परमेश्वर मोशे व अहरोन यांना म्हणाला,
1
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2
“एखाद्या माणसाच्या अंगावरील कातडीला सूज, खवंद किंवा तकतकीत डाग असेल व तो महारोगाच्या चट्ठ्यासारखा दिसत असेल तर त्याला अहरोन याजकाकडे किंवा त्याच्या याजक मुलांपैकी एकाकडे न्यावे.

"When a man shall have a rising in his body's skin, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his body the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests:

मग याजकाने त्याच्या अंगाच्या कातडीवरील तो चट्ठा तपासावा व त्या चट्ठ्यावरील केस पांढरे झाले असल्यास व तो चट्ठा कातडीपेक्षा खोल गेलेला दिसल्यास तो महारोगाचा चट्ठा समजावा; मग त्या माणसाची तपासणी झाल्यावर याजकाने त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे.

and the priest shall examine the plague in the skin of the body: and if the hair in the plague has turned white, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the body's skin, it is the plague of leprosy; and the priest shall examine him, and pronounce him unclean.
4
“त्या माणसाच्या अंगाच्या कातडीवरील डाग पांढरा असेल पण त्याच्या कातडीपेक्षा तो खरोखर खोल गेलेला नसेल व त्यावरील केस पांढरे झालेले नसतील तर याजकाने त्या चट्टा चट्ठा पडलेल्या माणसाला सात दिवस इतर माणसापासून वेगळे ठेवावे.

If the bright spot is white in the skin of his body, and the appearance of it isn't deeper than the skin, and the hair of it hasn't turned white, then the priest shall isolate the infected person for seven days.

सातव्या दिवशी याजकाने परत त्याची तपासणी करावी आणि तो चट्ठा जसाच्या तसाच असून कातडीत पसरला नाही असे त्याला दिसून आले तर याजकाने त्याला आणखी सात दिवस इतरापासून वेगळे ठेवावे.

The priest shall examine him on the seventh day, and, behold, if in his eyes the plague is arrested, and the plague hasn't spread in the skin, then the priest shall isolate him for seven more days.
6
सातव्या दिवसानंतर याजकाने पुन्हा त्याची तपासणी करावी आणि चट्ठा जर बुजत चालला असेल व तो कातडीत पसरला नसेल तर याजकाने त्याला शुद्ध ठरवावे; ते साधे खवंद होय; त्या माणसाने आपली वस्त्रे धुवावी आणि पुन्हा शुद्ध व्हावे.

The priest shall examine him again on the seventh day; and, behold, if the plague has faded, and the plague hasn't spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab. He shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

“परंतु त्या माणसाने स्वत:ला शुद्ध ठरविण्यासाठी याजकाला दाखविल्यानंतर त्याच्या कातडीवरील ते खवंद पसरत गेले असेल तर मग त्याने पुन्हा याजकापुढे हजर व्हावे.

But if the scab spreads on the skin, after he has shown himself to the priest for his cleansing, he shall show himself to the priest again.
8
याजकाने त्याची तपासणी करावी आणि ते खवंद कातडीत पसरल्याचे दिसून आल्यास त्याने त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; तो महारोग होय.

The priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is leprosy.
9
“एखाद्या माणसाला महारोगाचा चट्ठा असेल तर त्याला याजकाकडे न्यावे.

"When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest;
10
याजकाने त्याला तपासावे; आणि जर त्याच्या कातडीला पांढच्या चट्ठ्यावर सूज आली असेल व तेथील केस पांढरे झाले असतील व सुजेच्या जागेवरील मांस हुळहुळे झाले असेल तर

and the priest shall examine him. Behold, if there is a white rising in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the rising,
11
त्याच्या कातडीतला तो जुनाट महारोग होय; याजकाने त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; अधिक तपासणीसाठी त्याला काही काळासाठी इतरापासून वेगळे ठेवू नये, कारण तो अशुद्धच आहे.

