नंतर हनानी आणि हनन्या यांना मी म्हणालो, “सूर्य चांगला वर येऊन ऊन तापल्यावरच तुम्ही रोज वेशीचे दरवाजे उघडा आणि सूर्यास्तापूर्वीच दरवाजे लावून घ्या. यरुशलेममध्ये राहणाऱ्यांमधून पहारेकऱ्यांची निवड करा. त्यापैकी काही जणांना नगराच्या रक्षणासाठी मोक्याच्या जागी ठेवा. आणि इतरांना आपापल्या घराजवळ पहारा करु द्या.”

I said to them, Don't let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand on guard, let them shut the doors, and bar you them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, and everyone to be over against his house.
