1ହିଜକିଯ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷଯ ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତତାର ସହିତ ସମାପ୍ତ କରିବା ପରେ ଏହିପରି ଘଟିଲା, ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଦୁର୍ଗଗୁଡ଼ିକର ବାହା ରେ ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। ସେ ସହେି ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବାର ଯୋଜନା କରିଥିବାରୁ ଏହିପରି କଲେ। ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ ନିଜ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହିସବୁ ସହର ଜଯ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଥିଲେ।
1After these things, and this faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fortified cities, and thought to win them for himself.
2ହିଜକିଯ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି।
2When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
3ଏହାପରେ ହିଜକିଯ ତାଙ୍କର ପଦାଧିକାରୀ ଓ ସନୋଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତ ନଗର ବାହା ରେ ଥିବା ଜଳନିର୍ଝରଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଜଳକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକମତ ହେଲେ। ସହେି ପଦାଧିକାରୀ ଓ ସନୋଧିକାରୀମାନେ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କଲେ।
3he took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the springs which were outside of the city; and they helped him.
4ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ଏକତ୍ର ଆସିଲେ ଓ ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦଇେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଥିବା ଝରଣା ଓ ନଦୀ ସବୁର ଜଳକୁ ରୋକି ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ ଯେ, ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆସିଲେ ବେଶୀ କିଛି ଜଳ ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
4So there was gathered much people together, and they stopped all the springs, and the brook that flowed through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
5ହିଜକିଯ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆହୁରି ଦୃଢ଼ କଲେ। ସେ ତାହା ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ ; ସେ ପ୍ରାଚୀରର ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥାନ ସବୁ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସେ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଉପରେ ଦୁର୍ଗ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସେ ପ୍ରଥମ ପ୍ରାଚୀରର ବାହ୍ଯ ଭାଗ ରେ ଆଉ ଏକ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଅଂଶର ପୂର୍ବକୁ ଏକ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ସ୍ଥାନ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସେ ଅନକେ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ଢ଼ାଲମାନ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
5He took courage, and built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, and the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.
6ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ନବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ହିଜକିଯ ୟୁଦ୍ଧର ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନୋନୀତ କଲେ। ନଗରଦ୍ବାର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଉନ୍ମୁକ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସେ ସହେି ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ,
6He set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the broad place at the gate of the city, and spoke comfortably to them, saying,
7ଦୃଢ଼ ଓ ସାହସୀ ହୁଅ। ଅଶୂର ରାଜା ଅଥବା ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିବା ବିଶାଳ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ବ୍ଯସ୍ତ ହୁଅ ନହିଁ। ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଶକ୍ତିଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆହୁରି ମହାନ୍ ଶକ୍ତି ଅଛି।
7Be strong and of good courage, don't be afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude who is with him; for there is a greater with us than with him:
8ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସହିତ କବଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଛନ୍ତି। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବେ। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ନିମନ୍ତେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ। ଏହିପରି ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଶକ୍ତିୟୁକ୍ତ କଲେ।
8with him is an arm of flesh; but with us is Yahweh our God to help us, and to fight our battles. The people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
9ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଲାଖୀଶ ସହର ନିକଟରେ ଛାଉଣୀ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ସମାନେେ ତାହାକୁ ଜଯ କରିପାରନ୍ତି। ଏହାପରେ ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍, ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଥିବା ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲା। ହିଜକିଯ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ସବୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ଙ୍କ ଭୃତ୍ଯର ଏକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଥିଲା।
9After this did Sennacherib king of Assyria send his servants to Jerusalem, (now he was before Lachish, and all his power with him,) to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah who were at Jerusalem, saying,
10ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ସନ୍ ହରେୀବ୍ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, 'ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କେଉଁ ବିଷଯ ରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରି ଆକ୍ରମଣ ସମୟରେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ରହୁଅଛ ?
10Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do you trust, that you abide the siege in Jerusalem?
11ହିଜକିଯ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତାରଣା କରୁଅଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେପରି କ୍ଷୁଧା ଓ ତୃଷା ରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କରିବ ; ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୌଶଳକ୍ରମେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ରଖାଯାଉଅଛି। ହିଜକିଯ ତୁମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ କ ହେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାର ହସ୍ତରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।
11Does not Hezekiah persuade you, to give you over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, Yahweh our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
12ହିଜକିଯ ନିଜେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ସବୁ ବାହାର କରି ଦଲୋ। ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନେ ! ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେ କହିଲା ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କବଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ଉପରେ ପୂଜା ଓ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଧୂପ ଜ୍ବଳାଇବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ।
12Has not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, You shall worship before one altar, and on it shall you burn incense?
