ମାଶାେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହା କହିଲେ। ଯେତବେେଳେ ସୂଫ ସପୋରିସ୍ଥିତ ପାରଣ, ତାଫେଲ, ଲାବନ, ହତ୍େସରୋତ୍ ଓ ଦୀଷାହବର ମଧିଅରେ ସମାନେେ ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ପୂର୍ବପାରସ୍ଥିତ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ପାର ହେଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ମାଶାେ ଏହି ବାର୍ତ୍ତାସବୁ କହିଥିଲେ।

These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah over against Suph, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

ସଯେୀର ପର୍ବତ ଦଇେ ହାରେବଠାେରକ୍ସ୍ଟ କାଦେଶ-ବର୍ଣଯେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ୟାତ୍ରା ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଏଗାର ଦିନ ଲାଗେ।

It is eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea.

କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହାଥିଲା ଚାଳିଶତମ ବର୍ଷର ଏକାଦଶ ମାସର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନ ରେ ମାଶାେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ଯମାନ କହିଥିଲେ।

It happened in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the children of Israel, according to all that Yahweh had given him in commandment to them;

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ହିଷ୍ବୋନ ନିବାସୀ ଇ ମାରେୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ରାଜା ସୀହାନକେୁ ଓ ଅଷ୍ଠାରୋତ୍ ନିବାସୀ ବାଶନର ରାଜା ଓଗକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଇଦ୍ରିଯୀ ରେ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲାପରେ।

after he had struck Sihon the king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, who lived in Ashtaroth, at Edrei.

ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ପୂର୍ବପାରି ରେ ଥିଲେ, ଯାହାକି ମାୟୋବ ଦେଶ ରେ ଥିଲା ଏବଂ ମାଶାେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ବାଖ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।

Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହାରେବେ ରେ କହିଥିଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, 'ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହି ପର୍ବତ ରେ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ସମୟ ବାସ କରି ଅଛ।

Yahweh our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, You have lived long enough in this mountain:

ଇମାରେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ପର୍ବତ ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ଦେଶର ପଡ଼ୋଶୀ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଗୁଡିକୁ ୟାଅ, ପର୍ବତମଯ ଦେଶ, ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନର ଉପତ୍ୟକାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତଳଭୂମି, ମରକ୍ସ୍ଟଭୂମି ଏବଂ ସମକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ର ଉପକୂଳ ସମତେ କିଣାନୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତଦେଶ ଓ ଲିବାନୋନ୍ ଦଇେ ଫରାତ ନଦୀ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ୟାଅ।

turn you, and take your journey, and go to the hill-country of the Amorites, and to all the places near thereunto, in the Arabah, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and in the South, and by the sea-shore, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.

ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦେଶ ଦଇେଅଛୁ, ଏହାସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର, ୟାଅ ଏବଂ ଏହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଧିକାର କର। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ୟାଥ: ଅବ୍ରହାମ, ଇସହାକ୍ ଓ ୟାକୁବକୁ ଏହା ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ବଂଶଧରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦେଶମାନ ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ।'

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their seed after them.

ମାଶାେ କହିଲେ, ସେ ସମୟରେ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି, ମୁ ଏକା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭଲ ମନ୍ଦ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଝିପାରିବି ନାହିଁ।

I spoke to you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସଂଖ୍ଯା ବେଶୀ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସଂଖ୍ଯା ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିଛନ୍ତି, ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆକାଶର ତାରାମାନଙ୍କ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟଲ୍ଯ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ।

Yahweh your God has multiplied you, and, behold, you are this day as the stars of the sky for multitude.
11
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏବେ ଯେତେ ଅଛ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସହସ୍ରଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ କରନ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ସେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି, ସହେିପରି ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରନ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ।

Yahweh, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!

କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁ ଏକାକି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ଯା, ବିବାଦ ଓ ଭାର ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଝି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।

How can I myself alone bear your encumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?

ତେଣୁ ମୁ କହିଲି, 'ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀରୁ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଓ ବିଖ୍ଯାତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣଜଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାଛ। ମୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନେତା ରୂପେ ନିୟକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତି କରିବି। ଏହିପରି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନୋନୀତ କର, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧିମାନ, ବିଚାରଶୀଳ, ଜ୍ଞାନି ଓ ଅଭିଜ୍ଞ ହାଇେଥିବେ।'

Take wise men of understanding and well known according to your tribes, and I will make them heads over you.
14
ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହିଥିଲ, 'ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କରିବା ଭଲ।'

You answered me, and said, The thing which you have spoken is good for us to do.
15
ତେଣୁ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ସମୂହ ମଧ୍ଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜ୍ଞାନି ଓ ଅଭିଜ୍ଞ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନେତାରୂପେ ନିୟକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତି କଲି। ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସହସ୍ରପତି, ଶତପତି, ପଞ୍ଚାଶତପତି, ଦଶପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିୟକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତି କଲି, ଏବଂ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ପାଇଁ ଅଧ୍ଯକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ନିୟକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତି ଦଲେି।

