1ସହେି ସମୟରେ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନବଂଶୀଯ କୀଶ୍ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ମହତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଅବୀଯଲର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲେ, ୟିଏକି ସରୋରର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲା, ୟିଏକି ବଖାରେତର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲା, ୟିଏକି ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନୀଯ ଅଫୀହର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲା।
1Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor.
2କୀଶ୍ଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟଅଙ୍କର ନାମ ଶାଉଲ। ଶାଉଲ ଜଣେ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟନ୍ଦର ପୁରୁଷ ଥିଲେ। ଶାଉଲ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟନ୍ଦର ଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ସ୍କନ୍ଧରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଧିକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଥିଲେ।
2He had a son, whose name was Saul, an impressive young man; and there was not among the children of Israel a better person than he. From his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.
3ଏକଦା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ପିତାଙ୍କର ଗଧସବୁ ହଜିଗଲେ। ତେଣୁ କୀଶ ଶାଉଲକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗ୍ଭକରମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଇେ ଗଧମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ଧାନ ନିଅ।
3The donkeys of Kish, Saul's father, were lost. Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with you, and arise, go seek the donkeys.
4ଶାଉଲ ଗଧମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖାଜେିବ ପାଇଁ ଗଲେ। ସେ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ ପର୍ବତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଦଇେ ଗଲେ, ତା'ପରେ ଶାଲିଶା ପ୍ରଦେଶ ଦଇେ ଗଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହେଁ ନିରାଶ ହେଲ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ଶାଲୀମ୍ ପ୍ରଦେଶ ଦଇେ ଗଲେ ସଠାେରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିରାଶ ହବୋରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରବେଶ ଦଇଗେଲେ। ସଠାେରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ନିରାଶ ହେେଲ।
4He passed through the hill-country of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they didn't find them: then they passed through the land of Shaalim, and there they weren't there: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they didn't find them.
5ଶଷେ ରେ ସମାନେେ ସୂଫ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ଶାଉଲ ତାଙ୍କର ଗ୍ଭକରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ଗ୍ଭଲ! ଆମ୍ଭେ ଫରେିୟିବା, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବାପା ଗଧମାନଙ୍କ ପରିବର୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ଯସ୍ତ ହେଉଥିବେ।
5When they had come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, Come, and let us return, lest my father leave off caring for the donkeys, and be anxious for us.
6ଗ୍ଭକର କହିଲା, ଏ ସହର ରେ ଜଣେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ କରନ୍ତି। ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଭବିଷ୍ଯବାଣୀ ସତ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଏ। ଗ୍ଭଲ, ସଠାେକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବା, ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ ଆମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଧମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ଧାନ ଦଇପୋରନ୍ତି।
6He said to him, See now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is a man who is held in honor; all that he says comes surely to pass: now let us go there; peradventure he can tell us concerning our journey whereon we go.
7ତା'ପରେ ଶାଉଲ ଗ୍ଭକରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବା, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରମେଶଓରଙ୍କୁ କ'ଣ ଉପହାର ଦବୋ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଏପରିକି ଆମ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ସରିଗଲାଣି। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉପହାର କ'ଣ ଦବୋ।
7Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?
8ପକ୍ସ୍ଟନ୍ନରାଯ ଗ୍ଭକର କହିଲା, ଦେଖ, ମାେ ପାଖ ରେ ଏକ ଶକେଲ ରକ୍ସ୍ଟପାର ଚତକ୍ସ୍ଟର୍ଥାଂଶ ଅଛି। ଆସ ପଇସାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦବୋ। ତା'ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ କଥା ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବା।
8The servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have in my hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
9ଶାଉଲ ଗ୍ଭକରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ,
9(In earlier times in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, thus he said, Come, and let us go to the seer; for he who is now called a Prophet was before called a Seer.)
10ଏହା ଏକ ଉତ୍ତମ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧି। ଗ୍ଭଲ ୟିବା,
10Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went to the city where the man of God was.
11ତା'ପରେ ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାତ୍ରା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।
11As they went up the ascent to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said to them, Is the seer here?
12ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବତୀମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ହିଁ, ସେ ଏଠା ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏଇ ରାସ୍ତାର ଅଳ୍ପ ଆଗ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ଆଜି ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି। ଲୋକମାନେ ଦଳ ଦଳ ହାଇେ ଆସି ତାଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ରପୀଠ ରେ ଦର୍ଶନ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।
12They answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for he is come today into the city; for the people have a sacrifice today in the high place:
13ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସହର ଭିତରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଅ, ତାଙ୍କୁ ପାଇୟିବ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଚଞ୍ଚଳ ୟିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉପାସନା ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଭୋଜନ ପୂର୍ବରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିପାରିବ। ସଠାେରେ ସେ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ। ତା'ପରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ। ସେ ନ ଆସିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଖାଇବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଚଞ୍ଚଳ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଅ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପାଇପାରିବ।
13as soon as you are come into the city, you shall immediately find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat; for the people will not eat until he come, because he does bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat who are invited. Now therefore get you up; for at this time you shall find him.
14ଶାଉଲ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କ ଗ୍ଭକର ଆଗକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଚାଲିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହର ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ମାତ୍ ରେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଠିକ୍ ସେ ସମୟରେ ସହରରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉପାସନା ସ୍ଥାନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସକ୍ସ୍ଟଛନ୍ତି।
14They went up to the city; and as they came within the city, behold, Samuel came out toward them, to go up to the high place.
