1
ଯେପରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସପରେି ଅନୁସରଣ କର।

Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2
ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରୁଛି କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ରେ ମନେ ପକାଉ ଅଛ। ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ଉପଦେଶ ଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦଇେଥିଲି ସେ ଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ ରେ ରଖି ପାଳନ କରୁଛ।

Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.

ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହା ବୁଝାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ : ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପୁରୁଷଲୋକର ମସ୍ତକ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକର ମସ୍ତକ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ମସ୍ତକ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ପରମେଶ୍ବର।

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.
4
ଯେ କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷଲୋକ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରେ ବା ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ ବାଣୀ କ ହେ, ସେ ନିଜ ମସ୍ତକର ଅପମାନ କରେ।

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
5
ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରି ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ ବାଣୀ ଓ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଯଦି କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ନ କରି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରେ ବା ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ ବାଣୀ କ ହେ, ସେ ନିଜର ମସ୍ତକର ଅପମାନ କରେ। ଏହା ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକର ମୁଣ୍ଡ ରେ ବାଳ ନ ଥିବା ସମାନ।

But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.

ଯଦି କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ତା' ହେଲ ଏହା ସେ ମସ୍ତକର କେଶ କାଟିପକାଇବା ସଙ୍ଗେ ସମାନ। ମାତ୍ର କେଶ କାଟିବା ଓ ମସ୍ତକ ମୁଣ୍ଡନ କରିବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ, ତେଣୁ ସେ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍।

For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.

କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଣେ ପୁରୁଷ ନିଜର ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିବା ଅନୁଚିତ୍, କାରଣ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ତାହାଙ୍କର ଗୌରବ ଅଟେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପୁରୁଷର ଗୌରବ ସ୍ବରୂପ ଅଟେ।

For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.
8
ପୁରୁଷ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଠାରୁ ଆସି ନାହିଁ। ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପୁରୁଷଠାରୁ ଆସିଛି।

For man is not from woman, but woman from man;
9
ପୁରୁଷ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପାଇଁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହାଇେ ନ ଥିଲା ; ବରଂ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପୁରୁଷ ପାଇଁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହାଇେଥିଲା।

for neither was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.

ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଅଧିନତାର ଚିହ୍ନ ସ୍ବରୂପେ ଆପଣା ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ଲାଗି ମଧ୍ଯ ସେ ଏହା କରିବା ଉଚିତ।

For this cause the woman ought to have authority on her head, because of the angels.

କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ, ପୁରୁଷ ଠାରୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ନୁହେଁ, ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଠାରୁ ପୁରୁଷ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ନୁହେଁ।

Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.
12
କାରଣ, ଯେପରି ପୁରୁଷ ଠାରୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆସିଛି, ସହେିପରି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଠାରୁ ପୁରୁଷ ଜନ୍ମ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଛି। ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ବିଷୟ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ଆସିଛି।

For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.

ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ନ କରି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା କ'ଣ ଉଚିତ୍ କି ? ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜେ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ କର।

Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?
14
ପ୍ରକୃତି କ'ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦଇେ ନାହିଁ ଯେ, କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ବଡ଼ ବଡ଼ ବାଳ ରଖିବ ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ କଥା ?
14
Doesn't even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
15
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ଲମ୍ବା ବାଳ ଅଛି, ଏହା ତା'ପାଇଁ ଗୌରବର ବିଷୟ। ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଦୀର୍ଘ କେଶ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଇଛି।
15
But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.
16
ଯଦି କିଏ ଏହି ବିଷୟ ରେ ୟୁକ୍ତି ତର୍କ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭେ କହିବୁ ଯେ, ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଏପ୍ରକାର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯକଳାପଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବା ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସ୍ବୀକୃତ ଦବେ ନାହିଁ।

But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God's assemblies.
17
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ବିଷୟ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରୁ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମବତେ ସଭାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଙ୍ଗଳ କରିବା ପରିବର୍ତେ କ୍ଷତିକାରକ ହେଉଛି।

But in giving you this command, I don't praise you, that you come together not for the better but for the worse.
18
ପ୍ରଥମେ ମୁଁ ଶୁଣିଛି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସଭା ରେ ସମବତେ ହେଲା ବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଦଳ ଭଦେ ଘଟେ।