So I took the heads of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties, and captains of tens, and officers, according to your tribes.
16
ସହେି ସମୟରେ, ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାରପତି ମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିଲି, 'ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ବିବାଦ ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ ଓ ତାହାର ଯଥାର୍ଥ୍ଯ ବିଚାରକର। ଏହା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ହେଉ ବା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଓ ବିଦେଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ହେଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର ନିରପେକ୍ଷ ହବେ।

I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brothers, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the foreigner who is living with him.
17
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ବିଚାର କରୁଛ ସେତବେେଳେ କୌଣସି ଲୋକକୁ ପ୍ରାଧାନ୍ଯ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ, ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମାନ ନ୍ଯାଯ ଦିଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହାରିକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭୟକର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଥାଏ। କିନ୍ତୁ କୌଣସି ବିଚାର ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କଷ୍ଟ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଏ ବା ଜଟିଳ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଏ, ତବେେ ସେ ସମସ୍ଯା ମାେ ପାଖକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିବ, ମୁ ତା'ର ସମାଧାନ କରି ଦବେି।'

You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.
18
ସହେି ସମୟରେ, ମୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭର କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ଯ ଓ କର୍ମ ବିଷଯ ରେ।

I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.

ଏହାପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ହାରେବେ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ଏବଂ ଇ ମାରେୀଯମାନଙ୍କର ପର୍ବତମଯ ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାତ୍ରା କଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେଉଁ ବିସ୍ତିର୍ଣ, ଯେଉଁ ଭୟଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ୟିବା ବାଟରେ ଦେଖିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ, ତା ମଧ୍ଯଦଇେ ୟାଇ କାଦେଶ ବର୍ଣଯେ ରେ ପହଁଞ୍ଚିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ।

We traveled from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, by the way to the hill-country of the Amorites, as Yahweh our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.
20
ଏହାପରେ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଇ ମାରେୀଯମାନଙ୍କର ପର୍ବତମଯ ଦେଶ ଦବେେ, ସହେିଠା ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏବେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ।

I said to you, You are come to the hill-country of the Amorites, which Yahweh our God gives to us.
21
ଦେଖ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଆଗ ରେ ସହେିଦେଶ ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି। ୟାଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ତାହା ଅଧିକାର କର। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ଏପରି କରିବାକୁ କହିଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭୟ କି ନାରାଶ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଅ ନାହିଁ।'

Behold, Yahweh your God has set the land before you: go up, take possession, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you; don't be afraid, neither be dismayed.
22
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେ ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଲ ଏବଂ କହିଲ, 'ଆସ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇବା, କିଏ ସହେି ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଗୋପନ ରେ ସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବ ଏବଂ ତଥ୍ଯ ଆଣିବ ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦବେ। କେଉଁ ପଥ ଦଇେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ୟିବା ପାଇଁ ଉଚିତ୍ ଏବଂ କେଉଁ ନଗରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ୟିବା ଉଚିତ୍।'

You came near to me everyone of you, and said, Let us send men before us, that they may search the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up, and the cities to which we shall come.
23
ମୁ ଭାବିଲି ଏହା ଏକ ଉତ୍ତମ ଧାରଣା ଥିଲା। ତେଣୁ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜଣେ ଜଣେ କରି ବାରଜଣଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାଛିଲି।

The thing pleased me well; and I took twelve men of you, one man for every tribe:
24
ଏହାପରେ ସମାନେେ ସହେି ପର୍ବତମଯ ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ ଓ ଇଷ୍କୋଲ ଉପତ୍ଯାକା ରେ ପହଁଞ୍ଚିଲେ ଏବଂ ସହେି ଦେଶ ରେ ଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଲ୍ଗ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରଖିଲେ।

and they turned and went up into the hill-country, and came to the valley of Eshcol, and spied it out.
25
ସମାନେେ କିଛି ଫଳଧରି ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ଦେଶ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦେଶ ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି।'

They took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which Yahweh our God gives to us.
26
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେ ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମନା କରିଦଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହ ଚରଣ କଲ।

Yet you wouldn't go up, but rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God:
27
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆପଣାର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ବୁକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଇ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରି କହିଲ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଇ ମାରେୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରି ବିନାଶ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏଠାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଛନ୍ତି।

and you murmured in your tents, and said, Because Yahweh hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
28
ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କେଉଁଠାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବା? ଆମ୍ଭର ଭାଇମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମନ ରେ ତଥ୍ଯ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରି ଭୟ ସଂଚାର କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ସଠାେକାର ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବଳବାନ ଓ ଦୀର୍ଘ୍ଯକାଯ। ତାଙ୍କର ନଗରମାନ ବୃହତ ଏବଂ ତା'ର ପ୍ରାଚୀରଗୁଡିକୁ ଆକାଶ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରିଛି। ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଠାେରେ ଅନାକୀଯମାନଙ୍କର ଦୀର୍ଘ୍ଯକାଯ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ।'

Where are we going up? our brothers have made our heart to melt, saying, The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to the sky; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.
29
ତେଣୁ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି, 'ତ୍ରାସ କର ନାହିଁ କି ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ।

Then I said to you, Don't dread, neither be afraid of them.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆଗେଆଗେ ଗମନ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ମିଶର ରେ ଯେପରି କରିଥିଲେ, ଏହିଠା ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେିପରି କରିବେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ।

Yahweh your God who goes before you, he will fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,
31
ମରକ୍ସ୍ଟଭୂମିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଦେଖିଅଛ, ମନକ୍ସ୍ଟଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ବୋହିବାପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହିଠା ରେ ପହଁଞ୍ଚିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଗମନର ସମସ୍ତ ପଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କିପରି ବୋହିଛନ୍ତି।'

and in the wilderness, where you have seen how that Yahweh your God bore you, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.

