ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ବେଲ୍ଟଶତ୍ସରଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ବର ପ୍ରଥମ ବର୍ଷ ରେ ଦାନିୟେଲ ଆପଣା ଶୟ୍ଯା ଉପ ରେ ସ୍ବପ୍ନ ଓ ମାନସିକ ଦର୍ଶନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ। ସେ ସହେି ସ୍ବପ୍ନ ରେ ସାରକଥା ଲେଖି ରଖିଲେ।

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head on his bed: then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.

ଦାନିୟେଲ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳ ରେ ମାରେ ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଲି ଯେ ମହାସମୁଦ୍ର ଉପ ରେ ଆକାଶର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରୁ ବାଯୁ ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ତ ବଗେ ରେ ବହିଲା ସହେି ବାଯୁ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ଅଶାନ୍ତ କଲା।

Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the sky broke forth on the great sea.

ପୁଣି ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି, ଗ୍ଭରି ଭିନ୍ନ ପ୍ରକାରର ବୃହତ୍ ପଶୁ ସମୁଦ୍ରରୁ ଉଠି ଆସିଲେ।

Four great animals came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

ପ୍ରଥମ ପଶୁଟି ସିଂହ ସଦୃଶ ଓ ଉତ୍କ୍ରୋଷ ପକ୍ଷୀର ଡଣୋପରି ତା'ର ଡଣୋ ଥିଲା। ମୁଁ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରି ଦେଖିଲି, ତା'ର ଡଣୋ ଉପୁଡାଗଲା। ଆଉ ସେ ପୃଥିବୀରୁ ଉଠାଗଲା। ମନୁଷ୍ଯପରି ଦୁଇ ପାଦ ରେ ତାକୁ ଠିଆ କରାଗଲା ଓ ତାକୁ ମନୁଷ୍ଯର ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ଦିଆଗଲା।

The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I saw until the wings of it were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand on two feet as a man; and a man's heart was given to it.

ଆଉ ତତ୍ପ ରେ ମାେ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ପଶୁକୁ ଦେଖିଲି ଯେ କି ଏକ ଭଲ୍ଲୁକ ସଦୃଶ ଥିଲା। ସେ ଏକ ପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ଉଠାଗଲା ଓ ତାହାର ସୁଖ ରେ ଦନ୍ତ ମଧିଅରେ ତିନିଖଣ୍ତ ପଞ୍ଜରା ଥିଲା। ତାହାକୁ ଏହି କଥା କୁହାଗଲା, 'ଉଠ, ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁସାରେ ମାଂସ ଭକ୍ଷଣ କର।'

Behold, another animal, a second, like a bear; and it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth: and they said thus to it, Arise, devour much flesh.

ଏହାପ ରେ ମୁଁ ତୃତୀୟ ପଶୁକୁ ଦେଖିଲି, ସେ ଚିତାବାଘ ସଦୃଶ ଥିଲା। ତା'ର ପୃଷ୍ଠ ଭାଗ ରେ ପକ୍ଷୀର ଗ୍ଭରିଡଣୋ ଥିଲା। ଆଉ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାହାର ଗ୍ଭରି ମସ୍ତକ ଥିଲା ଓ ତାକୁ ଶାସନ କରିବାକୁ ଅଧିକାର ଦିଆଗଲା।

After this I saw, and, behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the animal had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

ଏହାପ ରେ ମୁଁ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳର ଦର୍ଶନ ରେ ଦେଖିଲି, ମାରେ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପଶୁ ଥିଲା। ସେ ଅତି ଭୟଙ୍କର, କ୍ଷମତାସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ଓ ଅତିଶଯ ବଳବାନ୍ ଥିଲା ଓ ତାହାର ବଡ ବଡ ଲୌହର ଦାନ୍ତ ଥିଲା। ସେ ଦୋଷୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା ଓ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲା। ଆଉ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଯାହା ରହିଲା ତାହା ପଦତଳେ ଦଳିତ କଲା। ସେ ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସବୁ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ଥିଲା ଓ ତାହାର ଦଶଟି ଶିଙ୍ଗ ଥିଲା।

After this I saw in the night-visions, and, behold, a fourth animal, awesome and powerful, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet: and it was diverse from all the animals that were before it; and it had ten horns.

