ତା'ପରେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ଦାସ ୟାରବିଯାମ ମଧ୍ଯ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହ କଲେ। ସେ ସ ରଦୋ ନଗର ନିବାସୀ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମଙ୍କ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗ ଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ମାତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ସରୁଯା, ସେ ଜଣେ ବିଧବା ଥିଲେ।

Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah, a servant of Solomon, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, he also lifted up his hand against the king.