15ଶାଉଲ ଆସିବାର ଦିନକପୂର୍ବରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଥିଲେ,
15Now Yahweh had revealed to Samuel a day before Saul came, saying,
16ଆସନ୍ତା କାଲି ଠିକ୍ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ମୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପାଖକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇବି। ସେ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନୀଯ ବଂଶଧର। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନେତା ରୂପେ ଅଭିଶିକ୍ତ କରିବ। ଏହି ଲୋକ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟଙ୍କ କବଳରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବ। କାରଣ ମୁ ମାରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଦେଖିଛି। ମୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣିଅଛି।
16Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel; and he shall save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked on my people, because their cry is come to me.
17ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଶାଉଲକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦେଖିଲେ, ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ସହେିଲୋକ, ମୁ ଯାହା କଥା କହକ୍ସ୍ଟଥିଲି ସେ ମାରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶାସନ କରିବେ।
17When Samuel saw Saul, Yahweh said to him, Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! this same shall have authority over my people.
18ଶାଉଲ ଫାଟକ ପାଖ ରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଥିବା ଜଣେ ଲୋକଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭଟେିବାର ଦିଗ ପଚାରିଲେ। ଏ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଜଣକ କିନ୍ତୁ ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଥିଲେ, ଶାଉଲ କହିଲେ, କ୍ଷମା କରିବେ, ଆପଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଘର ବତଇେ ଦବେେ କି?
18Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, Please, where the seer's house is.
19ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ କହିଲେ, ମୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ। ମାେତେ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସରଣ କର ମୁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥାନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଇୟିବେି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏବଂ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଦାସ ମାେ ସହିତ ଆଜି ଭୋଜନ କରିବ। କାଲି ସକାଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଘରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେିୟିବ। ଏବଂ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନର ଉତ୍ତର ଦବେି।
19Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer; go up before me to the high place, for you shall eat with me today: and in the morning I will let you go, and will tell you all that is in your heart.
20ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତିନିଦିନ ପୂର୍ବେ ହଜିଥିବା ଗଧମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ କର ନାହିଁ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମିଳିୟାଇଛି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ଜଣେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିର ସନ୍ଧାନ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିଜଣକ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଟ। ସମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏବଂ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପିତାଙ୍କ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗ୍ଭହାଁନ୍ତି।
20As for your donkeys who were lost three days ago, don't set your mind on them; for they are found. For whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for you, and for all your father's house?
21ଶାଉଲ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ମୁ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନ ବଂଶର ସଦସ୍ଯ ଅଟେ। ଏହା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଏକ େଛାଟ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗ। ଆପଣ କହିଁକି କହକ୍ସ୍ଟଛନ୍ତି ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ମାେତେ ଗ୍ଭହାଁନ୍ତି?
21Saul answered, Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? why then speak you to me after this manner?
22ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଶାଉଲ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କ ଦାସକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭୋଜନ ସ୍ଥାନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନେଲେ। ସେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସ୍ଥାନ ଟବେକ୍ସ୍ଟଲ୍ ପାଖ ରେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସ ତିରିଶ ଜଣ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଅତିଥି ମଧିଅରେ ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ।
22Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the guest-chamber, and made them sit in the best place among those who were invited, who were about thirty persons.
23ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ରୋଷଇେଆକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଲେ, ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରଖିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହି ଦଇେଥିବା ମାଂସ ଆଣ।
23Samuel said to the cook, Bring the portion which I gave you, of which I said to you, Set it by you.
24ରୋଷଇେଆ ଚଟକ୍ସ୍ଟଆ ମାଂସ ଆଣି ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ଟବେକ୍ସ୍ଟଲ ଉପରେ ରଖିଲା। ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଟବେକ୍ସ୍ଟଲ ରେ ଥିବା ମାଂସ ଖାଅ। ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସଂରକ୍ଷିତ ଥିଲା। ଏହି ବିଶଷେ ସମୟ ପାଇଁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ ହବୋ ପାଇଁ ମୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲି। ତା'ପରେ ଶାଉଲ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ ସହ ତାଙ୍କର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇଲେ।
24The cook took up the thigh, and that which was on it, and set it before Saul. Samuel said, Behold, that which has been reserved! set it before you and eat; because to the appointed time has it been kept for you, for I said, I have invited the people. So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
25ସମାନେେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇସାରିବା ପରେ ସେ ଉପାସନା ସ୍ଥଳରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେିଲେ। ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଛାତ ଉପରେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବିଛଣା ତିଆରି କଲେ ଏବଂ ଶାଉଲ ଶାଇେବା ପାଇଁ ଗଲେ।
25When they were come down from the high place into the city, he talked with Saul on the housetop.
26ତା'ପରଦିନ ପ୍ରତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯଷରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବିଛଣାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉଠାଇଲେ ଏବଂ କହିଲେ, ଶୟ୍ଯା ତ୍ଯାଗ କର, ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଗନ୍ତବ୍ଯ ସ୍ଥାନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଠାଇବି। ଶାଉଲ ବିଛଣାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉଠିଲେ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ ସହ ବାହାରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ।
26They arose early: and it happened about the spring of the day, that Samuel called to Saul on the housetop, saying, Up, that I may send you away. Saul arose, and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad.
27ଶାଉଲ, ଦାସ ଏବଂ ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ସହର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତ ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ସମୟରେ ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ କହିଲେ, ଦାସକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଗକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କକ୍ସ୍ଟହ। ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା କହିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗ୍ଭ ହେଁ। ତେଣୁ ଦାସ ଆଗ ରେ ଗ୍ଭଲିଲା।
27As they were going down at the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us (and he passed on), but stand you still first, that I may cause you to hear the word of God.
