ୍ତା।
7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
8କିନ୍ତୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠା ରେ ତୃଟି ଦେଖିଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହିଲେ :
8For finding fault with them, he said, "Behold, the days come," says the Lord, "That I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;
9ତାହାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ନିୟମ କରିଥିଲୁ ସେ ଅନୁସାରେ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। ସହେି ନିୟମ ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ହାତ ଧରିଲା ବେଳେ ଓ ମିଶର ଦେଶରୁ ଆଣିଥିଲା ବେଳେ କରିଥିଲି। ପ୍ରଭୁ କୁହନ୍ତି : ମୁଁ ଦଇେଥିବା ଚୁକ୍ତି ସମାନେେ ପାଳନ କରିବା ବନ୍ଦ କରି ଦେଲେ, ଓ ମୁଁ ନିଜକୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେଠାରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ଆଣିଲି।
9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; For they didn't continue in my covenant, And I disregarded them," says the Lord.
10ଏହି ନୂତନ ନିୟମଟି ମୁଁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହତ କରିବି, ଏହି ନିୟମଟି ମୁଁ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ରେ କରିବି ପ୍ରଭୁ କୁହନ୍ତି : ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମନ ରେ ଆପଣା ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଦବେି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ହୃଦୟ ରେ ସହେିସବୁ ଲେଖିବି। ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହବେି, ଓ ସମାନେେ ମାରେ ଲୋକ ହବେେ।
10"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days," says the Lord; "I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be to them a God, And they will be to me a people.
11ଏହାପରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର କହେି ନଜ ଭାଇ ବା ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ଯଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦବେେ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ କିଛି କହିବା ଆବଶ୍ଯକ ହବେ ନାହିଁ, କାହିଁକି ? କାରଣ ସାନଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମାେତେ ଜାଣିବେ।
11They will not teach every man his fellow citizen, Every man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' For all will know me, From the least of them to the greatest of them.
12ଓ ମାେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କରିଥିବା ଦୋଷ ସବୁ ମୁଁ କ୍ଷମା କରି ଦବେି, ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପାପଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଆଉ ଅଧିକ ମନେ ରଖିବି ନାହିଁ। ୟିରିମିୟ 31:31-34
12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more."
13ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହାକୁ ନୂତନ ନିୟମ ବୋଲି କହି, ପ୍ରଥମ ନିୟମଟିକୁ ପୁରାତନ ନିୟମ କରି ଅଛନ୍ତି। ଯେଉଁ ବିଷୟସବୁ ପୁରାତନ ଓ ଅକାମୀ ହାଇଯୋଇଛି, ତାହା ଅତିଶୀଘ୍ର ଲୋପ ପାଇୟିବ।
13In that he says, "A new covenant," he has made the first old. But that which is becoming old and grows aged is near to vanishing away.
