1ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ସେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗାଥ ସହର ଓ ତାହାର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ଥିବା କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରି ନଇଗେଲେ।
1After this it happened, that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2ଏହାପରେ ଦାଉଦ ମାୟୋବ ଦେଶକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ମାୟୋବୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଦାସ ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ରାଜଦଯେ ଅର୍ପଣ କଲେ।
2He struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.
3ଦାଉଦ ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ସହିତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ହଦ ରଷେର ସୋବର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ହମାତ ସହର ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପଥରେ ସହେି ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ସହିତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ହଦ ରଷେର ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ବିସ୍ତାର କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବାରୁ ଦାଉଦ ଏହିପରି କଲେ।
3David struck Hadarezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
4ଦାଉଦ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କଠାରୁ 1,000 ରଥ, 7,000 ରଥଚାଳକ, ଓ 20,000 ସୈନ୍ଯ ନଇଗେଲେ। ରଥ ଟାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହେଉଥିବା ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଅଶ୍ବକୁ ଦାଉଦ ପଙ୍ଗୁ କର ଦେଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଦାଉଦ 100 ଗୋଟି ରଥକୁ ଟାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ଅଶ୍ବକୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ରଖିଲେ।
4David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.
5ଅରାମୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକରୁ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସହେି ଅରାମୀଯର 22,000 ସୈନ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦ ମାରି ଦେଲେ।
5When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Syrians twenty-two thousand men.
6ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ଦମ୍ମେଶକ ସହରର ଅରାମ ରେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। ଅରାମୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହେଲେ ଓ ଦର୍ଶନୀ ଆଣିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁଆଡ଼େ ଗଲେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବିଜଯ ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ।
6Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
7ଦାଉଦ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ସନୋପତିମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଢ଼ାଲଗୁଡ଼ିକ ନଇଗେଲେ ଓ ସଗେୁଡ଼ିକୁ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।
7David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8ଦାଉଦ ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ହଦ ରଷେରର ଟିଭତ୍ ଓ କୂନି ସହରରୁ ବହୁତ ପିତ୍ତଳ ଆଣିଲେ। ଶଲୋମନ ସହେି ପିତ୍ତଳରୁ ପିତ୍ତଳ ଜଳଧାର, ପିତ୍ତଳ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଓ ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ ବସ୍ତୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
8From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much brass, with which Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9ତଯି ହମାତ ନଗରୀର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ହଦ ରଷେର ସୋବାର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ତଯି ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ ଯେ, ଦାଉଦ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
9When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10ତେଣୁ ତଯି ଅଭ୍ଯର୍ଥନା ଜଣାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସନ୍ଧି କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିବଦନେ କରି ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ହଦୋରାମଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ସେ ଏପରି କଲେ, କାରଣ ତଯି ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ତଯି ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ରେ ୗପ୍ୟ ଓ ପିତ୍ତଳ ନିର୍ମିତ ଉପହାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ।
10he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadarezer and struck him; (for Hadarezer had wars with Tou;) and he had with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
11ରାଜା ଦାଉଦ ସହେିସବୁ ବସ୍ତୁକୁ ପବିତ୍ର କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ପଣ କଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ଇଦୋମ, ମାୟୋବ ଓ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟ, ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଓ ଅମାଲକେୀଯମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଣିଥିବା ରୂପା ଓ ସୁନା ରେ ଠିକ୍ ସହେି ପ୍ରକାର ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ତିଆରି କଲେ।
11These also did king David dedicate to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12ଲବଣ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ରେ ସରୁଯାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଅବୀଶଯ 18,000 ଇଦୋମୀଯ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ।
12Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.
13ଅବୀଶଯ ଇଦୋମ ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦୁର୍ଗମାନ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଦୋମୀଯ ଲୋକ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଦାସ ହେଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଗଲେ, ସହେିଠା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବିଜଯ ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ।
13He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
14ଦାଉଦ ସମଗ୍ର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଉପରେ ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ଏବଂ ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ନ୍ଯାଯବାନ ଥିଲେ।
14David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.
15ସରୁଯାର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାବ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳର ସନୋପତି ଥିଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁସବୁ କର୍ମ କରୁଥିଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ଅହୀଲୂଦଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଲେଖି ରଖୁଥିଲେ।
15Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
16ସାଦୋକ୍ ଓ ଅହୀମଲେକ୍ ଯାଜକ ଥିଲେ। ସାଦୋକ୍ ଅହୀଟୂବର ପୁତ୍ର ଏବଂ ଅହୀମଲେକ୍ ଅବିଯାଥରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ଶାବ୍ଶା ଲିପିକାର ଥିଲେ।
16and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17ବନାଯ, କରେଥୀଯ ଓ ପଲେଥୀଯ ରକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କର ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ବନାଯ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ରାଜା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ସବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଖ୍ଯ ପଦାଧିକାରୀ ଥିଲେ।
17and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
