ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ରାଜା ହବୋ ସମୟରେ ସାତବର୍ଷ ବଯସ୍କ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜତ୍ବ କଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ମାତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଥିଲ ସିବିଯା। ସିବିଯା ବରେ ସବୋ ସହରରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ।

Joash was seven years old when he began to reign; and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Zibiah, of Beersheba.

ଯାଜକ ୟିହୋଯାଦା ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କର୍ମ କଲେ।

Joash did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

ୟିହୋଯାଦା ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦୁଇଜଣ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବାଛିଲେ। ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ପୁତ୍ର ଓ କନ୍ଯାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ।

Jehoiada took for him two wives; and he became the father of sons and daughters.

ପରେ, ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଲେ।

It happened after this, that Joash was minded to restore the house of Yahweh.

ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ କଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ଯିହୁଦାର ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ୟାଅ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ଯେଉଁ ଅର୍ଥ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତାହାକୁ ଠୁଳ କର। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମିତ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସହେି ଅର୍ଥକୁ ବ୍ଯବହାର କର। ଶୀଘ୍ର ୟାଅ ଓ ଏହି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କର। କିନ୍ତୁ ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ଚଞ୍ଚଳ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।

He gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out to the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year; and see that you hasten the matter. However the Levites didn't hurry.

ତେଣୁ ରାଜ ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ମୁଖ୍ଯଯାଜକ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦାଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼କାଇଲେ। ରାଜା କହିଲେ, ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା, ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମରୁ ସଂଗୃହିତ ଖଜଣା ଆଣିବାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଉ ନାହିଁ ? ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦାସ ମାଶାେ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ସହେି ଖଜଣାକୁ ପବିତ୍ର ତମ୍ବୁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ଯବହାର କରୁଥିଲେ।

The king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said to him, Why haven't you required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the tax of Moses the servant of Yahweh, and of the assembly of Israel, for the tent of the testimony?

ଅତୀତ ରେ, ଅଥଲିଯାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଭିତ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଥିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ପବିତ୍ର ସାମଗ୍ରୀଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସମାନେେ ବାଲ୍-ଦବଗେଣର ପୂଜା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ଯବହାର କରିଥିଲେ। ଅଥଲିଯା ଜଣେ ଅତି ଦୁଷ୍ଟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥିଲେ।

For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of Yahweh did they bestow on the Baals.

ରାଜା ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଏକ ବାକ୍ସ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ଦ୍ବାରର ବାହାର ପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ରଖିବାକୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ।

So the king commanded, and they made a chest, and set it outside at the gate of the house of Yahweh.
9
ଏହାପରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଏକ ଘୋଷଣା କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖଜଣା ଦବୋକୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ମରଭୂମିରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦାସ ମାଶାେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଖଜଣା ଦବୋକୁ କହିଥିଲେ।

They made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in for Yahweh the tax that Moses the servant of God laid on Israel in the wilderness.
10
ସବୁ ନେତା ଓ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଟଙ୍କା ଆଣି ସହେି ବାକ୍ସ ରେ ପକାଇଲେ। ବାକ୍ସଟି ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନେେ ଦାନ ଦବୋକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।

All the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, until they had made an end.
11
ଏହାପରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ସହେି ବାକ୍ସକୁ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ସହେି ବାକ୍ସ ଟଙ୍କା ରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସଚିବ ଓ ମୁଖ୍ଯ ଯାଜକଙ୍କ ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ବାକ୍ସରୁ ଟଙ୍କାତକ କାଢ଼ି ନେଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସମାନେେ ସହେି ବାକ୍ସରୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହାର ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ରଖି ଦେଲେ। ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ସମାନେେ ଏହିପରି କଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଟଙ୍କା ଜମା କଲେ।

It was so, that whenever the chest was brought to the king's officers by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and the chief priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to its place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

ଏହାପରେ ରାଜା ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଓ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସହେି ଟଙ୍କା ଦେଲେ। ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଦକ୍ଷ କାଷ୍ଠ ଖାଦେନକାରୀ ଓ ବଢ଼ଇମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପାରିଶ୍ରମିକ ଦଇେ ନୁୟୁକ୍ତ କଲେ। ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଲୁହା ଓ ପିତ୍ତଳର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ରେ ପାରିଶ୍ରମିକ ଦଇେ ନିୟୁକ୍ତ କଲେ।

The king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of Yahweh; and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of Yahweh, and also such as worked iron and brass to repair the house of Yahweh.
13
ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିମାନେ ତତ୍ତ୍ବାବଧାନ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଅତି ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ଥିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ସଫଳ ହେଲା। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଯେଉଁପରି ଥିଲା, ସମାନେେ ତାହାକୁ ସେପ୍ରକାର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ସମାନେେ ତାହାକୁ ଆହୁରି ତୁଚ୍ଛ କଲେ।

So the workmen worked, and the work of repairing went forward in their hands, and they set up the house of God in its state, and strengthened it.
14
ଯେତବେେଳେ ଶ୍ରମିକମାନଙ୍କର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେଲା, ସମାନେେ ବଳିଥିବା ଟଙ୍କାକୁ ରାଜା ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଓ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ଟଙ୍କାକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ରେ ବ୍ଯବହାର କଲେ। ସହେି ସାମଗ୍ରୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମନ୍ଦିରର ସବୋକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଓ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ହାମବେଳି ଉପହାର ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହେଲା। ସମାନେେ ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପାରୁ ପାତ୍ରମାନ ଓ ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଯାଜକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ହାମବେଳି ଉପହାରମାନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

