1इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरू हेब्रोन शहरमा दाऊदकहाँ आए। तिनीहरूले दाऊदलाई भने, “हामी तपाईकै मासु र रगत हौं।
1Then all Israel gathered themselves to David to Hebron, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
2अतीतमा तपाईले हामीलाई युद्धमा अगुवाइ गर्नु भयो। तपाईले शाऊल राजा हुँदा पनि हाम्रो अगुवाई गर्नु भयो। परमप्रभुले तपाईलाई भन्नु भयो, ‘दाऊद तँ इस्राएलका मेरा मानिसहरूलको गोठालो हुनेछस्। तँ मेरा मानिसहरूको प्रधान हुनेछस्।”
2In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel: and Yahweh your God said to you, You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.
3इस्राएलका सबै बूढा-प्रधानहरू हेब्रोन शहरमा दाऊद कहाँ आए। दाऊदले हेब्रोनमा परमप्रभु समक्ष ती बूढा-प्रधानहरूसित एक करार गरे अनि ती बूढा-प्रधानहरूले दाऊदलाई अभिषेक गरे। तिनीहरूले तिनलाई इस्राएलका राजा बनाए। परमप्रभुले यसो हुन्छ भनी वचन दिनु भएको थियो। परमप्रभुले त्यो वचन दिनुका निम्ति शमूएलाई प्रयोग गर्नु भएको थियो।
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahweh; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of Yahweh by Samuel.
4दाऊद अनि इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरू यरूशलेम शहर गए। यरूशलेमलाई त्यस समयमा यबूस भनिन्थ्यो। त्यो शहरमा बस्ने मानिसहरूलाई यबूसी भनिन्थ्यो। त्यो शहरमा
4David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (the same is Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.
5जो मानिसहरू बस्थे तिनीहरूले दाऊदलाई भने, “तपाई हाम्रो शहर भित्र आउन सक्नु हुन्न।” तर दाऊदले ती मानिसहरूलाई परास्त गरिदिए। दाऊदले सियोनको किल्ला लिए। यो स्थान दाऊदको शहर बन्यो।
5The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, You shall not come in here. Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion; the same is the city of David.
6दाऊदले भने, “त्यो व्यक्ति जसले यबूसी मानिसहरू माथि आक्रमण गर्छ, मेरा सम्पूर्ण सेनाको सेनापति हुनेछ।” यसर्थ योआबले आक्रमणको अगुवाई गरे। योआब सरूयाहका छोरा थिए। योआब सेनाका सेनापति बने।
6David said, Whoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was made chief.
7तब दाऊदले किल्लामा आफ्ना घर बनाए। त्यसै कारणले यसलाई दाऊदको शहर नाउँ दिइएको हो।
7David lived in the stronghold; therefore they called it the city of David.
8दाऊदले किल्ला वरिपरि शहर बसाए। तिनले यो मिल्लो देखि शहर वरिपरिको सबै ठाउँमा पर्खाल बनाए। योआबले शहरका अन्य भागको मर्मत गरे।
8He built the city round about, from Millo even round about; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
9दाऊद लगातार सफल हुँदैगए। सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु तिनीसित हुनुहुन्थ्यो।
9David grew greater and greater; for Yahweh of Hosts was with him.
10यो सूची दाऊदका विशेष सेनापतिहरूको हो। यी बीरहरू दाऊदसित तिनका राज्यमा अति शक्तिशाली बने। तिनीहरू र इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूले दाऊदलाई सहयोग गरे अनि तिनलाई राजा बनाए। यो परमेश्वरले वचन दिनु भए जस्तै भयो।
10Now these are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who shown themselves strong with him in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of Yahweh concerning Israel.
11यो सूची दाऊदका विशेष सैनिकहरूको होःयाशोबाम हक्मोनी थिए। याशोबाम अधिकारीहरूका अगुवा थिए। याशोबामले एकै पल्टमा तीन सय मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नो भाला प्रयोग गरेर मारे।
11This is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the thirty; he lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them at one time.