13ମାରେ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ଓ ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ ଦେଶର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କ'ଣ କରିଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅବଶ୍ଯ ଜାଣ। ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ଦବେତାମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନିଜ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସହେି ଦବେତାମାନେ ମାେତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
13Don't you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any wise able to deliver their land out of my hand?
14ମାରେ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନେ ସହେି ଦେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ। ଏପରି କହେି ଦବେତା ନାହିଁ, ୟିଏ ମାେତେ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରୁ ରୋକି ପାରିବ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କ'ଣ ଭାବୁଛ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାେ'ଠାରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିପାରିବ ?
14Who was there among all the gods of those nations which my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?
15ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୂର୍ଖ ବନଇବୋ ଓ ପ୍ରତାରଣା କରିବାକୁ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ। ତାହାକୁ ଆଦୌ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ କୌଣସି ରାଜ୍ଯ ବା କୌଣସି ଦେଶ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାେ'ଠାରୁ ବା ମାରେପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିପାରି ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରୁ ମାେତେ ରୋକିପାରିବ, ଏହା ଆଦୌ ଭାବ ନାହିଁ।'
15Now therefore don't let Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you after this manner, neither believe you him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?
16ଅଶୂର ରାଜାର ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦାସ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆହୁରି ଜଘନ୍ଯ କଥାସବୁ କହିଲେ।
16His servants spoke yet more against Yahweh God, and against his servant Hezekiah.
17ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ଏପରି ପତ୍ରମାନ ଲେଖିଲା, ଯାହା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଅପମାନିତ କରୁଥିଲା। ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ସହେି ପତ୍ରଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଏହିପରି ଲେଖିଲା : ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ଦବେତାମାନେ ମାେତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରୁ ରୋକି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସହେିପ୍ରକା ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ହିଜକିଯର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେତେ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରୁ ରୋକିପାରିବ ନାର୍ହି।
17He wrote also letters, to rail on Yahweh, the God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of the lands, which have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall the God of Hezekiah not deliver his people out of my hand.
18ଏହାପରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାର ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଉପରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବର ରେ ଡାକିଲେ। ସହେି ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟଭୀତ କରାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହିପରି କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯେପରି ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଗରକୁ ହସ୍ତଗତ କରିପାରନ୍ତି, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସହେିସବୁ କଥା କହିଲେ।
18They cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.
19ସହେି ସବେକଗଣ ଏପରି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତ ନିର୍ମିତ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଅଟନ୍ତି।
19They spoke of the God of Jerusalem, as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men's hands.
20ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯ ଓ ଆମାେସ୍ଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତା ଯିଶାଇୟ ଏହି ସମସ୍ଯା ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧ ରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗ ପ୍ରତି ଅତି ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବର ରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ।
20Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried to heaven.
21ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଶୂର ରାଜାର ଛାଉଣୀକୁ ଜଣେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୂତଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ସହେି ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୂତ ଅଶୂରର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ, ନେତାଗଣ ଓ ସନୋଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ନିଜ ଗୃହକୁ ଓ ଦେଶକୁ ଫରେିଗଲା ଓ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନେ ତା' ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲଜ୍ଜା ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ। ସେ ତାହାର ଦବେତାର ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଗଲା ଓ ତା'ର ନିଜର ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ କେତଜେଣ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ତାହାକୁ ଏକ ଖଡ୍ଗ ରେ ବଧ କଲେ।
21Yahweh sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he was come into the house of his god, those who came forth from his own bowels killed him there with the sword.
22ଏହି ପ୍ରକା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ହିଜକିଯ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ସନ୍ ହେ ରୀବ୍ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କଲେ। ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାର ଧମକରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କଲେ।
22Thus Yahweh saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.
23ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଉପହାର ନଇେ ବହୁତ ଲୋକ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମୂଲ୍ଯବାନ୍ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମସ୍ତ ଦେଶର ଲୋକମାନେ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ କଲେ।
23Many brought gifts to Yahweh to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah; so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.