When they had made an end, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of Yahweh, even vessels with which to minister and to offer, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the house of Yahweh continually all the days of Jehoiada.
15
ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ବୃଦ୍ଧ ହେଲେ। ସେ ଦୀର୍ଘଜୀବି ଥିଲେ, ତା'ପରେ ସେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲେ। ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା 130 ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲେ।

But Jehoiada grew old and was full of days, and he died; one hundred thirty years old was he when he died.
16
ଲୋକମାନେ ୟିହୋଯାଦାଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗର ରେ, ଯେଉଁଠା ରେ ରାଜାମାନେ କବରପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହାଇେଛନ୍ତି, ସହେିଠା ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ। ଲୋକମାନେ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ୟିହୋଯାଦାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଆପଣାର ଜୀବନକାଳ ରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ମଧିଅରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିମନ୍ତେ ବହୁତ ଉତ୍ତମ କର୍ମ କରିଥିଲେ।

They buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and his house.
17
ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ପରେ, ଯିହୁଦାର ନେତାମାନେ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ରାଜା ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ପ୍ରଣିପାତ କଲେ। ରାଜା ସହେି ନେତାମାନଙ୍କର କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ।

Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the king listened to them.
18
ରାଜା ଓ ସହେି ନେତାମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ଯ କଲେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଆଶରୋ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପୂଜା କଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦାର ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କୋର୍ଧ କଲେ, କାରଣ ରାଜା ଓ ସହେି ନେତାମାନେ ଦୋଷୀ ଥିଲେ।

They forsook the house of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherim and the idols: and wrath came on Judah and Jerusalem for this their guiltiness.
19
ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଫରୋଇ ଆଣିବାକୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନିକଟକୁ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରରଣେ କଲେ। ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାବଧାନ କରାଇ ଦେଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ମନା କଲେ।

Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again to Yahweh; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear.
20
ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମା ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅବତରଣ କଲେ। ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ଯାଜକ ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କ ପିତା ଥିଲେ। ଜିଖରିଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଛିଡ଼ା ହେଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହା କହନ୍ତି : ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କାହିଁକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାର ବାଧ୍ଯ ହବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ଯ କରୁଛ ? ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କୃତକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଅଛ। ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି !'

The Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said to them, Thus says God, Why disobey you the commandments of Yahweh, so that you can't prosper? because you have forsaken Yahweh, he has also forsaken you.
21
କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ । ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ରାଜା ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ, ତେଣୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼କୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିର ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ମଧିଅରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହା କଲେ।

They conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of Yahweh.
22
ରାଜା ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ଯେଉଁ ଦୟା କରିଥିଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କ ପିତା ଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୋୟାଶ୍, ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ଜିଖରିଯ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଭୋଗ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଏହିକଥା କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯାହା କହୁଅଛ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହା ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ !

Thus Joash the king didn't remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son. When he died, he said, Yahweh look on it, and require it.

ବର୍ଷର ଶଷେ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଅରାମୀଯ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ ଏବଂ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସବୁ ନେତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସବୁ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ସାମଗ୍ରୀଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଦମ୍ମେଶକର ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ।

It happened at the end of the year, that the army of the Syrians came up against him: and they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all the spoil of them to the king of Damascus.

ଅରାମୀଯ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ନିଜ ସହିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଏକ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଦଳକୁ ନଇେ ଆସିଥିଲେ କିନ୍ତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ବୃହତ୍ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଉପରେ ବିଜଯଲାଭ କରିବାକୁ ଦେଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହିପରି କଲେ, କାରଣ ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହାଇେଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଦଣ୍ଡିତ ହେଲେ।

For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men; and Yahweh delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had forsaken Yahweh, the God of their fathers. So they executed judgment on Joash.

ଅରାମୀଯମାନେ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ, ସେ ଗୁରୁତର ଭାବରେ ଆହତ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କର ନିଜ ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଷଡ଼ୟନ୍ତ୍ର କଲେ। ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ଯାଜକଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥିବାରୁ ସମାନେେ ଏହିପରି କଲେ। ସହେି ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଶୟ୍ଯା ଉପରେ ହିଁ ବଧ କଲେ। ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଭୋଗ କରିବା ପରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗର ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜାମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ କବର ପାଆନ୍ତି, ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ।

When they were departed for him (for they left him very sick), his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed, and he died; and they buried him in the city of David, but they didn't bury him in the tombs of the kings.

ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଏହି ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ଷଡ଼ୟନ୍ତ୍ର କରିଥିଲେ ; ସାବଦ୍ ଓ ୟିହୋଷାବଦ୍, ସାବଦ୍ଙ୍କ ମାତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଶିମିଯତ୍। ଶିମିଯତ୍ ଅମ୍ମାନରେୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ୟିହୋଷାବଦ୍ଙ୍କର ମାତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଶିମ୍ରୀତ୍। ଶିମ୍ରୀତ୍ ମାୟୋବ୍ରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ।

ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ କାହାଣୀ, ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ମହାନ୍ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବାଣୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଓ ସେ କିପରି ପୁନର୍ବାର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ସହେିସବୁ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ବିବରଣୀ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲଖାୟୋଇ ଅଛି। ଅମତ୍ସିଯ ତାଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ନୂତନ ରାଜା ହେଲେ। ଅମତ୍ସିଯ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ।