ସହେି ଶିଙ୍ଗଗୁଡିକ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଚିନ୍ତା କରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ, ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ଶିଙ୍ଗ ଉଠିବାର ଦେଖିଲି। ତାହା କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ଥିଲା ଓ ଏହା ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଶିଙ୍ଗମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ତିନି ଗୋଟି ଶିଙ୍ଗକୁ ସମୂଳେ ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ କଲା। ଏହାର ମନୁଷ୍ଯର ଚକ୍ଷୁତୁଲ୍ଯ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଥିଲା ଓ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ଶିଙ୍ଗ ରେ ଏକ ପାଟି ଥିଲା। ସହେି ପାଟିଟି ଅହଂକାରପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଥା କହୁଥିଲା।

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ସିଂହାସନ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ହେଉଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲି। ଅତି ବୃଦ୍ଧାଲୋକ ସହେି ଉପ ରେ ବସିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ହିମତୁଲ୍ଯ ଶୁକ୍ଲବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ମସ୍ତକର କେଶ ମଷେଲୋମ ସଦୃଶ ଶୁଭ୍ର ଥିଲା। ତାଙ୍କର ସିଂହାସନ ଅଗ୍ନିମଯପରି ଓ ସିଂହାସନର ଚକସବୁ ଜ୍ବଳନ୍ତା ଅଗ୍ନି ଶିଖା, ସଦୃଶ ଥିଲା।

I saw until thrones were placed, and one who was ancient of days sat: his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and the wheels of it burning fire.

ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଅଗ୍ନିଷୋର୍ତ ନିର୍ଗତ ହାଇେ ବହିଲା ଓ ସହସ୍ର ସହସ୍ର ଲୋକ ତାଙ୍କର ଗ୍ଭରିପଟେ ଛିଡା ହେଲେ। ବିଗ୍ଭର ସଭା ବସିଲା ଓ ପୁସ୍ତକମାନ ଖାେଲାଗଲା।

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
11
ମୁଁ ଦେଖିବା ରେ ଲାଗିଲି, ସହେି େଛାଟ ଶିଙ୍ଗର କଣ ହବେ। ଯେଉଁଟାକି ବହୁତ ଅହଂକାର କରୁଥିଲା। ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପଶୁଟି ମଲା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଏବଂ ତାହାର ଶରୀର ଧ୍ବଂସ କରି ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧ୍ଯକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ପାଉଁଶ କରି ଦିଆଗଲା।

I saw at that time because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke; I saw even until the animal was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given to be burned with fire.

ପୁଣି ଅନ୍ୟ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଧିକାର ଓ କତ୍ତୁର୍ତ୍ବ କାଢି ନିଆଗଲା। ମାତ୍ର କିଛି କାଳ ଏକ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ସମୟ ବଞ୍ଚି ରହିବାକୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦିଆଗଲା।

As for the rest of the animals, their dominion was taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
13
ଆଉ ମୁଁ ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ଦର୍ଶନ ରେ ଦେଖିଲି, ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ସଦୃଶ କହେି ଆକାଶ ରେ ମେଘ ରେ ଆସିଲେ। ଏବଂ ସେ ଆକାଶର ମେଘଖଣ୍ତ ଉପ ରେ ସହେି ବୃଦ୍ଧଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।

I saw in the night-visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14
ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କତ୍ତୁର୍ତ୍ବ, ମହିମା ଓ ରାଜ୍ଯ ପ୍ରଦତ୍ତ ହେଲା। ତେଣୁ ସମୁଦାଯ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ, ଦେଶବାସୀ ଓ ଭାଷାବାଦୀମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ଉପାସନା କରିବେ। ତାଙ୍କର ବିଧି ଅନନ୍ତକାଳୀନ ଓ ତାହା ଲୁପ୍ତ ହବେନାହିଁ। ଆଉ ତାଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ଯ ଅବିନାଶୀ ହବେ।
14
There was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
15
ମୁଁ ଦାନିୟେଲ ଦ୍ବନ୍ଦ ରେ ପଡିଲି ଓ ବ୍ଯସ୍ତ ହାଇଗଲିେ। ଆଉ ମାରେ ମାନସିକ ଦର୍ଶନ ମାେତେ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ କଲା।
15
As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16
ସଠାେ ରେ ଛିଡା ହାଇେଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଜଣକ ନିକଟକୁ ୟାଇ ଏସବୁ ତଥ୍ଯ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲି। ତେଣୁ ସେ ମାେତେ ସେ ସବୁର ଅର୍ଥ ବୁଝାଇ କହିଲେ।
16
I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth concerning all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17
' ସହେି ଗ୍ଭରି ବୃହତ ପଶୁ ଗ୍ଭରି ରାଜା ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହବେେ।
17
These great animals, which are four, are four kings, who shall arise out of the earth.
18
ମାତ୍ର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନେ ରାଜ୍ଯ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହବେେ ଓ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଭୋଗ କରିବେ।'
18
But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.
19
ତା'ପ ରେ ମୁଁ ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପଶୁ ସମ୍ମନ୍ଧ ରେ ସମସ୍ତ ତଥ୍ଯ ଜାଣିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲି। ଏହା ଅତି ଭୟଙ୍କର ଥିଲା ଓ ଏହାର ଲୁହାର ଦାନ୍ତ ଓ ପିତ୍ତଳ ନଖସବୁ ଥିଲା। ସେ ସବୁକିଛି ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲା ଓ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା ଓ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସବୁ ପାଦ ରେ ଦଳି ଦଲୋ।

