येशूने उत्तर दिले, तुम्ही दावाची शिकवण मानण्यास नकार दिल्याने तुमच्या पत्नींना सोडून देण्याची मोकळीक दिली. पण सुरुवातीला सोडाचिठ्ठी देण्याची मोकळीक नव्हती.

He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