it is a chronic leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He shall not isolate him, for he is unclean.
12
“एखाद्या माणसाच्या कातडीला कोड फुटून तो डोक्यापासून पायापर्यत अंगभर सर्व कातडीवर पसरला असेल तर याजकाने त्याला अंगभर तपासावे,

"If the leprosy breaks out all over the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the infected person from his head even to his feet, as far as it appears to the priest;
13
त्याचा कोड अंगभर पसरल्याचे त्याला दिसून आले तर त्याने त्याला शुद्ध ठरवावे; त्याचे सर्व अंग पांढरे झाले आहे म्हणजे तो शुद्ध आहे.

then the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague. It has all turned white: he is clean.
14
पण त्याच्या अंगावर काही मांस कोवळे असेल तर तो अशुद्ध समजावा.
14
But whenever raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.
15
याजकाने कोवळे मांस पाहून त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; असले कोवळे मांस अशुद्धच असते; तो महारोग होय.
15
The priest shall examine the raw flesh, and pronounce him unclean: the raw flesh is unclean. It is leprosy.
16
“परंतु ते कोवळे मांस जर परत पांढरे झाले तर त्याने परत याजकाकडे यावे;
16
Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall come to the priest;
17
याजकाने पुन्हा त्याला तपासावे आणि जर त्याचा चट्ठा परत पांढरा झाला असेल तर त्याने त्या माणसाला शुद्ध ठरवावे; तो शुद्ध आहे.

and the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean of the plague. He is clean.
18
कोणाच्या कातडीला फोड येऊन तो बरा झाला
18
"When the body has a boil on its skin, and it has healed,
19
व फोडाच्या जागी पांढरी सूज आली किंवा पांढरा तकतकीत लाल रेषा असलेला डाग पडला तर त्याने तो याजकाला दाखवावा.
19
and in the place of the boil there is a white rising, or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest;
20
याजकाने त्याला तपासावे आणि जर ती जागा कातडीपेक्षा खोल गेलेली दिसली व त्यावरील केस पांढरे झाले असले तर त्याने त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; फोडातून बाहेर पडलेला हा महारोगाचा चट्ठा आहे.

and the priest shall examine it; and, behold, if the appearance of it is lower than the skin, and the hair of it has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. It has broken out in the boil.
21
पण तपासणी केल्यावर त्यावरचे केस पांढरे झालेले नाहीत व ती जागाकातडीपेक्षा खोल गेलेली नाही तसेच ती बुजून पुसट होत चाललेली आहे असे याजकाला दिसून आले तर त्याने त्याला सात दिवस वेगळे ठेवावे.

But if the priest examines it, and, behold, there are no white hairs in it, and it isn't deeper than the skin, but is dim, then the priest shall isolate him seven days.
22
तो कातडीवर पसरत गेला आहे असे दिसले तर याजकाने त्या माणसाला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; तो चट्ठा आहे.

If it spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a plague.
23
पण तो तकतकीत डाग तेथल्या तेथेच राहून पसरला नाही तर तो फोडाचा वण आहे, म्हणून याजकाने त्या माणसाला शुद्ध ठरवावे.
23
But if the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn't spread, it is the scar from the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
24
“एखाद्याच्या कातडीत जळाल्याचा वण असेल व त्या वणाच्या कोवळ्या मांसात पांढरा डाग दिसून येईल.
24
"Or when the body has a burn from fire on its skin, and the raw flesh of the burn becomes a bright spot, reddish-white, or white,
25
तर याजकाने त्याला तपासावे; त्या तकतकीत डागावरील केस पांढरे झाले असतील व कातडीपेक्षा ती जागा खोल गेलेली दिसत असेल तर त्या जळलेल्या जागी महारोग फुटला आहे; मग याजकाने त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; तो महारोगाचा चट्ठा होय.

then the priest shall examine it; and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot has turned white, and the appearance of it is deeper than the skin; it is leprosy. It has broken out in the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.