For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.
19
କେତକୋଂଶ ରେ ମୁଁ ଏହାକୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ମତଭଦେ ହବୋ ଆବଶ୍ଯକ କାରଣ ଏହା ଦ୍ବାରା ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ମତ ଠିକ୍ ତାହା ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ରୂପେ ଜଣାୟିବ।
19
For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.
20
ଅତଏବ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ରେ ସମବତେ ହୁଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ପାଳନ କରି ନ ଥାଅ।
20
When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord's supper.
21
କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଖାଇଲା ବେଳେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ନ କରି ନିଜ ନିଜର ଭୋଜ ଖାଅ। ଫଳତଃ, କହେି କହେି ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ଖାଇବା ଓ ପିଇବାକୁ ପାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଅପରପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ଅତ୍ଯଧିକ ଖାଇପିଇ ମାତାଲ ହାଇେ ଯାନ୍ତି।
21
For in your eating each one takes his own supper before others. One is hungry, and another is drunken.
22
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜ ନିଜର ଘ ରେ ଖାଇ ପିଇ ପାରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ଯେପରି ଗୁରୁତ୍ବ ନାହିଁ, ଏହି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯରୁ ଜଣାପଡ଼େ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଲଜ୍ଜା ଦେଉଛ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କ'ଣ ବା କହିବି ? ଏହି କାମ ପାଇଁ କ'ଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିବି ? ନା । ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିବି ନାହିଁ।
22
What, don't you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God's assembly, and put them to shame who don't have? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don't praise you.

ଯେଉଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲି, ସହେି ସମାନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଲେି। ଯେଉଁ ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଧରାଇ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିଲା। ସହେି ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ସେ ରୋଟୀ ନେଲେ ଓ ତା' ପାଇଁ ଧନ୍ଯବାଦ ଦଇେଥିଲେ।

For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.
24
ତା'ପରେ ସହେି ରୋଟୀକୁ ଛିଣ୍ଡାଇ ସେ କହିଲେ : ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମାରେ ଶରୀର। ମାେତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହା କର।
24
When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me."
25
ସହେିପରି ସମାନେେ ଖାଇ ସାରିଲା ପରେ, ସେ ପାନପାତ୍ର ନେଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ : ଏହି ପାନପାତ୍ର ମାହେର ରକ୍ତ ରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ନୂତନ ଚୁକ୍ତିର ନିଦର୍ଶନ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେତେଥର ଏହି ପାତ୍ରକୁ ପାନ କରିବ, ମାେତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହା କରିବ।

In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me."

ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଥର ଏହି ରୋଟୀ ଖାଇଲା ବେଳେ ଓ ଏହି ପାନପାତ୍ରରୁ ପାନ କଲା ବେଳେ, ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦିନ ଆସିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ, ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ଯୁର ଘାଷେଣା କରୁଥିବ।

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27
ଅତଏବ, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ରୋଟୀ ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପିଆଲାରୁ ଅନୁଚିତ ଭାବରେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଶରୀର ଓ ରକ୍ତର ଅବମାନନା କରେ।
27
Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord's cup in a manner unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28
ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକଲୋକ ରୋଟୀ ଖାଇବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଓ ପିଆଲାରୁ ପିଇବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ନିଜ ହୃଦୟକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିନବୋ ଦରକାର।

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
29
ଯଦି ଜଣେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରକୁ ବିଶଷେ ନ ମଣି ଏହି ରୋଟୀକୁ ଖାଏ ଓ ଏହି ପିଆଲାରୁ ପିଏ, ତା' ହେଲେ ସେ ଏହା ଖାଇବା ଓ ପିଇବା ଦ୍ବାରା ଦୋଷୀ ସାବ୍ଯସ୍ତ ହୁଏ।

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn't discern the Lord's body.
30
ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଅନକେ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ଓ ରୋଗୀ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଅନକେ ମୃତ ହେଲଣେି।

For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.
31
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଜକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ନବୋ, ତା' ହେଲେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ବିଚାରିତ ହବୋକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ ନାହିଁ।
31
For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn't be judged.
32
ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର କରନ୍ତି, ସେ ଠିକ୍ ବାଟ ଦଖାଇବୋ ଲାଗି ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଦଣ୍ଡ ବିଧାନ କରନ୍ତି। ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ଜଗତର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଦଣ୍ଡାଜ୍ଞା ପାଇବୁ ନାହିଁ, ସେଥିଲାଗି ସେ ଏପରି କରନ୍ତି।

But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
33
ଅତଏବ, ହେ ଭାଇ ଓ ଭଉଣୀମାନେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏକାଠି ଆସିଛ, ପରସ୍ପର ଏକଆ ରକେ ଲାଗି ଅପେକ୍ଷା କର।
33
Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait one for another.
34
ଯଦି କାହାକୁ ବହୁତ ଭୋକ ଲାଗୁଛି, ସେ ଘ ରେ ଖାଇ ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ, ୟଦ୍ଦ୍ବାରା ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ସଭା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆଚରଣ ହତେୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ବିଚାରିତ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ଯବେେ ଆସିବି, ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବିଷୟ ରେ କ'ଣ କରିବାକୁ ହବେ କହିବି।
34
But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
