मोशे आणि अहरोन यांनी इस्राएल लोकांना मिसरामधून लहान लहान टोव्व्यांनी बाहेर काढले. त्यांनी ज्या ज्या देशांतून प्रवास केला ते या प्रमाणे:

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

त्यांनी जेथे जेथे प्रवास केला त्याबद्दल मोशेने लिहिले आहे. परमेश्वराला जे हवे होते तेच मोशेने लिहिले. ते ज्या ठिकाणी गेले ती ठिकाणे आणि तेथून ते कधी गेले त्या वेळा या प्रमाणे:

Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Yahweh: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

पहिल्या महिन्याच्या पंधराव्या दिवशी त्यांनी रामसेस सोडले. वल्हांडणाच्या दुसऱ्या दिवशी इस्राएलचे लोक विजयोत्सवात हात वर करुन बाहेर पडले. मिसर देशाच्या सगळ्या लोकांनी त्यांना पाहिले.

They traveled from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the Passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,

मिसर देशाचे लोक परमेश्वराने मारलेल्या लोकांचे दफन करीत होते. ते त्यांच्या पहिल्या मुलांचे दफन करीत होते. परमेश्वराने मिसर देशाच्या देवतांना कडक शासन केले.

while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom Yahweh had struck among them: on their gods also Yahweh executed judgments.

इस्राएल लोकांनी रामसेस सोडले आणि ते सुक्कोथला गेले.

The children of Israel traveled from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

ते सुक्कोथहून एथामला गेले. लोकांनी तेथे वाळवंटाच्या काठावर तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

त्यांनी एथाम सोडले आणि ते पीहहीरोथला गेले. ते बाल-सफोन जवळ होते. लोकांनी मिगदोलसमोर तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon: and they encamped before Migdol.

लोकांनी पीहहीरोथ सोडले आणि ते समुद्रामधून चालत गेले. ते वाळवंटाकडे गेले. नंतर ते तीन दिवस वाळवंटातून चालत होते. लोकांनी मारा येथे तळ दिला.

They traveled from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

लोकांनी मारा सोडले व ते एलिमला जाऊन राहिले. तिथे 12 पाण्याचे झरे होते आणि 70 खजुराची झाडे होती.

They traveled from Marah, and came to Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there.

लोकांनी एलिम सोडले व त्यांनी तांबड्या समुद्राजवळ तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.

त्यांनी तांबडा समुद्र सोडला आणि त्सीन वाळवंटात तळ दिला.

They traveled from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

त्सीन वाळवंट सोडून ते दफकाला आले.

They traveled from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

लोकांनी दफका सोडले व ते आलूश येथे राहिले.

They traveled from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

लोकांनी आलूश सोडले व रफिदिमला तळ दिला. त्या जागी पिण्यासाठी पाणी नव्हते.

They traveled from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

1लोकांनी रफिदिम सोडले व त्यांनी सीनाय वाळवंटात तळ दिला.

They traveled from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

त्यांनी सीनाय वाळवंट सोडले व किब्रोथ-हत्तव्वा येथे तळ दिला.

They traveled from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.

किब्रोथ-हत्तव्वा येथून ते हसेरोथला राहिले.

They traveled from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth.

हसेरोथ येथून त्यांनी रिथमाला तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

रिथमा सोडून ते रिम्मोन-पेरेसला आले.

They traveled from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon Perez.

रिम्मोन-पेरेस सोडल्यावर त्यांनी लिब्नाला तळ दिला.

They traveled from Rimmon Perez, and encamped in Libnah.

लोकांनी लिब्ना सोडले व रिस्सा येथे तळ दिला.

They traveled from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.

रिस्सा सोडून ते कहेलाथा येथे तळ दिला.

They traveled from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

लोकांनी कहेलाथा सोडले व त्यांनी शेफेर पर्वतावर तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Kehelathah, and encamped in Mount Shepher.

शेफेर पर्वत सोडून लोक हरादांत आले.

They traveled from Mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah.

लोकांनी हरादा सोडले व मकहेलोथ येथे तळ दिला.

They traveled from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.

मकहेलोथ सोडून ते तहथाला आले.
26
They traveled from Makheloth, and encamped in Tahath.
27
लोकांनी तहथा सोडले व ते तारहला आले.

They traveled from Tahath, and encamped in Terah.

तारह सोडून त्यांनी मिथकाला तळ दिला.

They traveled from Terah, and encamped in Mithkah.

लोकांनी मिथका सोडले व हशमोना येथे तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Mithkah, and encamped in Hashmonah.

हशमोना सोडून ते मोसेरोथला आले.

They traveled from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.

त्यांनी मोसेरोथ सोडले व बनेयाकानला तळ दिला.

They traveled from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene Jaakan.

बनेयाकान सोडून ते होर-हागिदगादला आले.

They traveled from Bene Jaakan, and encamped in Hor Haggidgad.