पण तपासल्यावर त्या तकतकीत डागावरचे केस पांढरे झालेले नाहीत व ती जागा कातडीपेक्षा खोल गेलेली नाही आणि ती फुसट होत चालली आहे असे याजकाला दिसून आले तर त्याने त्याला सात दिवस वेगळे ठेवावे.

But if the priest examines it, and, behold, there is no white hair in the bright spot, and it isn't lower than the skin, but is faded; then the priest shall isolate him seven days.
27
सातव्या दिवशी त्याने त्याला तपासावे व त्याचा डाग कातडीवर पसरत गेला आहे असे दिसले तर याजकाने त्या माणसाला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; तो महारोगाचा चट्ठा होय;

The priest shall examine him on the seventh day. If it has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
28
परंतु तो तकतकीत डाग तेथल्या तेथेच असून कातडीवर पसरला नाही व तो पुसट होत चालला आहे असे दिसून आल्यास ती जळलेल्या जागेची सूज आहे म्हणून याजकाने त्याला शुद्ध ठरवावे; तो त्या जळलेल्या जागेवरचा वण होय.

If the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn't spread in the skin, but is faded, it is the swelling from the burn, and the priest shall pronounce him clean; for it is the scar from the burn.
29
“एखाद्या पुरुषाच्या किंवा स्त्रीच्या डोक्यावर किंवा हनुवटीवर चट्ठा असला,

"When a man or woman has a plague on the head or on the beard,
30
तर याजकाने त्याची तपासणी करावी आणि ती जागा कातडीपेक्षा खोल दिसली व तिच्यावर काही पिंगट बारीक केस असले तर त्याने त्या व्यक्तीला अशुद्ध ठरवावे; ती चाई डोक्याचा किंवा हनुवटीचा महारोग होय.

then the priest shall examine the plague; and, behold, if the appearance of it is deeper than the skin, and the hair in it is yellow and thin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is an itch, it is leprosy of the head or of the beard.
31
तो चाईचा चट्ठा कातडीपेक्षा खोल नसला व त्याच्यावर काळे केस नसले तर चाईचा चट्ठा असलेल्या व्यक्तीला त्याने सात दिवस वेगळे ठेवावे;
31
If the priest examines the plague of itching, and, behold, its appearance isn't deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall isolate him the person infected with itching seven days.
32
सातव्या दिवशी त्याने त्या चट्ठ्याची तपासणी करावी; ती चाई पसरली नाही, त्या जागी पिंगट केस नाहीत व ती जागा कातडीपेक्षा खोल गेलेली दिसली नाही,

On the seventh day the priest shall examine the plague; and, behold, if the itch hasn't spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the appearance of the itch isn't deeper than the skin,
33
तर त्या माणसाने आपल्या डोक्याचे केस काढावेत; पण चाईवरचे केस काढू नयेत; याजकाने चाई असलेल्या त्या माणसाला आणखी सात दिवस वेगळे ठेवावे.

then he shall be shaved, but he shall not shave the itch; and the priest shall shut him up who has the itch seven more days.
34
सातव्या दिवशी याजकाने ती चाई पुन्हा तपासून पाहावी आणि चाई कातडीवर पसरलेली नसली व कातडीपेक्षा ती खोल गेलेली नसली तर त्याने त्याला शुद्ध ठरवावे; त्या माणसाने आपले कपडे धुवावे व शुद्ध व्हावे.

