1परमेश्वरले मोशालाई भन्नु भयो, “तिमी, हारून, नादाब, अबीहू अनि सत्तरी इस्राएलका जना अरू बूढा-प्रधानहरूसित पर्वतमाथि आउनु पर्छ अनि टाढोबाट मेरो आराधना गर्नु पर्छ।
1He said to Moses, "Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.
2तब मोशा परमप्रभु सामुन्ने आफैं आउनेछन् तर अन्य मानिसहरू परमप्रभु नजिक जाने छैनन् अनि रहल मानिसहरूले पर्वतमाथिसम्म पनि जानु हुँदैन।”
2Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him."
3मोशाले मानिसहरूलाई परमप्रभुले बताका सबै आदेश र निर्देनशहरू बताए। तब मानिसहरू भने, “परमप्रभुले भन्नु भएका सबै आदेश तथा निर्देशहरू हामी पालन गर्नेछौं।”
3Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, "All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do."
4अनि मोशाले परमप्रभुका सबै आज्ञाहरू लेखे। अर्को बिहान मोशाले पर्वतको फेदीमा एउटा वेदी बनाए अनि इस्राएलीहरूको बाह्र कुल समूहहरूलाई प्रतिनिधित्व गराउनु बाह्रबटा ढुङ्गाहरू राखे।
4Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.
5तब मोशाले केही इस्राएली युवकहरूलाई बलिहरू चढाउन पठाए। ती मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुलाई होमबलि र मेलबलिको रूपमा गोरूहरू चढाए।
5He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen to Yahweh.
6मोशाले बलिको आधा रगत जोगाएर कचौरामा राखे। र आधा वेदीमाथि छर्किए।
6Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7मोशाले करारको पुस्तक मानिसहरूका निम्ति पढे अनि मानिसहरूले भने, “परमप्रभुले आदेश गर्नु भएको प्रत्येक चीज हामी गर्ने छौं।”
7He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, "All that Yahweh has spoken will we do, and be obedient."
8तब मोशाले बलिको गोरूको रगत भएको कचौरा लिए अनि मानिसहरूमाथि छर्के। उनले भने, “परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूसित विशेष करार गर्नु भएकोछ भनी यस रगतले देखाउँछ। परमेश्वरले बनाउनु भएका नियमहरू यस करारको एउटा अंश हो।”
8Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, "Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words."
9तब मोशा, हारून, नादाब, अबीहू र 70 जना इस्राएलका बूढा-प्रधानहरू पर्वतमा चढे।
9Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.
10इस्राएलीहरूले इस्राएलका परमेश्वरलाई केही चीजमाथि जो आकाश जस्तो स्वच्छ नीलम देखियो उभिरहनु भएको देखे।
10They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.
11इस्राएलीहरूको अगुवाहरूले परमेश्वरलाई देखे तर उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई ध्वंश पार्नु भएन। तिनीहरू सबैले संगै खाए अनि पिए।
11He didn't lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.
12परमप्रभुले, मोशालाई भन्नु भयो, “पर्वतमाथि मकहाँ आऊ। मैले मेरा शिक्षाहरू र नियमहरू ढुङ्गाको पाटीहरूमा लेखेको छु। ती पाटीहरू म तिमीलाई दिनेछु।”
12Yahweh said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them."
13यसकारण मोशा र उसका सहायक यहोशू उठे अनि मोशा परमेश्वरको पर्वतमाथि चढे।
13Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God's Mountain.
14मोशाले बूढा-प्रधानहरूलाई भने, “हामीहरू नफर्कुञ्जेल यही पर्ख। जब म जान्छु, तिमीहरूबीच कसैको झगडा भए हारून र हूर कहाँ लानु पर्छ।”
14He said to the elders, "Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them."
15तब मोशा पर्वतमाथि गए, र पर्वत बादलले ढाकेको थियो।
15Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
16परमप्रभुको महिमा सीनै पर्वतमा आयो। बादलले छ दिनसम्म पर्वतलाई ढाक्यो। सातौं दिनमा परमप्रभुले मोशासंग बादलबाट कुरा गर्नु भयो।
16The glory of Yahweh settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17परमप्रभुको महिमा इस्राएलीहरूको दृष्टिमा पर्वतमाथि जलिरहको आगो झैं प्रकट भयो।
17The appearance of the glory of Yahweh was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18तब मोशा अझै धेरै बादलभित्र गए। पर्वतमाथि मोशा चालीस दिन र चालीस रात बसे।
18Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