24ସହେି ଦିନମାନଙ୍କର ହିଜକିଯ ଗୁରୁତ୍ବର ଭାବରେ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ହେଲେ ଓ ମରଣାପନ୍ନ ହେଲେ। ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିଲେ ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ଚିହ୍ନ ଦେଲେ।
24In those days Hezekiah was sick even to death: and he prayed to Yahweh; and he spoke to him, and gave him a sign.
25କିନ୍ତୁ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ହୃଦଯ ଗର୍ବୀ ଥିଲା, ତେଣୁ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମହାଦୟା ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ଯବାଦ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହିଜକିଯ ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ଏବଂ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କୋର୍ଧ କଲେ।
25But Hezekiah didn't render again according to the benefit done to him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath on him, and on Judah and Jerusalem.
26କିନ୍ତୁ ହିଜକିଯ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ହୃଦଯ ଓ ଜୀବନକୁ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତିତ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନିଜକୁ ନମ୍ର କଲେ ଓ ଆଉ ଗର୍ବ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ହିଜକିଯ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ କୋରଧ କଲେ।
26Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Yahweh didn't come on them in the days of Hezekiah.
27ହିଜକିଯ ଅନକେ ଧନସଂପଦ ଓ ସମ୍ମାନ ଲାଭ କଲେ। ସେ ରୂପା, ସୁନା, ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ମଣିମୁକ୍ତା, ମସଲା, ଢ଼ାଲ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ରଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥାନସବୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
27Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honor: and he provided him treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of goodly vessels;
28ଲୋକମାନେ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଖାଦ୍ୟଶସ୍ଯ, ନୂତନ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଓ ତୈଳ ପଠାଉଥିଲେ, ତାହା ରଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାଙ୍କର ଭଣ୍ଡାରଗୃହ ସବୁ ଥିଲା। ସମସ୍ତ ପଶୁପଲ ଓ ମଷେପଲ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାଙ୍କର ଗୁହାଳ ସବୁ ଥିଲା।
28store-houses also for the increase of grain and new wine and oil; and stalls for all manner of animals, and flocks in folds.
29ହିଜକିଯ ମଧ୍ଯ ବହୁତ ନଗର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ବହୁତ ମଷେ ଓ ଗୋରୁ ପଲ ପାଇଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଧନରତ୍ନ ଦଇେଥିଲେ।
29Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance; for God had given him very much substance.
30ହିଜକିଯ ହିଁ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଗୀହାନେ ଝରଣାର ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ବସ୍ଥ ଉତ୍ସକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କଲେ ଓ ସହେି ଜଳକୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗରର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପାଶର୍‌ବ ରେ ସଳଖ ଭାବରେ ନିମ୍ନଗାମୀ କଲେ। ଆଉ ହିଜକିଯ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମ କଲେ, ସେଥି ରେ ସଫଳ ହେଲେ।
30This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper spring of the waters of Gihon, and brought them straight down on the west side of the city of David. Hezekiah prospered in all his works.
31ଥରେ ବାବିଲୀଯ ନେତାମାନେ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରରଣେ କଲେ। ସହେି ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକମାନେ ଦେଶ ମଧିଅରେ ଘଟିଥିବା ଏକ ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ ଚିହ୍ନ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧ ରେ ପଚାରିଲେ। ଯେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ଆସିଲେ ସେତବେେଳେ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଓ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ହୃଦଯ ରେ ଯାହା କିଛି ଅଛି, ତାହା ଜାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ଏକାକୀ ଛାଡ଼ିଗଲେ।
31However in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
32ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ କର୍ମ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କେତେ ପ୍ ରମେ କଲେ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଯିଶାଇୟଙ୍କ ଦର୍ଶନ ପୁସ୍ତକ ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକ ରେ ଲଖାେ ୟାଇଅଛି।
32Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
33ହିଜକିଯ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କବରପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ। ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କର କବର ଯେଉଁ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଥିଲା, ଲୋକମାନେ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ ସହେିଠା ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ। ହିଜକିଯ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲାପରେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦଖାଇେଲେ। ମନଃଶି ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ନୂତନ ରାଜା ହେଲେ। ମନଃଶି ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ।
33Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the ascent of the tombs of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honor at his death. Manasseh his son reigned in his place.