On the seventh day, the priest shall examine the itch; and, behold, if the itch hasn't spread in the skin, and its appearance isn't deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. He shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
35
परंतु तो शुद्ध ठरल्यानंतर ती चाई पसरत गेली
35
But if the itch spreads in the skin after his cleansing,
36
तर याजकाने त्याला तपासावे व ती चाई कातडीवर पसरलेली दिसली तर पिंगट केस शोधीत न बसता त्या माणसाला अशुद्ध ठरवावे.
36
then the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the itch has spread in the skin, the priest shall not look for the yellow hair; he is unclean.
37
परंतु ती चाई होती तेवढीच असेल व तिच्यावर काळे केस येत आहेत असे त्याला दिसून आले तर ती चाई बरी झाली आहे व तो माणूस शुद्ध झाला आहे; याजकाने त्याला शुद्ध ठरवावे.
37
But if in his eyes the itch is arrested, and black hair has grown in it; the itch is healed, he is clean. The priest shall pronounce him clean.
38
“कोणा पुरुषाच्या किंवा स्त्रीच्या अंगावर तकतकीत पांढरे डाग असतील.
38
"When a man or a woman has bright spots in the skin of the body, even white bright spots;
39
तर याजकाने ते तपासावे व त्या व्यक्तीत्या अंगावरील ते तकतकीत डाग करडे असतील तर ती कातडीवर फुटलेली दाद-अपाय न करणारा त्वचेचा रोग-होय. ती व्यक्ती शुद्ध होय.

then the priest shall examine them; and, behold, if the bright spots on the skin of their body are a dull white, it is a harmless rash, it has broken out in the skin; he is clean.
40
“कोणा माणसाचे केस गळून पडू लागले तर ते केवळ टक्कल आहे; तो माणूस शुद्ध होय.
40
"If a man's hair has fallen from his head, he is bald. He is clean.
41
त्याच्या डोक्याच्या बाजूचे केस गळू लागले तरी ते एक प्रकारचे टक्कल होय; तो माणूस शुद्ध आहे.
41
If his hair has fallen off from the front part of his head, he is forehead bald. He is clean.
42
परंतु त्या टक्कल पडलेल्या डोक्यावरील चामडीवर तांबूस पांढरा चट्ठा पडलेला असेल तर त्याच्या डोक्यावर महारोग फुटत आहे.

But if there is in the bald head, or the bald forehead, a reddish-white plague; it is leprosy breaking out in his bald head, or his bald forehead.
43
मग याजकाने त्याला तपासावे आणि त्याच्या टक्कल पडलेल्या डोक्याच्या भागावर, अंगावरील कातडीच्या महारोगासारखा तांबूस पांढरा चट्टा पडलेला असल्याचे दिसले,

Then the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the rising of the plague is reddish-white in his bald head, or in his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the flesh,
44
तर त्या माणसाच्या डोक्यावर पडलेला चट्ठा महारोगाचा होय; तो माणूस अशुद्ध होय; याजकाने त्याला अशुद्ध ठरवावे.”

he is a leprous man. He is unclean. The priest shall surely pronounce him unclean. His plague is on his head.
45
“ज्याला महारोग झालेला आहे त्याचे कपडे फाटके असावे; त्याने आपले केस मोकळे सोडावे, आपले तोंड झाकावे व इतर लोकांना इशारा देण्यासाठी ‘अशुद्ध अशुद्ध’ असे ओरडत जावे.

"The leper in whom the plague is shall wear torn clothes, and the hair of his head shall hang loose. He shall cover his upper lip, and shall cry, 'Unclean! Unclean!'
46
जोपर्यत त्याच्या अंगावर चट्ठा असेल तितक्या दिवसापर्यत त्याने अशुद्ध राहावे; तो अशुद्ध होय; त्याने एकटे राहावे; त्याची वस्ती छावणीबाहेर असावी.

All the days in which the plague is in him he shall be unclean. He is unclean. He shall dwell alone. Outside of the camp shall be his dwelling.

“एकाद्या लोकरीच्या किंवा सणाच्या वस्त्राला महारोगाचा चट्ठा पडला, किंवा तो सणाच्या किंवा लोकरीच्या ताण्याला किंवा बाण्याला, चमाड्याला किंवा चामड्याच्या वस्तूला पडला.