କିନ୍ତୁ ତଥାପି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କଲ ନାହିଁ।

Yet in this thing you didn't believe Yahweh your God,
33
ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ୟାତ୍ରା କରୁଥିଲ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ୟାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ତମ୍ବୁ ପକାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ, ସ୍ଥାନ ନରକ୍ସ୍ଟପଣ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥ ଦଖାଇବୋ ପାଇଁ ସେ ରାତ୍ର ରେ ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା, ଦିନ ରେ ମେଘସ୍ତମ୍ଭଦ୍ବାରା ଗମନ କଲେ।

who went before you in the way, to seek you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ, ଏବଂ କୋରଧ କଲେ। ସେ ଦୃଢ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରି କହିଲେ।

Yahweh heard the voice of your words, and was angry, and swore, saying,
35
'ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦେଶ ଦବୋକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲି, ଏହି ସହେି ଦେଶ। ଏହି ପୀଢୀର ଦୃଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ କବେେ ସହେି ଦେଶ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ।

Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see the good land, which I swore to give to your fathers,
36
କବଳେ ୟିଫକ୍ସ୍ଟନ୍ନିର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର କାଲେବ୍ ସହେି ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦେଖିବେ। ମୁ କାଲବକେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସହେିଦେଶ ଦବେି, ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦଇେ ସେ ଗଲା। ତାଙ୍କର ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ବଂଶଧରମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାହା ପାଇବେ। କାରଣ କାଲବେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ସଐୂର୍ଣଭାବରେ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସରଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।'

save Caleb the son of Jephunneh: he shall see it; and to him will I give the land that he has trodden on, and to his children, because he has wholly followed Yahweh.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମାେ ଉପରେ କୋରଧିତ ହେଲେ। ସେ ମାେତେ କହିଲେ, ' ମାଶାେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

Also Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, saying, You also shall not go in there:
38
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସହକର୍ମୀ ପରିଚାରକ ନୂନର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ। ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସାହାସ ଦିଅ। ଯେ ହତେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତାଙ୍କର ଭୂମିକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଧିକାର କରାଇବ।'

Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there: encourage you him; for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
39
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, 'ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହକ୍ସ୍ଟଥିଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିଲାମାନେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଟିତ ହବେେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସହେି ପିଲାମାନେ ସହେି ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯିବେ ଏବଂ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ଦବୋ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୋଷ ଦବୋ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୋଷ ପାଇଁ, କାରଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଭଲମନ୍ଦ ବିଚାର କରିବାର ଜ୍ଞାନ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ସାନ, ସମାନେେ ଠିକ୍ ଭୂଲ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଝିପାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସହେିଦେଶ ସବୁ ଦବେ।

Moreover your little ones, whom you said should be a prey, and your children, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there, and to them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
40
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟଫ ସମକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ର ପଥଦଇେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେିୟାଅ।'

But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.
41
ଏହାପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କହିଲ, ' ମାଶାେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପାପ କରିଅଛକ୍ସ୍ଟ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି, ସହେିପରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କରିବା।' ଏହାପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜ ନିଜର ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧଅସ୍ତ୍ର ଧରି ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଭାବିଲ ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯମଯ ଦେଶ ଅଧିକାର କରିବାକୁ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟବିଧା ହବେ।

Then you answered and said to me, We have sinned against Yahweh, we will go up and fight, according to all that Yahweh our God commanded us. You girded on every man his weapons of war, and were forward to go up into the hill-country.
42
କିନ୍ତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ କହିଲେ, 'ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନାକର ସଠାେକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଇ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ। କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ୟିବକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନାହିଁ, ତେଣୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶତୃମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବେ।'

Yahweh said to me, Tell them, Don't go up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest you be struck before your enemies.
43
ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହା କହିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେ କଥା ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣିଲ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆଦେଶ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହ କଲ। ନିଜ ବଳ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଚଢିଲ।

So I spoke to you, and you didn't listen; but you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh, and were presumptuous, and went up into the hill-country.
44
କିନ୍ତୁ ଇ ମାରେୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ୟିଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ବାହାରି ପଡିଲେ ଓ ସମାନେେ ମହକ୍ସ୍ଟମାଛି ପରି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତଡି ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଯେୀରର ହର୍ମା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ।

The Amorites, who lived in that hill-country, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and beat you down in Seir, even to Hormah.

ଏହାପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେି ଆସ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କଲ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

You returned and wept before Yahweh; but Yahweh didn't listen to your voice, nor gave ear to you.
46
ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କାଦେଶ ରେ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟଦିନ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରହିଲ।

So you abode in Kadesh many days, according to the days that you abode there.