12अर्को अहोही दोदोका छोरा एलाजार थिए। एलाजार ती तीन वीरहरू मध्ये एक थिए।
12After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.
13एलाजार पास-दम्मीममा दाऊदसँग थिए। पलिश्तीहरू युद्ध लडन तयारीको निम्ति त्यस स्थानमा आएका थिए। त्यस स्थान एक जौंले भरिएको खेत थियो। इस्राएलीहरू पलिश्तीहरू देखि भागे।
13He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
14तर ती तीन बीरहरू त्यही खेतमा बसीरहे अनि त्यसलाई रक्षा गरे। तिनीहरूले पलिश्तीहरूलाई परास्त गरे। परमप्रभुले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई महान विजय दिनुभयो।
14They stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and Yahweh saved them by a great victory.
15एकपल्ट, दाऊद अद्‌दुलामको ओडारमा थिए, अनि पलिश्ती सेना तल रपाईमको बेंसीमा थिए। तीसजना वीरहरू मध्ये तीनजना वीरहरू दाऊदलाई ङेट्न ओडारसम्म पुगे।
15Three of the thirty chief men went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines were encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
16अर्कोसमय, दाऊद किल्लामा थिए, अनि पलिश्ती सेनाका एकदल बेतलेहेममा थिए।
16David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
17दाऊद तिर्खाएका थिए आफ्ना शहरको पानीका निम्ति यसर्थ तिनले भने, “म चाहन्छु कि कसैले मलाई बेतलेहेम शहरको द्वार नजिकको कूवाबाट केही पानी देओस्।” दाऊदले वास्तवमा त्यो चाहेका थिएनन् तिनी केवल कुरा मात्र गरेका थिए।
17David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!
18तर ती तीन जना वीरहरूले पलिश्ती सेनाहरूको बीच भएर युद्धगर्दै बाटो पैल्याए र यी तीन व्यक्तिहरूले बेतलेहेमको शहरद्वार छेउको कूवाबाट केही पानी लिए। तब ती तीन वीरहरूले ल्याएको पानी दाऊदकहाँ ल्याए। दाऊदले पानी पिउन अस्वीकार गरे। तिनले त्यो पानी परमप्रभुलाई भेटीको रूपमा भूइँमा खन्याए।
18The three broke through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh,
19दाऊदले भने, “परमेश्वर, म यो पानी पिउँन सक्तिनँ। यो पानी मैले पिएँ भने ती व्यक्तिहरूको रगत पिएको जस्तो हुनेछ जसले मेरो निम्ति यो पानी ल्याउँन आफ्ना जीवन खतरामा पारे।” त्यस कारण दाऊदले पानी पिउन अस्वीकार गरे। ती तीन जना वीरहरूले यस्ता अनेक साहसी कार्यहरू गरे।
19and said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this: shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
20योआबका भाइ अबीशै यी तीन बीरहरूका प्रधान थिए। तिनले आफ्ना भाला द्वारा 300 मानिसहरूसित युद्ध गरे अनि तिनीहरूलाई मारिदिए। अबीशै ती तीन वीरहरू जस्तै प्रसिद्ध थिए।
20Abishai, the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three; for he lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.
21अबीशै ती तीस जना वीरहरू भन्दा दोबर प्रसिद्ध थिए। तिनी ती तीन वीरहरू मध्ये एक नभएता पनि तिनी तीसजनाका अगुवा थिए।
21Of the three, he was more honorable than the two, and was made their captain: however he didn't attain to the first three.
22यहोयादाका छोरा, बनायाह शक्तिशाली “मानिस” थिए। उनी कबसेलबाटका थिए। बनायाहले मोआब देशका दुईजना महान् वीरहरूलाई मारे। एक दिन हिउँ पर्दै थियो, बनायाह भूइँमा भएको खाडल भित्र पसे। अनि एक सिंहलाई मारे।
22Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab: he went down also and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.