"The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it is a woolen garment, or a linen garment;

whether it is in warp, or woof; of linen, or of wool; whether in a skin, or in anything made of skin;
49
आणि तो चट्ठा हिरवट किंवा तांबूस असला तर तो महारोगाचा चट्ठा होय; तो याजकाला दाखवावा;
49
if the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything made of skin; it is the plague of leprosy, and shall be shown to the priest.
50
याजकाने तो चट्ठा तपासावा; चट्ठा पडलेली ती वस्तू त्याने सात दिवस वेगळी करुन ठेवावी.

The priest shall examine the plague, and isolate the plague seven days.
51
त्याने सातव्या दिवशी तो चट्ठा तपासावा आणि चामड्यावर किंवा वस्त्राचा ताण्यावर किंवा बाण्यावर अथवा चामड्याच्या कोणत्याही वस्तूवर तो चट्ठा पसरलेला दिसला तर ते वस्त्र किंवा चामडे अशुद्ध आहे, चरत जाणारे कुष्ठ आहे. याजकाने ते वस्त्र किंवा चामडे जाळून टाकावे;

He shall examine the plague on the seventh day. If the plague has spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in the skin, whatever use the skin is used for, the plague is a destructive mildew. It is unclean.

He shall burn the garment, whether the warp or the woof, in wool or in linen, or anything of skin, in which the plague is: for it is a destructive mildew. It shall be burned in the fire.

“परंतु तो चट्ठा पसरला नाही असे याजकाला दिसून आले तर ते वस्त्र किंवा चामडे अवश्य धुतले पाहिजे.

"If the priest examines it, and, behold, the plague hasn't spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin;
54
याजकाने लोकांना ते वस्त्र किंवा चामडे धुण्यास सांगावे. मग धुवून झाल्यावर ते त्याने आणखी सात दिवस वेगळे ठेवावे.

then the priest shall command that they wash the thing in which the plague is, and he shall isolate it seven more days.
55
त्यानंतर याजकाने पुन्हा त्याची तपासणी करावी, आणि जर तो आहे तसाच असला व जरी पसरलेला नसला तरी तो अशुद्ध समजावा आणि ते वस्त्र किंवा चामडे अग्नीत जाळून टाकावे.

Then the priest shall examine it, after the plague is washed; and, behold, if the plague hasn't changed its color, and the plague hasn't spread, it is unclean; you shall burn it in the fire. It is a mildewed spot, whether the bareness is inside or outside.

“परंतु धुतल्यावर तो चट्ठा पुसट झाला आहे असे याजकाला दिसून आले तर त्याने त्या वस्त्राचा किंवा चामड्याचा अथवा ताण्याचा किंवा बाण्याचा भाग फाडून टाकावा.

If the priest looks, and, behold, the plague has faded after it is washed, then he shall tear it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof:
57
इतके केल्यावरही जर त्या वस्त्रावर, त्याच्या ताण्यावर किंवा बाण्यावर अथवा चामड्याच्या कोणत्याही वस्तूवर तो चट्ठा पुन्हा आला तर तो चट्ठा चरत व पसरत आहे असे समजून ते चामडे किंवा वस्त्र अवश्य जाळून टाकावे.

and if it appears again in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin, it is spreading. You shall burn with fire that in which the plague is.
58
परंतु तो चट्ठा धुतल्यानंतर पुन्हा आला नाही तर मग ते चामडे किंवा वस्त्र शुद्ध समजावे, ते शुद्ध आहे.”

The garment, either the warp, or the woof, or whatever thing of skin it is, which you shall wash, if the plague has departed from them, then it shall be washed the second time, and it will be clean."

लोकरीच्या किंवा सणाच्या वस्त्रावर, त्याच्या ताण्यावर किंवा बाण्यावर अथवा चामड्याच्या कोणत्याही वस्तूवर महारोगाचा चट्ठा दिसून आला तर ती शुद्ध किंवा अशुद्ध ठरविण्याचे हे नियम आहेत.

This is the law of the plague of mildew in a garment of wool or linen, either in the warp, or the woof, or in anything of skin, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.