होर-हागिदगाद सोडून त्यांनी याटबाथाला तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Hor Haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.

याटबाथा येथून ते अब्रोनाला आले.

They traveled from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah.

अब्रोनाहून त्यांनी एसयोन-गेबेर येथे तळ दिला.

They traveled from Abronah, and encamped in Ezion Geber.

लोकांनी एसयोन-गेबेर सोडले व त्यांनी त्सीन वाळवंटात कादेश येथे तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Ezion Geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin (the same is Kadesh).

लोकांनी कादेश सोडले व त्यांनी होरला तंबू ठोकले. अदोम देशाच्या सीमेवरील हा एक पर्वत होता.

They traveled from Kadesh, and encamped in Mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

याजक अहरोनने परमेश्वराची आज्ञा पाळली व तो होर पर्वतावर गेला. अहरोन त्याजागी मरण पावला. हा इस्राएल लोकांनी मिसर देश सोडल्याचा चाळीसाव्या वर्षाच्या पाचव्या महिन्याचा पहिला दिवस होता.

Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of Yahweh, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

अहरोन होर पर्वतावर मेला तेव्हा तो 123वर्षाचा होता.
39
Aaron was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.

कनान देशातील नेगब जवळ अराद शहर होते. अर्द येथे असलेल्या कनानी राजाने इस्राएलचे लोक येत असल्याबद्दल ऐकले.

The Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

लोकांनी होर पर्वत सोडला व सलमोनाला तंबू ठोकले.
41
They traveled from Mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.
42
त्यांनी सलमोना सोडले व ते पुनोनला आले.
42
They traveled from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.
43
पूनोन सोडून त्यांनी ओबोथला तळ दिला.
43
They traveled from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.
44
लोकांनी ओबोथ सोडले व ते इये-अबारिमला आले. हे मवाब देशाच्या सीमेवर होते.
44
They traveled from Oboth, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Moab.

मग ईयीमाहून (इये-अबारिम) ते दीबोन-गादला आले.
45
They traveled from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

लोकांनी दीबोन-गाद सोडले व अलमोन दिबलाथाईमला आले.

They traveled from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon Diblathaim.
47
अलमोन-दिलाथाईमहून त्यांनी नबोजवळच्या अबारीम पर्वतावर तंबू ठोकले.

They traveled from Almon Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

लोकांनी अबारीम पर्वत सोडला व ते यार्देन खोऱ्यातल्या मवाब येथे आले. हे यरीहोच्या समोर यार्देन नदीजवळ होते.

They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
49
त्यांनी यार्देन नदीच्या यार्देन खोऱ्यात तंबू ठोकले. त्यांचे तंबू बेथ-यारीमोथापासून अकाशीयाच्या शेतापर्यंत होते.

They encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even to Abel Shittim in the plains of Moab.

त्या ठिकाणी परमेश्वर मोशेशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला,

Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
51
“इस्राएल लोकांशी बोल, त्यांना या गोष्टी सांग: तुम्ही यार्देन नदी पार कराल. तुम्ही कनान देशात जाल.
51
Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52
तिथे जे लोक तुम्हाला आढळतील त्यांच्यापासून तुम्ही तो प्रदेश घ्याल. तेव्हा तुम्ही त्यांच्या कोरीव पुतळयांचा आणि मूर्तीचा नाश करा. त्यांच्या उंचावरच्या पुजेच्या ठिकाणांचा नाश करा.

then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places:
53
तुम्ही तो प्रदेश घ्या आणि तिथेच रहा. कारण मी हा प्रदेश तुम्हाला देत आहे. तो तुमच्या कुटुंबाचा होईल.

and you shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for to you have I given the land to possess it.
54
तुमच्यातील प्रत्येक कुळाला जमिनीचा काही भाग मिळेल. तुम्ही चिठ्ठया टाकून कोणाला कुठली जमीन मिळते ते ठरवाल. मोठ्या कुळाला जमिनीचा मोठा भाग मिळेल. लहान कुळाला लहान भाग मिळेल. चिठ्यां कुठल्या कुळाला कुठली जमीन मिळाली ते कळेल. प्रत्येक कुळाला त्याचा स्वत:चा जमिनीचा तुकडा मिळेल.

You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall you inherit.
55
“तुम्ही त्या लोकांना जबरदस्तीने बाहेर काढा, जर तुम्ही त्यांना तिथेच राहू दिले तर ते तुमच्यावर अनेक संकटे आणतील. ते तुमच्या डोव्व्यातील कुसळासारखे आणि शरीरातल्या काट्यासारखे बोचतील. तुम्ही ज्या देशात रहाल त्या देशात ते अनेक संकटे आणतील.
55
But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those who you let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land in which you dwell.
56
मी तुमच्याबाबत काय करणार आहे ते मी तुम्हाला दाखवले आहे. आणि जर तुम्ही त्यांना त्या देशात राहू दिले तर मी ते सर्व तुमच्याबाबतीत करीन.”

It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.