23अनि बनायाहले एक ठूलो मिश्र देशका सैनिकहरूलाई मारे। ती व्यक्ति प्रायः साडे सात फीट अग्ला थिए। त्यस मिश्रदेशकाहरूसंग एउटा भाला थियो त्यो खूबै ठूलो अनि गह्रौं। थियो। त्यो जुलाहाको तानको डण्डा जस्तै ठूलो थियो। बनायाहसित एउटा लहुरो मात्र थियो। बनायाहले त्यो मिश्रीको हातमा भएको भाला अँठ्याए र उसको हातबाट खोसे। तब बनायाहले त्यस मिश्रदेशीलाई उसको आफ्नै भालाद्वारा मारिदिए।
23He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and killed him with his own spear.
24बनायाह यहोयादाका छोराले अनेक यस्ता साहसी कार्य गरे। बनायाह ती तीन वीरहरू जस्तै प्रसिद्ध थिए।
24These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had a name among the three mighty men.
25बनायाह ती तीसजना वीरहरू भन्दा अधिक प्रसिद्ध थिए, तर पनी तीन वीरहरू मध्येका एकजना तिनी थिएनन्। दाऊदले बनायाहलाई आफ्ना अङ्गरक्षकहरूका प्रधान बनाए।
25Behold, he was more honorable than the thirty, but he didn't attain to the first three: and David set him over his guard.
26पराक्रमी सैनकहरूका तीस जना बीर योद्धा यी हुनः योआबका भाई असाहेल, बेतलेहेम, दोदोका छोरा एल्हानान;
26Also the mighty men of the armies: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
27शम्मोत, हारोद, हेलेस, पेलोनी,
27Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
28ईरा, तकोईका ईक्केशका छोरा; अनातोतका अबीएजेर,
28Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,
29सिब्बकै हुशाती; ईलै, अहोही;
29Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
30नतोपाका महरै; नतोपाकै बानाका छोरा हेलेद,
30Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
31बिन्यामीनको गिबाका रीबैका छोरा; इतै, पिरातोनका, बनायाह,
31Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
32गाशका खोल्चाहरूका हुरै, अर्वातीका अबीएल,
32Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
33बहरीमका अज्माबेत; शाल्बोनका, एल्याहबा,
33Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,
34गीजोनी हाशेमका छोराहरू; जोनाथन, हरारी शागेका छोरा;
34the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shagee the Hararite,
35अहीआम, हरारी साकारका छोरा; एलीपाल, ऊरका छोरा,
35Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
36मेकराहका हेपेर, अहियाह, पेलोनी,
36Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,
37कार्मेली हेस्रो, एज्बैका छोरा; नारै,
37Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,
38नातानका भाइ; योएल, हग्रीका छोरा; मिभार,
38Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri,
39अम्मोनी; सेलेक, बेरोतका; नहरै, नहरैले सरूयाहका छोरा योआबको कवच बोकेका थिए।
39Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
40येतेरी, ईरा, सतत्री, गारेब,
40Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
41अहलैका छोरा हित्ती, उरियाह, जाबाद,
41Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,
42अदीन, रूबेनको कुल समूहका शीजाका छोरा; अदीना रूबेनको कुल समूहका अगुवा थिए, अनि उसित तीस वीरहरू थिए।
42Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,
43हानान, माकाका छोरा; मित्नी, योशापात,
43Hanan the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
44उज्जीयाह, अश्तेराती; होतामका छोराहरू शामा अनि यीएल, अरोएका
44Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,
45यदीएल, शिम्रीका छोरा अनि तिनका भाइ तिजी योहा,
45Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
46महाबी, एदीएल, यरीबै अनि योशब्याह, एल्नामका छोराहरू, यित्मा, मोआबी;
46Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
47एलीएल; ओबेद अनि योबाका यासीएल।
47Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