Then I desired to know the truth concerning the fourth animal, which was diverse from all of them, exceedingly terrible, whose teeth were of iron, and its nails of brass; which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet;
20
ସହେି ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପଶୁର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦଶ ଶିଙ୍ଗ ଥିଲା, ଅନ୍ୟ ଯେଉଁ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ଶିଙ୍ଗ ଉଠିଲା ଓ ଯାହା ସାକ୍ଷାତ ରେ ଦଶଶିଙ୍ଗ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ତିନିଶିଙ୍ଗ ପଡିଗଲା, ଯେଉଁ ଶିଙ୍ଗର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଓ ଅହଙ୍କାର ବାକ୍ଯବାଦି ମୁଖ ଥିଲା ଓ ଯାହାର ଆକାର ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦାମ୍ଭିକ ଥିଲା, ତାହାର ତଥ୍ଯ ଜାଣିବାକୁ ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲି।

and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke great things, whose look was more stout than its fellows.
21
ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି ସହେି ଶିଙ୍ଗ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲା ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବଧ କଲା।
21
I saw, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22
ତା'ପ ରେ ସହେି ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକଟି ଆସିଲେ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଓ ଶିଙ୍ଗ ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ନ୍ଯାଯ ହେଲା। ଆଉ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସହେି ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜତ୍ବ କରିବାର ସମୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା।

until the ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23
ଆଉ ସେ ମାେତେ ବୁଝାଇ କହିଲେ, 'ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପଶୁ ପୃଥିବୀର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ରାଜ୍ଯ ହବେ, ତାହା ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ଯଠାରୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ହବେ ଓ ସମୁଦାଯ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ। ଆଉ ପାଦ ରେ ଦଳି ଖଣ୍ତ ଖଣ୍ତ କରି ତାହା ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇବ।

Thus he said, The fourth animal shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be diverse from all the kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24
ପୁଣି ସହେି ଦଶ ଶିଙ୍ଗର ତାତ୍ପର୍ୟ୍ଯ ହେଉଛି ଯେ ସହେି ରାଜ୍ଯରୁ ଦଶ ରାଜା ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହବେେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ ରେ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହବେ ଓ ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ହବେ ଓ ସେ ତିନି ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଦମନ କରିବ।

As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings.
25
ଏବଂ ସେ ସର୍ବୋପରିସ୍ଥ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କଥା କହିବ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବ। ଆଉ ସେ ସମୟ ଓ ଆଜ୍ଞାର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବାକୁ ଚିନ୍ତା କରିବ। ସାଢେ ତିନିବର୍ଷ ପାଇଁ ସମାନେେ ତା' ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହବେେ।

He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
26
ମାତ୍ର ବିଗ୍ଭର ସଭା ବସିବ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କର କତ୍ତୃର୍ତ୍ବ କାଢି ନିଆୟିବ ଓ ରାଜ୍ଯ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବରେ ବିନାଶ ହବେ।
26
But the judgment shall be set, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end.
27
ଆଉ ରାଜତ୍ବ, କତ୍ତୃର୍ତ୍ବ ଓ ରାଜ୍ଯ ସମୂହର ମହିମା ସର୍ବୋପରିସ୍ଥ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦତ୍ତ ହବେ। ତାଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ଯ ଅନନ୍ତ କାଳ ପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥାଯୀ ହବେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଶାସକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ତାଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରିବେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହବେେ।'

The kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole the sky, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High: his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
28
ଏହିଠା ରେ ମାରେ ସ୍ବପ୍ନ ଶଷେ ହେଲା। ମୁଁ ଦାନିୟେଲ ମାରେ ଭାବନା ମାେତେ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ କଲା ଓ ମାରେ ମୁଖ ବିବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲା। ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ସେ କଥା ଅନ୍ୟ ଆଗ ରେ କହି ପାରିଲି ନାହିଁ।

Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts much troubled me, and my face was changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
